American Idol – top four
ByI can’t believe we are down to FOUR FINALISTS and the last four? Are pretty stinkin’ awesome. Slash is going to be our rock icon tonight, helping Kris, Adam, Danny and Allison. I was always impressed with the way Slash could smoke a cigarette while playing the guitar and never starting his hair on fire. His talent knows no bounds, man.
Adam Lambert – A Whole Lot of Love -so, I don’t know what to say because I know that many of you are huge fans of his, but he is just screaming AND he sounds JUST.LIKE.JANIS.JOPLIN mixed with Axl Rose mixed with screaming. Mixed with more screaming, which I guess is good because well, it’s Rock n’ Roll night, right? The end was pretty cool, but um, I don’t know. He’s just not my kind of performer. Ariel didn’t like it either.
But, the judges really liked it a lot which I don’t understand, but that’s okay. I know he’s going to win. whatever.
Allison Iraheta -Cry Baby - I’m enjoying Allison’s look tonight. I’m almost done watching her performance and I think I’m terribly bored. Like really bored, which sucks because I have mad love for her.
zzzzzzzzzzzzz. She sounded good, though.
Okay, there’s a duet with Kris and Danny. I wasn’t expecting this but I’m liking the change up! Kris is extra, extra hot on an extra hot platter tonight.
I don’t even know what the means but let’s just say that Kris + black leather + Kris dancing = Beth is happy.
Good song, lots of fun. Pitchy in a bunch of places, but it was enjoyable.
Kris Allen - Come Together – GREAT SONG. I am a Beatles lover. Kris + The Beatles + an electric guitar = THE BEST SHOW EVER.
I’m all about the math tonight.
I am LOVING this performance and the way he changed it up at the end. Really great and modern. He’s such a good boy. I enjoyed this so much more than Adam’s performance.
Kara CAN SUCK IT. She doesn’t like his performance? He’s trying too hard? She’s been drinking out of Paula’s cup.
Simon can suck it, too. They’ve ALL been drinking out of Paula’s cup.
Danny Gokey - Dream On – Okay, huge tidbit about Beth…Beth LOVES Aerosmith. I have been to more Aerosmith concerts than I can count. I’m excited about hearing this song on Idol. I’m not so sure about this performance, I mean, I adore Danny but I’m not a fan of the muppety-throaty singing that he seems to be doing in this song, but he does sound good and it was entertaining.
Oh yay! We get to hear Adam screaming again! Adam and Allison are singing Slow Ride which now only makes me think of Guitar Hero when I hear it. I blame Brian.
This is tough, naming the bottom three at this point in the game. I guess it doesn’t really matter does it?
So, just tell me who YOU think is going home, m’kay? (Don’t say Kris or Danny or Allison, m’kay?)

I don’t watch American Idol. I have all the Tuesday tv I can handle with Biggest Loser and dancing with the Stars results show. When are you going to tell us all about your Disney trip? I want to hear all about what it is like to get VIP treatment.
I dream every week that it will be Adam, but I know deep down it won’t be. I haven’t even watched it yet (I’m starting to just now – and EWWW on Adam thus far) but I couldn’t resist reading your thoughts beforehand. LOL
I’m with ya on Adam. Not lovin’ the screaming. I usually fast forward through his performances. I wonder if that’s just showing my age.
I still love Adam. Yes, yes, I’m the black sheep. I can deal with this…I was debating Adam’s awesomeness with my husband about tonight. He does not like him. But I think the guyliner puts him off.
I really enjoyed Allison. She is adorable AND a bad ass, and the duet was…wait for it…AWESOME!
I also love Aerosmith fiercely (esp. Steven Tyler, he’s delish). And I have to say that Danny crucified the ending of the song! It made me sad!
And Kris, well, he’s aight for me (that was so Randy). I like him okay but I like my boys a bit dirtier and asexual (this may be the Adam obsession talking).
So, who’s going home?

I like Adam, but he isn’t my total fav. I love Danny. Kris is a cutie pie. I’ve never been a fan of Allison! Sorry. I’m thinking she is going home.
I LOVE Kris myself. I’m over Adam. He’s been entertaining at times but if he wins I can guarantee every time he comes on the radio I’ll switch to a different station. Kris is from my hometown so I voted a million times. He makes it past tomorrow night and will be downtown watching him on Friday!!! So fingers crossed!!! I definitely think the judges throw him under the bus every week and it isn’t fair.
I missed it tonight, so I popped over when you tweeted that your re-cap was up. Wish I could’ve seen it, but vicariously living through you.

i’m so upset my dvr didn’t record ai tonight for some reason. i’m so glad i got to read the recap. so, i’ve never been a fan of adam, but my hubby who is a big nirvana fan loves him. ugh. so, my heart throbs are danny and kris. while i think allison is very talented i think she’s in with a rough batch to win the whole thing. at this point i think the top five will have albums soon so i’m not sure it matters who actually wins, but i wish adam or allison would go home. even though i’m pretty sure adam or danny will win the whole thing. i would just cry if kris went home. i like him a lot.
i haven’t watched idol….and really will probably fastforward to kris to see this hottness on a platter and be done, but this link made me think of you!! did you know oprah is looking for HUGE Seal fans?!?

Unfortunately I think it’s going to be left up to the guys as I believe Allison may go home. I’m not really into Adam either so it’s a little disappointing to me that he’s probably going to win.
But as far as last night goes, I thought the performances were all pretty good and that Kris, yes, totally yummy. I even tweeted about his cuteness! : )

I’m going to say Kris and Allison.
I like everyone…I hate the last few weeks but I don’t ever want anyone to go home.
But it’s to the point now, where anything could happen.
I’m just excited about seeing Daughtry perform tonight…YUM!! I love him.
I’m an Adam fan, but I can see how the “screaming” gets to be a bit too much. I like that rocking out stuff though. Although I never liked any of the “hair bands” ever. So…maybe I don’t like Adam after all.
Anyhow, I hate to say it, because I like her, but I think Allison is going home. Kris, Chris, whatever…is cute. Danny is loveable (hello, he lost his wife at such a young age) and a lot of people like Adam. You have to say one thing about Adam, at least he is different and unique.
This is a tough week. I am a fan of Adam, can’t deny the guy knows how to use his pipes– however, I am tired of the screaming too. I downloaded songs last week but not his and I won’t download this one either
Gokey made me sad– he is a brilliant singer, but him and that song were not friends.
I vote we narrow it down to four this week… what can I say, I hate picking sides.

The problem with Adam is that he’s perfect everytime. He hasn’t grown as a performer the entire time. I’m not down with that.
I think Allison was good, Kris was good as well (the judges are idiots)… Danny not only was pitchy, he RUINED the song! Yet the judges still pimped him, “Oh well, you sucked, but you took a risk, We lOVE yOU!”
Ugh, Danny better go home tonight…
I love Kris and Danny! I didn’t care for Danny last night at all!
Kris is wonderful!! He is an artist and I think he’s been very creative this year with the themes and sticking to who he is as an artist. Go Kris!
And Adam? Yucky. But I hope he wins it. Only because I want Kris and Danny to be able to make the kind of album they want to. You know what I mean? Danny can do a christian one if he wants and Kris can just be Kris!

I think you and I may be in our universe where Adam is concerned. I don’t get the mad love for him. I loved his version of Play That Funky Music, but other than that, I just don’t get it. I was glad Allsion went home. Adam is next. Then, my boyfriends can duke it out at the end.
My guess for going home would be Allison and Danny in the bottom….But, then again, I read this after I watched last night! I still love Adam and his look. It’s the young Elvis thing, I guess. I missed half the show on Tues. so I didn’t get to see all the excitement the first half. I am an Allison fan too and hated to see her go. I like Aerosmith too!
