Hello.

I have so many things to blog about, but I’m just too tired. You understand, don’t you? Brian and I went out for our anniversary tonight. We went to one of our favorite restaurants. Here’s a picture of all of us before left. Night night, my friends.

The Family. August 2006

On Monday, August 7th, Brian and I celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary. 11 years together. According to this site, copper, wool, and desk sets are the traditional (and modern) gifts associated with the seventh wedding anniversary. Desk sets? I think that is interesting. I’ve been thinking about getting Brian a new desk. We bought his just before our wedding from Ikea, and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t supposed to last this long, either way, I think we’ll outlast the desk. (in my opinion, we already have.)

How did we celebrate? My sister had a baby! That’s right, my sister in Louisville went into labor yesterday, so my mother, sister and I hopped in the car at 11am to witness something incredible. She was born on 8.7.06. My maid of honor, seven years ago, gave birth to a baby girl.
Although Brian and I could not officially celebrate yesterday, we still felt the presence of eachother. I returned home tonight.

Tomorrow night we celebrate! We celebrate our history, our future, our amazing children, the stronger than ever connection we feel today and the life that we’ve built and that we continue to build. Together.

I hope to share pictures and stories about my sister’s labor and delivery. It was a wonderful experience that I am so blessed to have been able to witness.

Seven years later.

Seriously. In my air drum picture, I was not drunk. That margarita in front of me was my first drink! The dancing pictures are from when I was drunk. Those pictures you shall not see.

Here are some pictures from the week. I’ve attached some pictures ofRacecar as he has changed so much over the past few weeks. He’s a great talker, singer, dancer, eater, sleeper, friend and cleaner. That’s right, CLEANER. He cleans all the time. I love that. I bought him a book today because of it! SeeAriel, do you hear that? Clean and get books! What a deal. Hopefully I’ll have a real entry soon, I have alot going on!

I hope during the heat you all take care of your postal carriers. I left water for mine and I loved that she wrote “thank you.” So freakin’ hot. For everyone, across the country. My Mom is 60 and delivers mail, on foot. She says bottles of water makes such a difference during those awful hot days. So, if we get them again…take care of your postal carriers, please!

This is how my boy eats. With one hand under the fork/spoon to prevent a mess. He is a master eater.
