This week’s theme was fun.
Did you have fun with this theme? I honestly pictured myself taking pictures of my kids having fun while riding bikes or putting cereal bowls on top of their heads, but instead I am going to share pictures of something that was fun for me to do. The actual act of taking these pictures was fun for me.
My niece, her husband and their new baby came to visit this past weekend, so I just had to take pictures of the baby’s squishy-ness and of these new parents.

And yes, this does mean I am a great aunt. (letsnottalkaboutit,k?)
And here’s a fun shot of the kids because I can not resist them.
Yesterday, they spent five hours away from each other and once they were reunited, they were the best of friends and extra silly. So silly that when they were getting ready to go to the store, they decided to trade jackets and accessories.
Dad did not allow the switch to take place in public.

Now it’s time to share your shots! I can’t wait to see the fun you captured!
But first, just a few things to keep in mind:
1. You can join in on this challenge at any time! We welcome & love new participants.
2. Please make sure you are linking directly to your specific You Capture post in Mr. Linky (and not just your site, for instructions, go here) and please make sure you are linking back to this challenge in your post. If you don’t abide by this, your link will be removed. (I know, I’m so mean.)
3. Try your hardest not to reuse a picture from your archives, the goal of You Capture is to get you moving with your camera, get creative! Challenge yourself!
4. Do your best to visit the other participants’ site – everyone loves the traffic, the comments and the feedback!
5. And finally, post as many pictures as you want on your post.

Rustic.

Lovely pictures of an adorable baby!
First of all, how embarrassing for me, could you please remove my first Mr. Linky, it has a residual piece of another post.
Now, more importantly, babies are the funnest (ok, poor grammar!). But seriously, so so cute.
Great captures!
He’s beautiful Beth, just beautiful. The pictures are, as usual
, AMAZING!!!!
I cannot wait to take on Rustic!! FUN, FUN!!!!
I love that first one. What a cutie!
What a sweetie. He/she has beautiful eyes. You didn’t say if it was a boy or girl. Lovely pictures.
Sigh, those photos are so breath taking! Oh how I wish that I were in that same experience right now looking into those beautiful, precious innocent eyes!
Congrats on the great aunt thing, because I just know that you ARE a great aunt!!
I can’t believe you are a great aunt! These photos are awesome. I will post mine in the morning!

How sweet. Don’t worry I am a great-aunt too!6x now! Yikes!
I know you had fun shooting these pictures because the results are SO phenomenal. What a great photographer you are!
Nothing like a new baby to brighten the world! Great pictures of what YOU think is fun.
Oh I love it! I don’t know if there is anything more fun then taking pictures of sweet babies! These pictures are so precious.
I love the idea of a photo challenge. I have decided to join in. Thanks for hosting this!

Loving those photos, Great Aunt Beth!
I can’t wait until I have a squishy baby for you to photograph (and hold and threaten to throw through windows).
Great pictures. I would love to know more about the middle one. Did you edit it and if so, how, or are the colors and shadows naturally like that?
I don’t talk about being 42 and a grandma either.
OH! He IS squishy! I love squishy babies!
Wow! A great Aunt. You must have become an aunt when you were, like, 2! That baby makes me ache for another…
How Cute!!! FUN TIMES =)

Such pretty pics of a gorgeous baby! He’s got such big, curious eyes. And no wonder! Your niece is just beautiful.
You and I must have been on the same wavelength. I was trying to come up with ideas of OTHERS having fun, but ended up taking photos of things that I find fun.
So, next week’s topic is rustic? Hmmm…I’m going to have to think about that one, I think…
Hey, believe it or not, I had no inspiration this week. I didn’t want to just take shots of my kids, and I couldn’t think of anything else. I had no ooomph this week.
I hope to have my new camera this coming week, so I can play along with Rustic… that sounds fun! I think I already have an idea for a great shot.
I love these challenges, because it pushes me to be creative and seek out shots instead of just letting them come to me.
haha I love the last one–I do the same thing to my daughter and son..and daddy feels the same way!! They look like models posing.
Ah, what a sweet baby. And I won’t tell anybody that you are a great aunt if you don’t tell anybody that I am a great aunt, either!
Oh babies! I love babies – this makes me want another one!
Love love love your work, Beth. So, I’m thinking that you are throwing Christy a bone with this week’s theme.
Sweet pictures – I love the 1st one
great pictures of course!!
hmmm Rustic…I will be on the look out.
Your pictures are beautiful. I’m new to the You Capture challenge this week and looking forward to next week although Rustic is definitely gonna be a challenge. But hey, I’m up for it!
OMG – I didnt’ even notice the switching of clothes when I was here last. Now THAT is fun!
Beautiful captures.
I love the baby pictures-always fun, even when they’re crying (as long as they’re not your kid crying!)!
But I really love your silly kids trading clothes! It wouldn’t be so silly for my two boys, but it is funny to see my youngest wearing my oldest’s pants!
“Rustic” is going to be a true challenge for me, but I think I’m up to it!
Well I think these have to be some of my favortie pictures EVER! (I’m not biased because I’m the lucky GRANDMA!!!) Really, I just LOVE these!!!!
Lovely pictures!
