We all had first day jitters, Anna and I more than Brian and Noah. (which is so not surprising.)
They woke up right on time and ate a great breakfast, spirits were high. They were ready 20 minutes early.
I can’t believe how old they seemed to me today, it was amazing and heartbreaking. But they’re so happy and that is not heartbreaking, it’s beautiful.
Just like them. Just like our life.

I’ve got my very first day ever with my oldest next week. I don’t even know how we’ll both react to it, but one things for sure… I’ll take lots of pictures.
I love the expressions on your children’s faces!
Nell
Your kids are such good sports with all the picture taking! Mine RUN in the opposite direction. So I have lots of shots of tops of heads and backs.
Related: Wear did you get your son’s shirt?? I love those colors!
I love Noah’s face in the last one! Is that a “Mom…enough pictures” or a “Wait…I have to go in there now” face?
So the big question… what are YOU doing today? weeping in the corner eating waffle cones?
My oldest starts kindergarten on the 9th… when did they get so big!
They look so happy on their first day. I hope it’s a good one and a great year to boot!!!
Today was our first day back as well! Yeehaw!!! =)
They look so happy on their first day. I hope they have a great first day and year to boot!
It’s our first day as well. Yeehaw!! =)
They look beautiful. I hope they have a great school year!
I love love LOVE Noah’s face in every picture. He is too darling.
Bloody Marys on the tree lawn?? Answer to Babs big question! In our neighborhood we all went to breakfast to celebrate!! Bloody Marys were for special occasions…. like the last of the litter going off to kindergarten!! Have a happy day!
great pictures and happy school day to your babies…
Love their names.
I just love these pictures so much. Both of them look very spiffy! I love Noah’s expression in the one by himself, I think it’s my favorite expression of his, but I think my favorite is the last one where you can tell they are just about to go into the school, the looks on their faces have changed and so has the way they are stading…they look slightly nervous but I know they are having a blast today. I bet they were excited to eat lunch at school for the first time!!!
These are great shots! What brave little faces. Congrats on the first day, Anna and Noah! We’ll be right there in 13 days with my oldest-I tear up just thinking about it!
Every time you post a photo of Noah making the face he has in the second photo, I try and punch the computer screen.
Your geese are simply amazing! I love their expressions. Happy first day of school!
Noah’s expressions are just cracking me up.
I am dreading my kiddos first day of school. In four years. Dreading! Maybe by then I’ll be all tired out and look forward to it.
the pictures are simply priceless! Glad you went to their real names on the blog. I’ve seriously considered it myself but can’t make up my mind to take the plunge.
That’s so touching!
Oh wow! My baby is almost 5 months…I can’t imagine this day. I’m sure it’ll be here before I know it.
Oh how sweet! My youngest goes to college tomorrow and it is bittersweet. Enjoy!
Awwww….look how sweet they look! My oldest starts her second year of preschool on Tuesday. Where does the time go?

Oh, they are so sweet! The look on your son’s face is priceless! I’m glad you survived the first day.
(Zoe has that exact same outfit, I wish it was in my size.)
This makes me wish my kiddo didn’t have to wear a uniform! I love their outfits, so bright and fun! Hope your little man is feeling better (per your earlier tweet…)
Sweethearts. Happy first day of school. I hope it was wonderful and all those jitters are things of the past!
WHEN did they get so big? Punch them right now for me. OMG. Noah has the best, best, best facial expressions. I’m pretty sure that he and Mia will get married one day. They’ll have the funniest happiest marriage ever with all those hilarious facial expressions.
I love you, so much!

These are great pics, Beth! I hope their first day was fabulous!!

My heart is aching just thinking of it and I still have a few years before that day arrives…
