I just told my husband we need to clean out the flower beds because the buds are popping through all the old leaves. I am so excited and ready for spring!
Hands down, one of my favorite sights.
We’re in Wisconsin right now, and there is still SNOW in places up here. Makes me think that our winters aren’t so bad, after all.
I was taking out some trash bags this morning (ah… nice!), but was stopped in my tracks as I noticed buds popping from my lilac bushes. Barry and I planted 5 little bushes along our driveway, on top of our lopsided stone wall, last October… and man – oh – man did my eyes light up! I did finish my task (you know, the trash) and then touched my lilacs like they were little glass ornaments. I LOVE lilacs. I had lilacs around my home in New Hampshire when I was a kid, and I have planted lilacs in the yard of every home I’ve owned. I can smell spring. Taste spring. See spring. Feel spring. And your gorgeous and timely photos further made my day!! (No, I still don’t have a camera. I am naked without one.)
I was in the backyard last night picking up sticks (or rather branches), and when I brushed back some leaves, I saw GREEN!!! I was SOO excited. I almost ran back inside to get the camera, but I didn’t… Thanks for posting the pictures… it makes me SOOO happy!
WOW!! For as great as your pictures of people are….your nature shots are OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! You should seriously be working for some nature magazine racking up the dough!!! lol!!!! Seriously, your shots of the outdoors just go straight to my heart…this one makes me feel so happy inside!!! I LOVE the change of seasons……
We had my family b-day party last night and each boy gave me potted tulips, the buds have just barely popped through the dirt. Even though the weather is still so dreary, I can look at my little pots and feel peace.
Beautiful! I cannot wait until I see those hints of green around this place!

I have lots of stuff budding right now, too, including some tulips I thought I had dug up! It’s a nice surprise. So glad it’s spring!!!

Flowers & plants are beautiful when they’re in full bloom, but the site of these little buds is breathtaking! It’s coming! Spring really is coming!
