Have you checked out FlyLady.net? I don’t do nearly everything she sets people up to do, but her system has made an amazing difference in my life. My house is pretty much clean all the time and I only spend 15 minutes a day cleaning.

Ok, that spider story made my skin crawl…or maybe it was a spider crawling on my skin. either way, EW.

I yell a lot too, probably because my house isn’t clean. I really need to find a cleaning lady who will clean for chocolate. I would make her cookies and brownies all the time if she’d just clean my house. Hmmmm….I wonder….

You are hilarious. Seriously, I love the way your write. So honest. And the spider story, yikes!

I had a garage sale last weekend. I didn’t do anything until Friday night at 7pm and it turned out okay. Best advice– get premade garage sale stickers? It makes it sooo much easier. I think you can get them at the Dollar Tree or something.

I feel your pain. It’s garage sale weekend in my neighborhood and I have a TON of stuff to get rid of. We had it all planned out that we (hubby and I) could both be here on Friday and Saturday. Kids were going to do a lemonade / cookie stand so they could (a) make some $$ and (b) have something to do. (Guess which of those things is more important?!) Then my 7 year old joined the stupid swim team which has a stupid meet on Friday and then she got invited to a birthday party and then it started to look like we were going to be part-time garage-saling and full-time kid running. Enter miraculous sister-in-law who offered to drive for the bday party. We still have the swim meet to contend with, but, having never had a garage sale in my life (mostly because, well, I hate them), I think a day and a half is more enough. Oh, and I don’t know how to price stuff. Apparently, however, I know how to rant in the Folding Laundry comment section. Whew. I’m exhuasted. Good luck with your sale!

OMG you’re story of the spider will give me nightmares for WEEKS. I’m deathly afraid. DEATHLY AFRAID. I don’t blame you for not wanting to do the basement. Where’s hubby, is he your Great White Spider Hunter like mine is???

My goal is to keep the house clean all summer long, too. I ask the kids straighten up their rooms in the mornings before going out, to include attempting to make their bed. After dinner we do an hour long clean up and it’s been keeping the place clean. Thank goodness!

Our little neighborhood yard sale is this weekend but I’ll be at Turkey Run and I didn’t think it would be worth it to gather all of my junk together just for Friday…
