It’s Mother’s Day today, the sun is shining here in San Francisco, we have a day planned full of touristy fun things to do.

Yesterday, Brian and I went to Anthropologie which was pretty much one of the single greatest experiences of my life. And you may think that I am just saying that, but I am not, it was, honest to God, one of the single greatest experiences of my life. That store is so beautiful and so inspiring and so unbelievably good for my soul.

But damn. It’s so expensive. Fortunately, I found some wonderful little treasures that will make me happy for years to come. Brian bought me some LOVELY perfume for Mother’s Day. I can’t wait to put it on and think of him and Anthropologie and love. I’ll definitely think of love.
I think I’m okay today. I am feeling bits and pieces of sadness because well, you know. But also because a very large part of me wishes I were at home in my pajamas with my family. But I’m not.
And I’m okay.

With all of my heart and soul, I wish every single one of you the most beautiful Mother’s Day ever. May you hear the birds singing, may you feel the love of your family and may you be acutely aware of the blessings that surround you.
Happy Mother’s Day to all of you mothers out there, those with hearts that are fulfilled, those with hearts that yearn and those with hearts that are feeling sorrow today. You are not forgotten. This I promise you.

Love you all.

Your hair is AMAZING! I love it so much!!!! You look amazing. Is that a diet Coke in the bag Brian’s holding? Can you ask him to grab one for me too?
Those Gerberas are almost as good as your hair, but not quite….still beautiful, though. Love them!
Have a wonderful, peaceful, fabulous, amazing time being a tourist today.
I love you!
Happy Mother’s Day, lady!! Enjoy the rest of your trip!
Beth, are you coming up north at all? I would love to meet you if you are. I am 3 hours north of San Francisco, but the drive once you get past Santa Rosa on 101 is beautiful.
I am following you on twitter now, found you through Jenny’s page.
Take care, and have a lot of fun in San Francisco!
Jen

Isn’t Anthrologie wonderful? I’ve found some nice things on clearance at the one in Oakbrook, including the world’s most softest, prettiest nightgown EVER.

Beautiful!
oh and happy mother’s day to you!
P.S. I see dingleberries!!
Beautiful.
That black and white of you is so perfect and beautiful that if I knew you in real life and thus could get away with it without looking like a weirdo I’d print it and frame it and have it right here by my computer with my other favorite photos. I love San Francisco. I hope it found a way to do to your heart what it always does to mine.
So glad you are having a great time in San Francisco and a good Mother’s Day!
You are a true beauty! Did you know that Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters started in Philly? A woman in my church was in on the ground floor. Their flagship is here too. I bought a lot of things for A’s nursery at Anthropologie.
glad you had a wonderful day with your hubby. i know it is hard to be away from the kids, but they need little breaks from us, too! =)
and glad that you enjoyed your mother’s day, too. that is what makes you such an amazing person and inspiration: you are acutely aware of your great loss & you embrace that grief so honestly…..and without minimizing that, you celebrate all the big AND little things in your life. THAT is awesome.
ps–you’re beautiful. =)

That is a beautiful picture of you and your husband – I am glad that you are enjoying your trip. I love Anthropologie so much – glad that you had fun there
Happy belated Mother’s Day Beth! You and your man look right at home in San Fran.
And I take it that was your first visit to Anthropologie? I wish I could put that store in my pocket and carry it with me everywhere. It’s so wonderful!
I love the black and white photo of you Beth. You look beautiful!!!!! I’m glad you had a great Mother’s Day!
Praying for you….
Don’t you just love anthropologie? I’m doing the Julia Cameron The Artists’ Way book, and it asks you to go on one “artist’s date” with yourself once a week. So far, two of my dates with myself have been to anthropologie. For a retail store, it is such a lush, soulful experience. I just found your blog, and like it already!
I’m so glad I found your blog–I love it! And….anyone that loves Anthro is a friend of mine!
