so many bullet points.
ByI’m trying so hard to stay on top of my responsibilities before heading out on my trip on Friday but I’m pretty sure that I’m failing miserably and I only think that because the laundry piles are now taking over our house and the piles on the coffee table (ANDALLOVERTHEHOUSEFOREALZ) is enough to make my head spin, but I’m trying, I’m reaaalllly trying.
I have about 10,000 pieces of information to share with you right now, so I’m thinking I’ll do that with bullet points because bullet points are so pretty.
- ooooh, pretty.
- This Friday I’m going to Disney with some rockstar bloggers. I’m not really sure how I got invited but I’m pretty sure I’ll arrive and everyone will look at each other and be like “who invited her?” And the person who invited me will get fired and I’ll have to sleep on the streets in Orlando which is okay with me because the high temperature is 90 and if you know me, you know how much I love 90 degrees. Anyway, I’m going with Lisa @ Crazy Adventures in Parenting, Christine at From Dates to Diapers, Megan at Velveteen Mind, Emily from Mommin’ it Up, Oh Amanda,Marsha at Sweatpants Mom, Andrea at Mommy Snacks and Lindsay at Surburban Turmoil.
If you’re interested, you can follow us on twitter. #magicalmoms will be our hashtag. I’m really excited to go and spend the weekend with these people. Without kids. In my own room. By myself. With free food. And maybe even a waffle cone.Man, I love waffle cones.
- I’m sorry I didn’t do an Idol recap last night. I had dinner with friends and then had to shop for my trip. My budget was $75 but I spent $293.
- I suck at budgets.
- For those that have been in San Francisco, I leave for San Fran on the 7th of May, what is a MUST SEE while I’m there?
- I got a haircut today and got my eyebrows done which is just good news for everyone because the hair was frightening. (the eyebrows were even worse.) In all seriousness, if anyone lives in my area and needs a good hair stylist, you need to give my girl a try.I have been seeing her for three years and she does a great job every single time. I love her. Also, if you go to her and say that I sent you, she’ll give you 10% off. If you’d like to go to her, send me an email and I’ll give you her info. She’s awesome.
- I am actually going to shut my computer down for a few hours and really clean my house and do all of the laundry. I’m hoping that Brian will come home and be so impressed with all of my hard work that he’ll forget about the $293 I spent at Target last night.
- Stephanie helped me shop and she did a great job. Everyone needs a Stephanie.
- EMAIL! Oh my gosh, I am so behind on my emails. Literally, hundreds of emails behind. If you’ve emailed me and I haven’t responded, please be patient. I’m hoping to sort through everything within the next two weeks. But if you’ve emailed me asking me to promote your product for nothing in return, I will not be responding.
- I lost weight this week. Last week I weighed 176.8, this week I weighed in at 174.4, which is a miracle. I love miracles. I also love ice cream and Papa John’s and Miller Lite. Can you see why my weight loss is a miracle?
- Thank you to everyone for your support with the Folding Laundry Print Shop. It’s been so much fun. Don’t forget that tomorrow is the last day where all of the proceeds will be donated to the March of Dimes. So far over $150 has been donated because of the shop. I love that!
- I think I’ve tortured you enough with the randomness. I’m figuring out that bullet points aren’t so pretty after all and too many can be annoying. I’ll remember that next time.
- one more thing.
- Be sure to check back this Friday on a post about how to edit your photos in Picasa and Picnik, it’s even for those who don’t have an interest in photography. You won’t want to miss it!
- bye
(whoever did what they did for that Etsy shop for me…well, I just can’t thank you enough, I am so excited), but man, I sure wish you would tell me who you are. Tell me, k? It will be our little secret.)

~ Yay bullet points!

~ Yay Disney too! The months I worked as an intern there were incredible! Where are you staying? Which parks are you going to? If you have any questions about secret places to park for free (or at least, that were free in the past) or anything about African animals (I drove a truck for Kilimanjaro Safaris) let me know!
~ Congrats on the weight loss! That is fabulous! You should just stick to that diet apparently!
~ Yay for donations! Fabulous!
~ Byes!
I am drowning in laundry too. That’s why I told the kids “let’s go play in your rooms” and I am sitting on BG’s bed on the laptop and they are destroying their bedrooms, lol! One day I will conquer this house, just not today.
OMG I want to be wooed away on trips to Orlando.
Which, btw, is just an hour and a half from here. I thought you guys were going to be in DisneyLAND. Damn!
How long do you have in San Fran? What types of things do you like to do? History, art, nature, etc. I just spent a weekend there in March and my brother lives in Oakland so I can get specific info for you. Shoot me in e-mail!!
a) Enjoy the blogger meet-up. YAY for blogger meet-ups!
b) I love waffle cones too.
c) Let’s not talk about e-mail. E-mail is evil.
d) Congratulations on your weight loss! Woo-hoo!
love SF, we lived there for a few years and it is THE BEST city!!so with kids, there is a fantastic “science center” called the exploratorium” that is located int he palace of fine arts which is a super cool part of town with lots of awesome architcture that would be FAB to photograph…accross the street from that is an awesome park/beach with a rediculous view of the g.g. bridge…again, great for photos.
just the two of you? skip alcatraz…snooze…get a ticket and ride the cable car that takes you to the top of lombard st (the “crookedest road in the world”, great view of the whole city from up there. do the cable car around 6 when everyone is having dinner and you can peek into their lives in their adorable houses as you pass by! get the transit pass so you can use the city buss too.
ghiridelli square is cute and fun, directly across the street from that is the cannery which has tons of personality and often live music, a few restraunts and outdoor seating. or around the corner from that is in-n-out whcih apparantly if you don’t live in california, you probably have not had the pleasure of in-n-out.
what else? i may be back with more. love that city, so much to do!
OMG you crack me up. We’re both gonna get her fired for her picking us haha
I canNOT wait to meet you.
I am so behind on email, my reader, and it isn’t gonna get ANY better with trips away. But hey, WE’RE GOING AWAY. ALONE. I still can’t wrap my head around that!!! lol
You’re so right, everybody needs a Stephanie. Lurve her.
Wait.
I think I messed up what I meant there. What I *meant* to say is that.. I understand how you feel about wondering how we got this gig. Errr {blush}
Ah crap. Nevermind, I friggin’ lost my noodle. I SUCK lol
You know what’s gonna be nice? To get some sleep, so that I might come home with half a brain lol
What? So no idol recap, then? Have fun this weekend!
Clam chowder in a bread bowl. For breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For REAL.
Also, Alcatraz. Okay, I know it’s the most touristy thing EVER, but I love it. And the come home and watch Escape from Alcatraz. Seriously. Or watch it before you go – EVEN BETTER.
I think maybe I know why you went over your budget. Stephanie likes to spend. : ) Will miss you while you’re gone!
Steph
I just wanted to say hellllloooo!! I found your blog a few days ago, and have been silenting stalking you/it ever since. I realized this is creepy, and decided to speak.
I want to go to Disney!!
Have fun! That must be so exciting!
And, BTW, you are the ONLY name on that list I recognized.
San Francisco:
The Ferry Building
Chinatown
The flagship store of Williams-Sonoma (if you’re into that kind of thing)
Moose’s for brunch — and while you’re there head up to the Coit Tower (in Washington Square)
Little Italy – Cafe Sport is good and it’s inexpensive
I agree that Alcatrez is worth it – you’re a tourist, for goodness sakes!
::sigh:: I love San Francisco. Enjoy both trips!
Bullets can be fun…in moderation…lol
I hope you have the best time! I wish I could be packed in your suitcase. I have never been to anything Disney…so jealous.
If Brian forgets the $293 you think he could help my husband forget the $194? That would be great…thanks.
Didn’t know you were going to Disney, too. Bummed I can’t be there. Hey, I’m not into hype, but please do be careful and wash your hands and stay away from anyone who is visibly sick. Stupid swine flu is now in our area, too.
Congrats on the loss!
I forgive you for no Idol recap. This week.
I wanna go to Disney.
You make me laugh everyday. Thank you so much for that!
So I’m mostly jealous that you got to go shopping at Target and spent $293 dollars. And to top it off, you shopped with Steph! That just put me over the egde.
If anyone deserves to go to Disney for FREE, it’s you, hooker. FOR REAL. Enjoy. Eat lots of waffle cones and take some pictures of Mickey for BJ.
I cannot wait to see your photos of Disney and San Fran. That’s what I’m most looking forward to. Love me some BF Photography, girl.
I miss you. So much. And yeah, I emailed you, so do you think you could bump me up in the queue? Surely I take precedence over your laundry. K! Thanks.
Hi- So jealous of the Disney trip. Have fun. Warm weather is so needed around Chicagoland!
Wish we could see a pic of your new haircut
hint hint
Dont feel bad about spending too much yesterday at target. We went too and spent $145 which is probably the most we have ever spent. LOL.
For SF- I have never been there. Hopefully one day when I am rich (hahaha). I have heard that citypass is a great deal for other cities. I see they have one for SF. Check it out.

This is the first time I have read your blog. I am hooked. Your bullet points are great. What you have listed beside them has caused me to realize at 39 years old, I probably should wear depends before I visit your site again! Get the point! You have wit, humor, and I am loving this laugh! Have a fabulous trip to Disney!
I know the feeling – so much to say – so little time, but we loved hearing about your fun trip. What a group of awesome ladies!!
enjoy your trip!! can’t wait to hear more
I’m with Christy in that you are oh so deserving of waffle cones (YUM) and Disney! Also, now that Steph has made you go way over budget on clothes, we need to go makeup shopping so I can push you way over budget on that. I mean, you need new makeup to go with your new clothes. It’s only right.
Yep, I know the feeling!! I’m drowning in 6 people’s laundry with no dryer!! I also discovered that if you don’t hang clothes right on the seam with clothespins you wind up with this really funny looking lump in your clothes….I went around yesterday with a ‘hump’ on my shoulder that really shouldn’t have been there lol….
San Fran – I’ll focus on the eating!
The Thirsty Bear in the financial district: Organic Brewery, reasonable, fun and really good. They have a website.
Vesuvio bar – funky little bar great for getting a cocktail. Jack Kerouac hung out there and there is a great bookstore right by the place.
Crab on the pier – it’s touristy but worth it – so yummy. You can also see the seals on Pier 39.
Palace of fine arts in San Francisco is a great place to have a picnic – there is a bus line that runs right to it.
We enjoyed chinatown and also got a public transportation pass so we could ride cable cars whenever we wanted.
BETH!!! I just checked out Picnik and I’m so totally and completely in LOVE! It is fabulous! I’ve been using Picasa for about a month, after reading about it in one of your previous posts. Last night, I decided to finally check out Picnik. I was delirious with how awesome it is!!! I did a BUNCH of editing and came up with some photos that I’m SO happy with (posted on my blog just moments ago). I just wanted to say thank you for letting us know about it!
I hope you’re having a wonderful time in San Francisco! Thanks again!
