Easterly

April 13th, 2009

How can one holiday be so tiring?  Yesterday afternoon, Racecar and I were sitting on the driveaway at my in-laws house (it was warmish with no wind! and sunny!), he laid down on my lap and said “man, Easter is so tiring.”

He is so right.  I slept for eight hours last night and all I want to do is sleep right now.  I did do level two of the 30 Day Shred for the first time today, which was difficult but really good, I also shredded on Easter, while hopped up on chocolate and jelly beans.  (not recommended.)  What is recommended, for those of you on level one…be sure you do all of those push ups, you’ll need those arms muscles in level two.

So now, I need to do the laundry I didn’t do yesterday and clean the house  I didn’t clean yesterday, so how about I just give you some pictures from yesterday and I’ll go take a nap.  er. I mean, I’ll go do my chores.  k?  (but I’m really going to take a nap.)

The Easter Bunny brought us Mario Kart for the Wii which is just about the GREATEST GAME IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE.  All four of us are completely addicted.  If I weren’t working my way towards a Macbook, I’m certain all I’d do is play and never work.

damn responsibilities.  I love the Easter Bunny.  She’s brilliant. I wish she’d bring me a Macbook.

Brian and I are pretty much candy nazis.  When we said they could have a peep and at 8:30 in the morning to boot, they deemed yesterday as THE BEST DAY EVER.

Two years ago I would have flipped out about grass stains and holes and Racecar picking out red socks to wear on Easter.  Nowadays I realize that those things do not matter at all.

Yesterday we missed James & Jake so much, but as always we are reminded of how blessed we truly are.  so blessed.

Great pics from Easter. My camera sat on the shelf except to take pics of dinner to send to The Hub’s – got to get my digs in LOL Even more so when his Easter dinner was Wendy’s lol

To bad the Easter bunny didn’t bring you a Mac, then you would be cool like me ROFL.

I Love! Love! Love! Ariel’s dress. Soooo grown up!! Racecar looks handsome & grown up too. Glad it was a good day. Just FYI, as I type, MAM is planning a lunch date at chik-fil-a with said grown up kids (thoughtfully suggested by PBS).

Ariel’s dress is so pretty. Mario Kart is the best game ever. It was my favorite game on the old school Super Nintendo back in the day. My sister has it for the Wii and when I am playing I don’t share with anyone. So it is a good thing we don’t have it in our house. My kids would learn way too many bad lessons.
    Yea for shredding!

Funny! I bought that SAME tie, after you referred me to the shop for both of my boys. I never got a picture of them together. But, JJ chose to wear his with crocs, and I gave up and let him.

We LOVE Mario Karts. It is the awesomest.

You have a couple of beautiful children!

I was a candy nazi until I tried potty training and found out that Sugar was terrified of the potty chair – now she thinks candy is a brand new food group and asks for it all the time, fortunately she isn’t afraid of the potty chair anymore… unfortunately she isn’t catching on to the whole potty in the potty chair thing very fast :)

I LOVE me some Mario Kart!

That is the exact dress I wanted to get for Zoe, but they didn’t have it in her size. It didn’t matter anyway…we got 11 inches of snow and had to hunt eggs in the house. LAME.

    Happy Easter!

Your kids are adorable! Where did you get that gorgeous dress for your daughter?

Oh man- ever since my 5.5 year old played Wii at her cousins house, all she wants to do is get one. She even knows what the box looks like. Do you have the wii fit? I heard it can tell you your weight/bmi. Just wondering. :)
