You Capture. Nature.

By Beth
Jun 10, 2009

Wasn’t this week easier than last week’s?  Of course it was, we are surrounded by nature.  Admittedly, I never got out and went for a photo walk like I was planning to do, but that’s okay.  I have to settle for the shots I took in my front yard and my Mom’s backyard.

ahhh…the delicate peony.  My Mom has so many beautiful peonies all over her yard.  Makes me wonder why I don’t have any?  Note to self: steal peonies from Mom’s house plant peonies in yard.

This one looks like a pink peony pillow, don’t you think?

And we go from peonies in my Mom’s yard, to fungus in mine.  so not fair.

Thanks for getting me out of my comfort zone this week. I have looked at the beautiful entries for many weeks, but this is the first time I have participated. I was afraid my pictures would look silly next to the beautiful ones that everybody else has, but I was brave and went for it.

And I’m happy I did! Thanks for doing this every week Beth!

I absolutely love the second one. We had peonies outside our house when I was growing up. They had been there for some 100 years. I loved looking at them and loved the story grandma would tell about her dad being so sick with the Mumps, or something similar and how he used to look out the window at peonies to help make him feel better.

Great shots, my father in law is a flower farmer. He has acres and acres of Peonies…And my house backs up to one of his fields so at the end of the season I had blooming flowers as far as I could see…They are beautiful. Glad I found this, I posted a flower for your carnival as well!

I know why you don’t have peonies. Because ants like peonies. Don’t plant peonies, you’ll have giant ants!
