You Capture. Week Two

March 3rd, 2009

I’m so excited about this week’s You Capture challenge.  If you recall, the challenge this week was perspective.  To look at something differently. I can’t wait to see the way you all looked at something different and captured it.  It will make us all think more creatively.  Be sure to check out everyone’s entries this week and don’t forget to leave a comment.  Who doesn’t love a comment?  Am I right or am I right?

Here’s the shot I took, this shot is SOOC (straight out of camera, which means, no editing.)  I typically edit everything, but this shot and the purity of the white was just perfect.  These flowers were a gift from Stephanie:

Now it’s time to share yours.  Don’t forget a few important details: Please make sure you are linking directly to your specific You Capture post (and not just your site, for instructions, go here) and please make sure you are linking back to this challenge in your post.

WIN!  Here’s a special treat for you.  For anyone that participants in today’s challenge, you’ll be entered to win a custom camera  strap slipcover from Shey [B] Etsy shop!  The winner may choose any of the fabrics in her shop.

Aren’t they wonderful?  Winner will be selected randomly from the Mr. Linky list.  Contest ends on Friday, March 6th at 9:00 p.m. CST.

next-week

Next week’s challenge is texture.  Simple, right?  Remember, the goal of You Capture is to encourage you to pick up your camera and take pictures, so please do so!  Don’t just fish around in your oldies for a fitting shot, get creative and snap a few!

For some inspiration on texture, go here.  Happy Capturing!

Thank you so for starting this. I am loving it. If I could be so bold as to suggest something. The first week in March would be a great time to do something that would tie into nature. We’ll have just gotten back from the Smokeys and I’m sure I’d have something that would work. I love your flowers. I wish I could be as good as you with photography. You’re the best, in more ways than one. Love ya!!

I’m intrigued! I like the Grey’s music during episodes, but I can’t place this guy. I need to win the album so I can enjoy him too, but I will leave him in your arms…

Today? I am LOVING THE INDIANA WEATHER! WARM! I’m talking, 30 degrees warmer than just a couple of days ago – 50s and very, very breezy. I’m sure it’s telling me spring is coming soon!!!!

PLEASE please PLEASE – random generator – PICK ME! PICK ME! I’ve never won anything on a blog giveaway……

Today I am loving my husband. We just moved in to our first home. Just made the first payment. Since we have moved in every single one of us has been sick with something all the while trying clean this place up and move in. Not to mention clean the old place up and move out! Yesterday I was just out of it, on the couch could not function and he painted the living room for me. He’s a wonderful man and I ask myself every day what on earth did I do to deserve such a man. I am thankful every day. He and I have been through a lot, he was in the Army and deployed several times, our first son was very ill when he was born but recovered, our second son suffered a stroke, it’s just been hill after hill but we continue to make it through it all together.
    sniff.
    Thanks.
