Around Town

Honestly, I have so much to write about but time seems to slip away from me.  In a way it’s pretty cool because I’m doing other things besides sitting on my computer but on the other hand, I think I’m spending more time WAITING FOR MY COMPUTER TO DO SOMETHING.

It’s constantly hanging up and I’m losing my mind and that’s just not fair to you, is it?  Brian and I are celebrating our ten year wedding anniversary next week, maybe, just maybe, Brian will buy me a Macbook for being the BEST WIFE EVER. And really, it’s not just a gift for me, it’s a gift for you, too.  Am I right?

But I’m thinking that won’t happen.  I don’t want a diamond ring, I want a Macbook, man.

or maybe just a simple ring from Etsy.

See?  My brain?  It’s all over the place.

When I was at Blogher, Sarah and I were waiting for the elevator, we were among the top floors of the hotel and while we were waiting someone else walked up and began waiting with us.  I looked at her, not paying attention to the person standing there and she made eyes at me and then tilted her head towards the person so I would look.

It was Carson Kressley from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and I was all, “Oh hi!  You’re famous, can I take a bunch of awkward photos of you?“  And he was all sure!  And he was also very shiny.

I took the photos with my iPhone (I’m not sure why) and getting them off would be sooo hard, well not really, but I’m so lazy, but I’ll share with you sometime, I promise.

Anyway, the three of us climb into the elevator, like some sort of strange family and as we were about to stop to pick up more crazy ladies I said “hey, do you want me to be your bodyguard?

He said “no” and moved to the other side of elevator and refused to make eye contact with me after that.

But then, a few minutes later I met The Pioneer Woman and I was like “now THIS is meeting a celebrity.

Anyway.  That is all.  Just wanted to share.

Also, I posted over here today.  It is my job to keep you from doing any work or housework.  You are welcome.

So you’re saying maybe Carson doesn’t have much of a sense of humor? And since you posted Pioneer Woman’s picture, I’ve read her almost everyday. And has it really been 10 years since one of the best weddings and receptions ever?! You should post a picture of your wedding party.

I love you thought Carson Cressley was a woman. He is more feminine that I am, for sure!
Props to you for scaring him, that’s pretty fabulous. Come on, man, get a sense of humor!

There are lots of apps to upload your photos automatically, to where you don’t even have to plug in your phone. :D

And I totally think Ree is way cooler than Carson.

I don’t want diamond rings either. Just swanky technology. Amen.

It’s okay that your brain is all over the place. I think it’s supposed to be!

LOL You totally crack me up. I can just see that scene going down in the elevator. I would have fallen to the floor in laughter had I been there.

are you are too much! =)

that sounds like the most romantic, best gift ever. i’m all about peonies instead of red roses…caramels over a box of chocolates….macbooks over diamonds.

matt bought me the cutest pair of flip flops one year for valentines day & i seriously knew i would love him forever. not because he had to “buy” my love, but because he KNEW me. {i’m certain brian would do the same.} =)
