Up North
ByI just kissed my kids goodbye as Brian drove them to school. I won’t see them again until Friday because I’m going on a trip to Minneapolis in a few hours.
General Mills is hosting a group of bloggers for a few days. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go but they were all like “it’s called an Eat & Greet” and I said “like eat as in I can eat?”
“Yes.”
“and the greet part, I can do that with cereal in my mouth, yes?”
“uhhh….sure, actually, I think there was a mistake, you can’t come.”
No, seriously, I’m slightly infatuated with the whole Fiber One line of foods where they make food that makes you poop and it still tastes good. Also, I’ve never been to Minneapolis and also, I get to travel with Stephanie and Ivy, so it’s a WIN WIN WIN. Except not so much a win for Stephanie on the way home because of the whole FIBER ONE smorgasbord I’ll be partaking in.
Enough about that. (sorry, Stephanie.)
We still have not found a van but I decided that I’m done with it and told Brian he could buy one while I’m away.
I’m serious.
I did.
If you know me, your jaw is on the floor. PICK IT UP. I’m just so sick of LOOOOOKING and figure that Brian is a smart guy and if there is ever anything wrong with it I can be like “really? This was the best car out there?”
I’m kidding.
But I’m not.
Honestly, we have decided on THE TYPE OF VEHICLE, we just have to find it and we have found plenty, it will just include lots of driving (for Brian) and haggling. God, I hate haggling.
So, wish us luck. or wish Brian luck. Whatever.

Have fun on your trip to Minneapolis!
Good luck to your hubby on the van search!
thats so cool, how could anyone turn down an eat & greet? eating and talking are a girls favorite thing right?? Have a great time letting your gas go…I mean letting yourself go!! haha!
Please don’t have too much Fiber One before I see you.
I can make no guarantees, Heather. But I’ll do my best. If it’s real bad, I’ll sit at the next table.
Have fun!
Have a safe trip up here! I hope you have a great time!!
The twin cites rock…make sure you get to see some of St Paul while you’re there, the character of that city is great!
have a great time! I love me so cereal with really cold milk! Fiber-smiber.
oh my word, sorry steph.
good luck with that brian.
unbelief in phones, hate of haggling….we are SUCH a pair. =)
matt was just versing me last night in haggling. saying all: i’m going to a foreign country and haggling is expected. i’m not screwing them, i’m being smart…blah, blah.
hate.it.
Be sure to drink plenty of water with all of that fiber.
Pick up a box of those Fiber One Pop Tarts for me. My kids love those!

I feel like somehow the outcome of Brian car shopping will involve some sort of hilarity. And hopefully a good van for you, but also hilarity.
I hate haggling, too. It makes me feel rude!
Sorry, for repeat comments. My computer is so sensitive this morning.
yipee! I too am a fiber one fan (actually so is my 2 1/2 year old boy!) I hope you have a great time in our fun state – now you would have to drive six hours north to see me, but still have fun in minn-E-sota. Ask for some hotdish and lefse and you’ll fit right in!
An “eat and greet” sounds right up my alley. And I love me some cereal. Your Fiber One comments were cracking me up. This whole post just made me smile. Good Luck to Brian…seriously, I think he needs it. Have a great time!
LOL. Poor Brian! Glad you decided against the fire van at least. Phew. Enjoy your trip up North.
i SERIOUSLY love the fiber one products too…they are tasty!
enjoy your trip and time with Step/Ivy.
So wish I wouldn’t have had to decline this one so I could have hung out with you & Steph. But do I need to go to another state to do this? SERIOUSLY! Playgroup when you get back. Safe travels, Beth!!
You are SO FUNNY. I love that you have a category called “stupid crap.”
let me know if you need a list of “must sees” while you are here!
or just call …
Good Luck to both of you! Have fun as well!
Mmm. Fiber One. I’m jealous. Food that makes you poop is a good thing!
Have a good time, and hopefully Brian will be able to find a gem that doesn’t have other people’s leftover stuff in it!
I am so jealous that you are going to the land of awesome (aka Fiber One), with Steph AND Ivy, and visiting Heather and Jennifer. Can General Mills be any awesomer? You lucky duck you.
Here’s to hopin’ Brian finds you something while you’re away!! *hugs* Safe travels!!
Wow!! I live just outside the cities (thats what locals call the TWIN CITIES of St. Paul and Minneapolis, but I am sure you knew that) Maybe I will see you!
Anywho…just an FYI, I am giving away $100 on my blog… if you are interested in winning just stop by.
Blessings-
Amanda
I hope he finds a van while you are gone so you don’t have to deal with it anymore. Have fun!! Hug those ladies for me!
You’re going to love the Cities!
I heart Fiber One. As a mom of 2 boys that suffer from chronic constipation, I’m a huge fan! They call them, the ones that make you go.
Blessings,
Carolynn
