Works for Me Wednesday
Posted by: | Comments
You know those days where you are running errands and you become hungry and wish you had a snack? And instead of a snack, you stop at McDonald’s and get a chocolate shake to hold you over until you get home? I have discovered THE GREATEST snack to keep in
your car. AND it’s low in fat, just 2 points for you Weight Watchers participants. (by the way, chocolate shakes are 13 points.) I’m sure you’re all familiar with the Nabisco brand 100 calorie packs, they have now introduced 100 Calorie granola bars in Chips Ahoy and Oreo flavors and they are good! (I personally like the Chips Ahoy one better, but they are both tastey!) Enjoy and don’t feel guilty! (P.S. They also come in Nutter Butter flavor, but I have not tried that one, yet.)

Where does Florida live? **UPDATED**
Posted by: | CommentsThat’s what Ariel asked me. 15 times yesterday. It’s a difficult question to answer. I just replied with "I don’t know, dear. I don’t do geography."
I’m just kidding, relax. I would never call her dear.
Also, while taking her potty today at the public restrooms at Target,
she asked me, in a very loud voice "why are your eyes crinkley?" (referring to my wrinkles) She has most certainly hit that age where she asks question after question after question. Like "why did she sneeze?" (stranger in Target.) "Why does he have a beard." (Scary guy at the store.) Good times.
Our flight leaves in 21 hours, and it’s about time for me to close my laptop and stop blogging. For a long, long, time. Didn’t I tell you? No wireless connection where we are staying. wierd. There are a few things I’ll be checking up on, very occasionally, but I don’t think I’ll be blogging. Sorry about that.
Oh! And we are under a Winter Storm Warning (no snow, just freezing rain), from tonight through tomorrow afternoon, so who knows? Perhaps I’ll be blogging from O’Hare tomorrow. UPDATE! Our flight has been cancelled. I’m just thankful we found out now, rather than at 5 in the morning. The airline we booked with is totally booked for the rest of the day tomorrow, so we’ve been on the phone for 80 minutes trying to rebook. ON HOLD. Brian and I have been taking turns holding the phone. He finally just got through and he’s being instructed to call someone else. He’s getting PISSED. In the meantime, flights that we could be getting on are being booked by other people.
UPDATED: We booked a flight out of the Indianapolis airport for 9am Sunday morning, which means we would have to leave at 4am to get there in time. We decided to try to change our flight to Monday morning from Chicago. When we called, we found out our flight from Indy (the second flight we booked) had been cancelled, as well. (the plane could not get there in time.) Good thing we called. We are leaving Monday morning from O’Hare and staying until Thursday. All is good. Our flight isn’t until 9:20am. Very nice! (but we do have 1 stop there and back, but I’ll try not to think about that.)
While I’m gone, check out this entry, by Chicky Chicky Baby, for some great lin
ks to some great entertainment.
And the lovely (and hilarious) ladies over at MamaPop! have given us a post of pure Eye Candy. Just for you. ENJOY & YOU ARE WELCOME.
Once again, IzzyMom tackles another subject with conviction. Here she is calling FOULPLAY on Myspace, the whole topic is ridiculous. When will everyone figure out that breastfeeding is natural?
I do have my Works for Me Wednesday all lined up, but other than…I’ll see you all on Thursday or Friday!
If Kirstie Alley can do it.

Y’all remember when Kirstie showed up on Oprah in a bathing suit? Well, this may be the only time she has inspired me to anything.
I took pictures of myself in my bathing suit, my FOURTEEN DOLLAR Wal-Mart suit. And I’m going to share them with you. Gutsy, no? I just thought, if I’m going to be in front of the actual public, why not share with the people who have read and encouraged through the whole "bathing suit" dilemma. If anyone had told me one year ago (and 188 pounds) that I would be posting a picture of myself on the internet wearing a bathing suit,
I would have laughed…for months
.
Just a few things:
1. Michelle, unfortunately, the price of the suit, was the sale price. Originally they cost over $70.
2. Lynette, when I said OxiClean, I meant for clothes. I would not recommend that on your face. (I think I spelled it with a "y" last night)
3. I cropped my head off the picture because I was too scary, it was pre-shower, pre-contacts, pre-hairwashing. I wanted you guys to stick around, so I cut my head off.
Just some random thoughts floating around in this empty head of mine.
Posted by: | Comments- I can’t keep up with Idol. IT’S TOO MUCH. Last night we watched the 2 hours of
menboys singing and that was alot of TV for me. (and I think I was bored. ???) Tonight, we are supposed to squeeze in the girls singing, the results show and Grey’s Anatomy? I don’t think so. I should let you in on the fact that we don’t watch our TV while the kids are awake, but even if we did, we both have plans tonight, which may even get us home past bedtime. You can bet we’ll be watching Grey’s over any silly little talent show. (I really love American Idol, but when compared to Grey’s, it becomes a silly little talent show, m’kay?) - Tonight I am going to dinner with a dear friend of mine. She just had a baby in December and has been on maternity leave with her 3 kids, under the age of four, she’s been away from all of the kids one time since December, she needs some Mommy Time. We are going to one of our favorite little italian restaurants. Good food and delicious wine. The last time we were there, we were there for hours. This past Tuesday, I was at my Mommy’s Group, I left the house at 6:10pm (should have been six) and returned home at 10:45pm. And tonight I’m gone again. Will I ever stop feeling guilty for feeling like I’m having TOO MUCH Mommy Time? Is two nights a week too much?
- I am FUH-REAKING out about the airport on Sunday. We are LEAVING our house at 3:30am. Our flight is at six. I can’t help but wonder how we are going to lug at least four suitcases, two kids and two car seats from our car to the airport. We did buy two suitcases that are for kids, they can pull those, but still. They need their hands held, don’t they? We won’t have any spare hands to hold their hands. This is what I worry about now. Don’t even get me started on my coat dilemma. Do they wear them to the airport? Then what? Carry them to Florida?
- Why do my kids like Curious George the cartoon. He’s irritating. I guess they like monkeys.
- Noah peed his pants today. No biggie. Two steps forward, one step back.
- Can I wear my hair in a pony tail tonight?
- Thanks to my SIL, I have started using OXYCLEAN, I can’t get over how well it works!
- I bought these "fashion sneakers" the other day and I LOVE them, they are so comfortable, which is good because I typically LIVE in running shoes. Stacy and Clinton would be so proud.

- And lastly, my legs are sore, this may be why: (I’m the one who looks like a German Soldier holding the absolute NUTCASE on my back–only one of us was drinking, she shall remain nameless.)
