So, last night, as I mentioned before, we went to see Jim Gaffigan. He’s the greatest comedian. So.Funny. Seriously, if you haven’t watched that video, man, YOUAREMISSINGOUT. And, if you think that video is funny, go to youtube.com and find many more. You could watch for hours. Believe me, I have. And I have his DVD, Beyond the Pale and it’s something I would grab if my house were on fire. Okay? ANYWAY, we attended this Stand Up Comedy Event and it was, as expected, hilarious. No other word to describe it. We heard that after his shows he does a "Meet & Greet" to
sign autographs, take pictures, etc. And I knew, I was going to meet him.
I’ll back up a little and let you know that I used to work with his brother and that Jim Gaffigan is from NW Indiana, where we reside. So, I used to work with his brother, until beforeRacecar was born and I also attend the same church as his brother. So, during my "Meet & Greet" with Jim, I mentioned that I used to work 
with his brother. Lynette and I also mentioned that he should go to a bar with us for some beer. He said "my brother is at this particular bar, why don’t you guys join us." We stood there blankly and blinked *blink* *blink* processing what he just said. And he did not just say it once, oh no, he said is more than once! (btw, our hubbies skipped the line and went to a bar.)
We left the theatre and found our hubbies and we were all like "we have to go to this bar." and they we
re all like "why" and we were all like "cuz Jim told us to, okay?" So, we went
to the bar. I ran into Jim’s brother, who I used to w
ork with and he was like "put your money away, your drinks are on us." And we just stared at him blankly blinking *blink* *blink* like, OMG, Jim Gaffigan and free drinks. It was awesome, and then, just a few minutes later, Jim walked in and we totally hung out. For. Hours. And we did shots and told jokes and I asked him AMILLION questions, because I’m nosey curious. It was unfreakingbelievable. fo’real. By the way, his brother, who I used to work with, is almost as funny as Jim. So we laughed alot. When it was time for us to leave, he continued to tell Lynette and I that we were his best friends. Isn’t this crazy? I think it’s CRAYZEEEEEEEEEEE. Like, if there weren’t pictures, I’d be like, WHATEVER, TOTALLY DREAMT IT. But there are pictures and Jim left a message on Lynette’s myspace page, so it wasn’t a dream, but it was DREAMEEEEEEEE. Truly a stunning, memorable, awesome, incredible evening. I like being 30.
Oh and see that picture where we are like dressing? that was funny. I asked him if he wanted to trade shirts. I said "do you want to trade shirts, I’ll wear your coat and you wear my shirt?" And he said "yeah." So, we traded, (I had a tank top underneath my shirt, y’all, RELAX!) but he wound up not putting on my shirt because he didn’t think it would fit, but the picture…oh the picture.
So it’s a HAPPY HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY indeed!

It truly was a night to remember. You did a great job describing it. I felt like I was reliving it all over again. I wish! Couldn’t have asked for a better friend to spend the evening with. What happened to the toilet picture, come on now that was priceless?!?!?

Wow, I didn’t realize how much you were into Jim Gaffigan, his biggest stalker, I mean superfan! That’s awesome that you had such an unbelievable night hanging out with him. Looks like he was having a lot of fun, too! I’m so happy for you that you had such a memorable/special night
