You Capture. Week Six.

April 1st, 2009

Did you have a good time capturing spring this week?  I know many of us had some difficulty since it snowed over much of the country this week.  I’m guessing we’ll see some awesome snow shots this week, I can’t wait.

During this time of year, I just watch trees, every single day.  I watch how they transform, I even started taking a picture of a particular tree of mine every week starting a few weeks ago just so I could monitor it’s progress.  I can’t wait to see the photos side by side.

So, it’s no surprise that I chose these images for this weeks subject:

Spring DSC_6303 copy

Spring DSC_6305

I just can’t fathom that these little tiny, freaky looking buds (look at them close up and really examine their texture!) will soon be beautiful green leaves.  I love it.

Now it’s your turn!  But first, just a few things to keep in mind:

1.  You can join in on this challenge at any time!  We welcome & love new participants.
2.  Please make sure you are linking directly to your specific You Capture post in Mr. Linky (and not just your site, for instructions, go here) and please make sure you are linking back to this challenge in your post.  If you don’t abide by this, your link will be removed.  (I know, I’m so mean.)
3.  Try your hardest not to reuse a picture from your archives, the goal of You Capture is to get you moving with your camera, get creative!  Challenge yourself!
4.  Do your best to visit the other participants’ site – everyone loves the traffic, the comments and the feedback!
5.  And finally, post as many pictures as you want on your post.

next-week

Next week’s challenge is fun.

So, go forth and capture…and have fun.

I wish our tree’s had buds. Only a couple in the entire neighborhood are budding up. Your shots are so breath taking. I love the crisp blue sky behind the white and red of the tree. I could get lost in your photo’s.

    Three thoughts:
    1) Gorgeous!
    2) I want a better camera!
    3) I am jealous of the blue sky!

We have buds on some of our trees, but not as vibrant as yours! I stuck with the budding flowers around here. Oh! There’s a cardinal in the tree outside as I’m typing this! Of course, they’re around all winter, but any birds now remind me of spring!

Yay, I’m finally playing, too! I also shot my trees this morning as the sky was begging to be in the picture as well. I’m so happy it is Spring. You must be a bit further south than me because that’s what I expect our tree to look like next week!

Awesome photos and they put mine to shame.

well now, given that here (UK) it really does not feel like spring has sprung, my SPRING photo is very round about and so with it i have attached a poem to sort of link the photo with the theme of spring. I hope it works. I hope it counts. If it doesn’t, apologies and i hope it makes you go awwwwwww! in any event

Are those the James and Jake trees? I know that these trees mean the world to you… how special to take a photo each week and watch them grow. I can’t wait for you to post the whole series.

I too have an image of tree buds, but I seem to have misplaced my 75-300 lens. My pictures would have been so much better if I could have been able to “see” them closer.

Thank you again for doing this! I am glad to see you have more people then last week. xo
