Shredding

March 31st, 2009

Today marks the last day that I’ll be able to move my legs, arms, head, fingers, toes and butt without saying the words “ow, shit, OHMYGOD and I’m going to die” with every  movement I make.

I have committed to doing the 30 Day Shred Challenge starting tomorrow.  I’m doing it for me, but friends, I’m also doing it for you.  I know there are so many of us who want to lose weight, who need to lose weight, that look in the mirror and cringe at the site of sagging skin and larger than life love handles.  So, I’m hoping that through all of my sweat, swearing and soreness that I’ll be able to inspire and motivate those of you who have not taking care of THEMSELVES for way too long.

I’ve taken my measurements (heaven help me) and I will be taking my before picture (ew) and I’ll be sharing this information with all of you.  Then in 30 days, after completing the challenge, I’ll be sharing my results with you.  and when that day comes, I’m hoping to be a lot thinner, a lot stronger and a whole lot happier with myself.

But guess what?  You can do this with me!  The sisters at the Sisterhood are giving away SEVEN copies of Jillian Micheal’s DVD right now.  The giveaway is open for only 24 hours, so head over there right now!  RIGHT NOW, I SAY!

I hope to be shredding & losing with you soon!

Do you have no idea what the 30 Day Shred is?  I’ll give you a hint, a 30 day challenge, 20 minutes per day and you will be sore, very, very sore.   Head over to the giveaway to find out more!  Good luck!

After the 1st day of the Shred I couldn’t walk or sit down for two days. I admit I curse at Jillian. She yells at me. You will be so happy to hear the words “That’s it for workout 1″ GOOD LUCK!

Good luck! I know you can do it if you put your mind to it =) I keep reading about the Shred around the Internet and it sounds like so many people are feeling so much stronger and healthier as a result of it. I hope it works for you too! Also, what a great way to do this, hoping to get other people involved and to help other women out. Everybody needs a little push now and then.

Also, I’m sorry that I’m so far behind on blog reading and commenting. I’ll try to get caught up! Eep! I had meant to say awhile ago (and when I eventually catch up on my e-mail, I’m sure I’ll say it again): thank you so much for taking the time to comment on my website. You wrote that you were glad that I cherish my pregnancy and you wish more women felt the same. When I read it, I felt so…I don’t know, happy? That someone else understood how I felt, that someone else identified with my desire that more people enjoyed and cherished their pregnancies, etc. So thank you; that comment has stuck with me.

Good luck! I did the work out… once… for only 10 mins. I couldn’t even make it all 20 mins. I’m such a loser. I have way more weight to lose, than you, though, lol, so I know you can do it! I do have over 150 pounds to lose, so I’m hoping your motivation will help me!

Can’t wait to read about your progress!

If everyone is doing the shred, does this mean that I get to eat all the pizza rolls whenever we’re together? PLEASE SAY YES.

Excited for you, and inspired! Had my baby 14 months ago. Lost the weight but SO not toned…and while back to my desired weight, two sizes bigger just because I’m not in shape (inches!) Over the last months bought Wii Fit, The Kettlebell and dvd’s (read somewhere Mariska Hargitay from Law and Order SVU swore by them in getting her shape back after baby) 30 Day Shred, a Yoga/Pilates mat, and pulled the winsor Pilates DVD’s from where they’d been stored (got my smallest inches wise, plus the absolute strongest, most flexible, feeling good EVER when I did those consistently) Anyways! They have all been sitting together in a little corner. Don’t know what I thought me staring at them all was accomplishing (haven’t done a one!)Have heard great things about the Shred too. Maybe you can help me kick into a jumpstart. I don’t always feel like exercising because of life circumstances. Bet that might be true for you. You can do it — I can at least try too. I will be cheering you on all the way. Need any encouragement please let me know! (I have heard Shred ROCKS — but that during the workout portion it is painful, she pushes and literally just kicks your a** the whole time. BUT results come if you stick with it! I believe in you!

I’m entered, so I sure hope I win. I thought Monday was the start date though. You’ll know if I won. I’ll be the teacher crawling around the preschool wimpering. Thanks for inspiring me once again. You are truly the best!

BETH! We are so on the same page. I did Day One of the Shred this morning and OHMYLORD I want to DIE. I am so sore tonight – how will I make it through tomorrow morning’s workout? But you know what? When I was done this morning I felt SO GOOD and so proud of myself. I’ll be back for more tomorrow.

Thanks for the reminder to do my measurements. I need to do that, too.

I’m so stoked we are shredding together! Here’s to much hurt and much happy when these 30 days are up!
