You Capture. Expression.
ByI’m quite excited to see what everyone came up with for this week’s You Capture challenge.
There are many definitions of expression, I chose this definition when I took photos of the trees we planted in memory of James and Jake: a mode, means, or use of significant representation or symbolism.
And I feel very good about the outcome:

The trees bloom for such a short period of time each year, I wanted to make sure to grab a few shots of their blossoms since this is the first year they have bloomed after we planted them. Each day, Ariel and I “ooh and ah” over their beauty. They are simply beautiful. (these beautiful trees are lollipop crapabbles, the greatest tree in the entire universe. If you ever plant one, you MUST tell me. My sister is planting two in memory of James and Jake and I just know she’ll get so much joy out of these beauties!)
Now it’s your turn to share. But first, a few very important details:
1. You can join in on this challenge at any time! We welcome & love new participants.
2. Please make sure you are linking directly to your specific You Capture post in Mr. Linky (and not just your site, for instructions, go here) and please make sure you are linking back to this challenge in your post. If you don’t abide by this, your link will be removed. (I know, I’m so mean.)
3. Try your hardest not to reuse a picture from your archives, the goal of You Capture is to get you moving with your camera, get creative! Challenge yourself!
4. Do your best to visit the other participants’ site – everyone loves the traffic, the comments and the feedback (not just you!)
5. And finally, post as many pictures as you want on your post.

COLORS.
Get out there and have fun!

Those are breathtaking! What kind of tree is that? The little buds look like pomegranate seeds.
Such beautiful buds! And such a lovely memory for you ~ I love the symbolism!
Such a lovely post, Beth. The pictures are perfect for your meaning.
The trees are beautiful and what a sweet Mother’s Day present from your boys that they are blooming now.
Absolutely beautiful. And perfect for the expression of your love and memories of your sweet boys…
Beautiful as always!
I love, love, love the story of these trees and how much happiness they bring you.
Very beautiful! Love it.
A beautiful expression of your grief and joy. I love that you did this. I lost twin in my 2nd trimester also (nearly 9 years ago) and know how wonderful it is to have something tangible and full of life as a reminder of the lost.
Have a good day!
Gorgeous!
I had quite the different idea about this weeks. LOL
I love your shots! I interpreted this challenge a little differently, but isn’t that the beauty of You Capture?
Beautiful photos…and wonderful meaning of expression. What a beautiful expression of your sons’ lives!

I’m so happy your trees are blooming, and I love how you interpreted expressions. The English teacher in me loves that your themes can usually be interpreted in SO many ways.

Beautiful photos and expression! I’m speechless.
Beautiful photos! You are a very talented photographer. I’m an amateur at photography otherwise I’d think about participating in your meme.
So amazing. I love that the trees only bloom for a short time. They are so beautiful and sentimental.

As always, I love your shots!! The trees are beautiful, so special. Do you know how big they will get? We need to plant some tree, but since our lot is smallish I don’t want a tree that is going to someday take over the yard.
beautiful shots! a great expression of beauty and nature! i love flowers – they are some of my favorites pictures to take and you captured yours so well.
thanks for setting up You Capture. what a blessing it has been to me. making new friends and getting new ideas. thanks so much!
Gosh, not only are those pictures gorgeous, the symbolism behind them only enhances the incredibly beauty of them! I am sorry to have missed these past two weeks – things have just gotten away from me but I am back on track now and eager to look for “colours”.
Hope all is well.
What kind of tree is this please? I think it’s lovely!

I am late (as usual) but my post is up! I love this, thanks!
Your photos are great! I love to photograph flowers and blooms, so pretty
Love these. They are very beautiful, and their meaning makes that so much more so. Thank you for sharing the boys’ trees with us. I’m going to walk around my yard to find a special place for one here….
I had a great day on Friday. I know I’m late to this party! My expression?…through my daughter’s weird ability to find four leafed clovers everywhere…
Great interpretation- beautiful.
Hello, I found you through a MMB friend. I love to take pictures wishing I was better at it. Can you explain this Capture You Challenge to me. I would love to join if it isn’t to late! I look forward to hearing from you.
Have a great day and Smile!
