You Capture. Photographer’s choice.
ByI loves me some photographer’s choice. I am most excited about your results this week.
I have a lot of pictures to show this week, a wide variety. Some of them I am actually really, really nervous about because they are pictures I took of me. I KNOW! I stood in the mirror and made myself take pictures of me. (the horror, I am so serious.) I’m showing you not because I think I look all stunning, because, um…THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE, I’m showing you to encourage you to get in front of the camera instead of behind it every once in awhile. Your children, their children and their children will thank you. I promise.
And yes, this will be a challenge coming up. I can promise you that.
Anyway, here are my picks for this week.
Let me get the ones of me out of the way. I am seriously CRINGING that I am doing this. I may lose sleep over this decision.

WHOA. THAT IS LARGE.
And I like this one because, well, THERE IS NO BIG FACE FOR YOU TO LOOK AT. And of course it shows my favorite jewelry.

We’ve been spending a ton of time at my Mom’s house since my whole family is in town, these were taken there:

And this is my niece. She has the softest voice and the best facial expressions and her hair is so wonderfully curly. She and I are best friends.

And then I had a photo shoot this past week and here is one of my favorite shots:

That’s it from me, man!
Now it’s your turn.
BUT FIRST, CHECK THESE ‘RULES’ OUT, K?
1. You can join in on this challenge at any time! We welcome & love new participants.
2. Please make sure you are linking directly to your specific You Capture post in Mr. Linky (and not just your site, for instructions, go here) and please make sure you are linking back to this challenge in your post. If you don’t abide by this, your link will be removed. (I know, I’m so mean.)
3. Try your hardest not to reuse a picture from your archives, the goal of You Capture is to get you moving with your camera, get creative! Challenge yourself!
4. Do your best to visit the other participants’ site – everyone loves the traffic, the comments and the feedback (not just you!)
5. And finally, post as many pictures as you want on your post.

There are two choices for next week. You can do one or the other, or both. It’s up to you.
Independence Day & food.
I hope my friends in the United States have a wonderful and safe Fourth of July. Wishing you so much fun as your celebrate the freedom of our great country!

Those shots of you are just lovely. And they are all beautiful. Love them.
You are so beautiful, Beth. Inside and out. I love the self portraits so much.
Your neice is adorable. Growing so much. Her brown eyes make me melt just a little and I want to run my fingers through that hair. Of course she’s wonderful, she’s related to you, and her dad is hot. Sorry, had to say it
Great captures this week. Thanks for inspiring me. Always.
Beth, you are stunning. Great job.
Beth, you are beautiful; although, I know how you feel about pictures of yourself) I love the pictures of your favorite jewelry.
What beautiful pictures!
I’d love to join in the challenge, but I take pictures like someone’s grandma, chopping off heads and taking unidentifiable shots that I might try to pass off as ‘artsy’, but everyone knows that I just can’t focus.
I love all your choices! The ones of you turned out great! It is soooo hard for me to get in front of the camera, it helps to have others with me though.
shut up…that picture is beautiful!! yes, the one of you. even WITH your head! =)
i do love that jewerly one….so pretty.
My, you gorgeous thing. LOVE the self-portrait– DREAD that upcoming challenge.
Also love your feet shot. I think that would make another great theme!
The shot of your favorite jewelry is stabbing my heart.
Hugs to you, lady.
These are awesome. I love your work. I think you are incredibly talented.
I think it’s safe to say we all shy away from being in front of the camera….it’s much more comfortable behind the camera. So you get points for bravery AND beauty. The self portraits are really truly beautiful.
And the picture of feet is, well, about as fantastic as a picture of feet could ever be! Absolutely precious!
You should take more pictures of yourself. You’re beautiful, and I love the second one.
I love the shot of the feet, too! I can’t wait to see more from that photo shoot.
You are lovely, and your niece just makes my heart melt!
Can I just say that you have such pretty lips? And I love your hair cut! You look great Beth! : )
I love the light coming in through the hydrangeas and yes, your niece is a doll! : )
You? Are beautiful! Those are awesome…
I’m on vacay next week so I think I’ll have to skip the challenge…
All of your shots are just beautiful–but I’m just adoring the last one!
Blessings!
You are beautiful and all these shots are great. That one of your niece is just precious. She’s a doll!
I love your photography.
Now, can your head fit through the door?
I think you are beautiful . . . you need to get in front of the camera more often!
Beth, you’re beautiful! And so is your photography!
I have to apologize…sometimes I’m a bit technologically challenged. I have no idea how this happens, but it’s happened more than once–I’ll go to enter my link in Mr. Linky on today’s challenge and somehow I jump down to past challenges and I get entered again there. Weird. Sorry!
your pictures are beautiful as always…love love love the lighting and no matter what you are a beautiful person inside and out.
Cute hair!
I love the picture with the sunlight that looks purple. That color is so unexpected and is my favorite. Good work as usual.
I happen to think you are gorgeous, btw…
You are beautiful.
Great pics this week!
Your pictures are so pretty. Love them! Your necklace is lovely.
OK, so I’m participating in You Capture now.
Sorry I have been so lazy, I suck.
Look at pretty you! And I love the way you’re holding your hands all model-like in the second shot. Where’d you learn to do that?
awesome…love the picture of the feet..especially the toe with the bandaid..how fitting for a child!!! more than any of the pictures..which by the way, you look absolutely beautiful!!…I LOVE the second picture…when I look at this picture, I feel like I am totally looking into your heart!! YOU, woman, are a phenomenal photographer…thank you for sharing and reminding me to include myself every so often!!!
xoxoxo
Your line about how your children would thank you for taking some pictures really struck a cord with me- I went through my camera not so long ago and there were over 300 pics on the memory card (I know, I’m lazy…)and there were exactly SIX pictures with me in them. Six. And I looked awful in all but one.
I’m going to try and fix this, but it would be a lot easier if I looked like you!!! Your pics are beautiful!
I’m back! I’d like to think I was missed a little bit! I missed being here!
I love, love, LOVE your shots this week! The sun flare is awesome, the back lighting on the hydrangea is beautiful, and the shots of you are gorgeous!
Is your necklace from Helen Ficalora? I have a similar necklace with my boys’ initials on it. I love it!
I love that second shot of you. I’m not sure what I love most- your hand with the wedding ring, the necklace with the two J’s, or YOUR CHEST. Just kidding : ).
You give me butterflies in those pictures.
My first entry for You Capture…exciting! I’m jealous of your gift Beth…I wish I could be that good!
You are just beautiful! Seriously. Your niece is pretty darn sweet too.
Love your blog title.
First visit here. I have so many tabs open I forgot where I found you, but I think it might have been SITS? Who knows.
Love the photos… Positive Vibes. You look fabulous.
I love all your captures. You are SO talented. I wish I was that good!!
Love your pictures Beth. As usual, you got my mind turning.
Love the one of your necklace. Beautiful!
That pic with the bare feet, shoes thrown to the side without a care…that is summer! Love it.
