I don’t know what to write, other than we are besides ourselves with sadness. I delivered the babies last night, James at 9:43 p.m. and Jake at 9:55 p.m. The identical twins brothers were created together, delivered together and died together. Every bit of them was perfect. What caused their death seems to have something to do with an umbilical cord.
We, of course, are so very sad, but please let me take a moment to thank EACH AND EVERYONE of you for your thoughts, prayers and comments. Your words of encouragement and prayers have helped not just Brian and myself, but every member of our entire family and our friends who are grieving right beside us. Thank you for taking the time to show us how much you care.

I just happened to find your blog this morning through the “discover” option in my Google blog reader… and when I read this post I got cold chills and tears sprang to my eyes immediately. We lost our niece at 27 weeks last year, and it breaks my heart to know that anyone, even a perfect stranger, is suffering that same kind of loss. Words seem hollow and empty, but please know that I am lifting up your entire sweet family in prayer. The only thing that has provided real comfort for me is knowing we will someday have reunion with my niece. Your precious sons Jake and James will be held in the hearts of many here on earth, and held in the arms of Jesus until your reunion with them in heaven. Sending so much love and prayers for comfort in your direction… I am so very sorry.

My heart just fell to my stomach when I read your post. I can’t even tell you how incredibly sorry I am. I am here for you if you need anything. If you want to talk or anything…just let me know. I am here! I would give you all a huge hug and not let go if I was there. You must have given those beautiful boys so much love that they were fufilled with life.
