Omission
ByOkay, so yes, I’ve been on vacation and yes, I had a headache the other day but I haven’t mentioned that I’ve been sick since Saturday with a cold and weird wheezing and fatigue. oooooh, the fatigue.
Tomorrow morning I have an appointment with my nurse at my OB’s office, I’ll let her know of my illness because I’m getting tired of chewing with my mouth open so I can breathe and wincing when I swallow because it hurts.
And then to top it all off, I’ve been going NON-STOP without a break. But I’ve decided that for the rest of the day, I’m going to sit and do nothing except relax and maybe then I’ll start to feel better. So, while I’m sitting, I’ll be on my computer just waiting to hear from you so tell me what you are up to or what your favorite thing about fall is. Do you like soup? What kind? Candles? What flavor? Just tell me anything about you. I’m a good listener. I promise.
And if you’ve never left a comment…now is a great time to leave your first. I LOVE finding out whose reading.

anything, huh?
today is my birthday, i’m 27.
i love soup…..white chicken chili and italian wedding are my favorite.
LOVE fall, the days that are sunny even though the sky is filled with clouds and the air is crisp…..
like candles too. not too picky about the scent, anything appley, cinnamony or pumpkiny will do.
also love your blog, i’m a new reader. keep up the good work!
I love Yankee candles – I’m most happiest at home when I have one or two going.
I also love getting pedicures – and I’m in desperate need of one. Hopefully, I’ll get one tomorrow while the kids are in school.
My son just told me he’s becoming my Wii Fit coach starting tomorrow. Goodness knows I need to start exercising…
It still makes me happy everytime you write about being pregnant!
Hope you feel better soon!!!
I’m with Susan, I love Yankee candles (especially the fragrance Autumn Leaves) and pedicures. I really enjoy fall. On my way to work this morning I was thinking about the fact that I always fall in love in the fall, always.
Anything about me….well since you mentioned candles….I used to work at Yankee Candle – two Christmas seasons, and one of those years I worked into the spring. I took full advantage of the discount so now we have boxes of candles in our house. I currently have Milk & Cookies burning. And my husband knows several of the candles by their names (like Hazelnut Cuffee, and Harvest.) As long as I burn the candles he most enjoys, he doesn’t get as upset at the number of candles in the home
Hope you’re feeling better soon!!
I like fall because I live in FL and it’s not ungodly hot. But today it was in the 70s and I needed a hoodie, soooooooooo. I guess that means I’m a wimp!
Oh but I do love soup – we eat it year round, not just in winter! My favorite all time favorite yummy favorite (did I mention it was my favorite!?) is Brunswick Stew!!
OK. OK…I’m picturing you sitting by your computer just waiting for comments to come in to brighten your day and I feel compelled,now, to quit lurking and to comment. Especially since you asked about fall. Because I’m CRAZY about fall. The soup, yes, absolutely…minestrone and butternut squash, thank you very much. And candles? I love candles…I have an entire shelf of scented candles that I only use sparingly now that I know they aren’t good for cockatiels and I feel guilty using them with one in the house. The colors, the crisp air–I love it all. But my favorite thing has to be the pumpkins. I have 2 now but I’ll likely have 20 before the season is over.
So there you have it–I broke my silence a full 12 hours early because I was going to make my debut here tomorrow with a You Capture post–because (you guessed it) I couldn’t resist sharing fall pictures with my fellow bloggers! Stop by if you get a chance and feel better!
I love the smell of wood stoves burning, the chill in the air, and hot apple cider in a mug. Yum! Hope you get back to feeling better soon.
i miss you when you’re gone.
and you and that wonderful amazing beautiful person inside of you are on my daily prayer list.
xo
Every time I come to your website, I look at the header and think… “hey, me too.” I have a huge pile of clean clothes sitting on my bed right this minute. At least they are clean.
I love the Autumn Leaves candle, too! Does anyone remember the Burning Leaves one that Yankee had out years ago? Yum… Here in Arizona we have.. burning cactus. That’s about as smelly as it gets.
Hope you feel better soon!
Sorry you are under the weather. Hopefully, it will pass soon!
I love soup and Thai coconut chicken is my current favorite. So good!
One reason I love fall is that our electric bill goes down significantly. We live in Hotlanta where air conditioning is a must for most of the year. The money we save, come fall, I put towards Christmas gifts or coconut chicken soup! Haha…
Another reason I love fall is — oh this is as shallow as a puddle — I love fall for the new fall line-up on TV! There, I said it!
Destiny
i LOVE that you say candles have flavors. i SO say that too!
Ah soup, I love homemade soup in fall. Nothing beats chicken noodle (with Ream’s frozen noodles, of course) and my Aunt’s white chicken chili.
Candles…I’d have to say my Yankee Candle in Harvest burns almost nonstop this time of year.
Is pregnancy treating you better? I’m 11 weeks and can’t wait to be done throwing up! It was between 12 and 13 weeks that I felt normal with my first two. So I’m semi optismistic about this one
I love fall! the color of the sky, the colorful leaves, pumpkins, bonfires, sweaters, all kinds of soups, apple crisp…
I’m too tired to get really creative with a comment for you, but I will tell you that one of my favorite things about fall is chili. Oooooh, my mouth is watering thinking about it! And not to toot my own horn, but I make some pretty good chili!
Hope you’re feeling better soon!
Longtime reader, first-time commenter.
I love going to the pumpkin patch with my kids, and all of the other fun activities fall brings! I also love the smell of fall. I love all the seasons, but fall is my favorite!
Oh no! I hope you get lots of rest and feel better soon! I love your blog, even though I’m bad about commenting here. I dunno why…maybe I feel intimidated that what I have to say isn’t interesting because it’s been said already by all your other readers who know you better than I do? Anyway, I think positive thoughts in your direction all the time, even if I don’t say it.
The best thing I love about fall is when the air gets a crispness to it. I don’t know how to describe it exactly, but something changes in the air. It’s more…vibrant somehow.
Anyway…i LOVE soup. I love Thai coconut soup year round, but come fall, I’m all about the butternut squash soup (with dried cranberries and nutmeg to garnish) and my homemade Guinness stew. Yup. Stew with meat soaked for hours in beer. YUM. And my new favorite? Creamy tomato basil soup. Go figure, cuz I’ve never liked tomato soup. But I found a recipe that works and fell in love.
And I get excited about baking in the fall…and the warm smell of cinnamon floating from the kitchen.
I’m a bit sensitive to strong, heady scents in candles, even scents that I love in their natural form. But one of my favorites is Bergamot. Spicy, but not overwhelming.
Hope all goes well at your appointment tomorrow!
Hi Beth,
I think I may have commented once or twice, but I’m not sure – it seemed like it wasn’t working when I try to submit both of mine, and I got scared I was posting the same comment 10 times, so I stopped.
ANYWAY, I hope you’re feeling better!
I love soup! Especially tomato soup with grilled cheese
My favorite candle ever is Butterfly Flower from Bath and Body Works. I liked it so much that I bought the perfume in that scent. But, unfortunately, since we have the Butterfly Flower candle in our house, when I put that perfume on, my husband doesn’t even seem to notice haha. I just smell like our house! At least it smells good
You know that first night you can sit outside with a cozy, yummy sweater with a hot cup of tea? I LIVE for that. Oh, and Yankee makes a candle called Fall Wreath and when I light it, it makes me think it is a crisp fall afternoon and there is a football game to go to and friends to be with and good food to be consumed. Perfection.
You know that first night you can sit outside with a cozy, yummy sweater and have a hot cup of tea (ok, wine) and it just smells all fresh and perfect? I LIVE for that.
Unfortunately, I now live in Florida (was reared in Jersey). Boo to no seasons.
I do love Autumn but right now we’re heading into Spring. I’m in Australia and the weather is getting bloody hot in the day and is still cold at night. A month or so and it will be hot in the day and hot at night too. *sigh*
I don’t think I’ve commented before. I’ve been reading for a while and I’m not even sure how I ended up here but I’m enjoying it.
I love photography but I’m in withdrawal right now because my camera has been in the shop for 6 weeks. I’m really getting itchy to have it back in my hands.
I have a lot of chronic illnesses and it helps me deal with my day if I can find the pretty and capture it and share it with others.
homemade soup ~ my mother in law makes the BESTEST veggie soup!!! too bad I can not eat it anymore {the fructose malabsorbtion thingy}
I love fall for the cooler weather ~ I can open my windows and just sit and listen to the soft breezes through the house. everything seems cripser, cleaner and more beautiful!!!
Hope you feel better ~ the yucky crud seems to be making its way around everywhere.
(i know i’m posting this the day AFTER you asked about it, but punctuality isn’t one of my strong pointe!) fall is my favorite time of the year. you can finally slow down from the hectic days of summer and relax. we have an awesome front covered wraparound porch where i have a wicker loveseat and two rocking chairs with really comfy cushions and pillows (that i made….the pillows, not the cushions!). i love sitting out there in my big ole sweater, thick warm socks and comfy pants reading, smelling the fresh crisp michigan autumnal air and sipping something hot…..oh and the soup…..butternut squash and apple soup…..oh yum!!!!!
I’m sorry you aren’t feeling well and I hope that you feel better soon! You have been in my prayers daily along with your expecting sis…you guys look adorable by the way!
Happy Fall!!
I LOVE fall. I love spring too but I have to say that fall is my favorite. I love the crisp in the air and the colors on the trees. I love to hear the leaves crunch under my feet and throwing on jeans and a comfy sweater to run errands. I love making soups and chilli in the crock pot and coming home from work to a house that smells delicious and a dinner that’s ready to eat. I love pumpkin spice scented candles and air fresheners.
But what I love most about this fall in particular…I’m saying I do to the man of my dreams in 16 days and I absolutely could not be happier. Take care of yourself and of that little nugget growing in your belly
I love this time of year. My oldest son was born in October, and I always feel so sentimental when I think about what I was doing the days leading up to his birth. He will be 7 this month, and I still feel as in love with him as the day he was born. I always look forward to the first frost because my allergies are finally gone for the season!
Well, you KNOW I’m not a first time commenter. I love fall…as long as it doesn’t get too cold like it did here yesterday. It was 85 on Tuesday and 45 yesterday. Not nice.
Anyway, I love making tomato soups, pumpkin bread, and having pumpkin spice or berry spice candles going. I love love fall.
Hi
I may have commented once or twice but usually just read. I love your posts and I am so happy for you that you are pregnant!
I love fall too! Some of my favorite things are, chili, pumpkins and Halloween. I love decorating for Halloween and looking at adorable costumes for the kiddies.
Feel better soon, sit back have a nap when you can.
Soup? Veggie beef is on the top of my list but then I take a can of mushroom pieces and ptu that in too. I can’t do this when Hubbie ishome though because he’s allergic to mushrooms.
The Candles? Gardenia or cinnamon. My favorite thing about fall? is the cool but not cold days and the colors!
I hope you feel better.
I love fall. That is actually one of the reasons why we wanted to move back up north…we missed having seasons. My in-laws are coming in a week and we are taking the kids apple picking and pumpkin picking.
Enjoy your rest!
Christina
Ok…Fall…love it. I like that it cools off, gives us a crispness in the air in Northern Indiana. I love candles. I’m with the other gals, Yankee Candles are my favorite. We like anything that smells like food — cookies, hot chocolate, etc. I love sitting in our backyard around the campfire pit with friends talking and laughing well past dark. I love getting my sweatshirts and sweaters out of storage and wearing them. Oh, and I like Chili! We’re having it this weekend as a matter of fact. I can’t wait!
I am listening to my son make up reasons why he cannot finish his dinner. So far he has come up with, “I’m tired”, “I’m crying”, and “Want chips.” He’ll be 22 months old later this week. He has refused to eat most everything today. Now he’s asking to “play toys” and “play crayons”. Hope you’re feeling better soon!!!
Hi. I haven’t commented before. I found your blog a few weeks ago. I like your “You Capture thing” (that I have yet to participate in. Ahem). My favorite thing about fall is the colorful leaves, but where I live now, we don’t get colorful leaves in the “official” fall time for the rest of the country. We get ours ‘way late. We’re still dealing with summer heat, unfortunately. But that’s my favorite thing because I grew up in MI. And I miss the fall colors!
Oh, and I like soup, too! And baked apples! Yum!
I love candles. I had a very serious addiction to Partylite candles last year, and my cabinet has just about any seasonal scent you can think of. Cookies? Check. Ocean breeze? Check. Fall? yep. My favorites? Gardenia, soft cotton and the scent of my kids’ heads straight from the bath. If only the candles came in THAT smell.
I love that the weather can change so quickly for Fall. It can be chilly one moment, and the sun will come out. It makes me feel like Fall is a girl, just like me, who isn’t sure what to wear from her closet and just wants to keep trying it all on.
Yes, I am super indecisive. I go through about 4-5 outfits on Sunday morning to decide waht to wear for church. I would love to have less, but then what would I do before church??
That’s why I need to know what we are having when we have kids. I can’t decide on a name super fast, so if I had to decide for both boy AND girl, it would be a nightmare and grounds for annulment for my husband.
I am praying for you, hoping to hear more good news and see more belly shots. I wish you were close to me so I could have you take pictures of my cute kids. Coming to VA anytime soon???
I *love* the fresh linen scent from White Barn. Soft and subtle, yet yummy enough to make your house smell lovely. PS: did you find out anything helpful at the OB? Help you’re well again soon
I love the smell of fall. The acrid odour of wood smoke coupled with the tangy cold in the mornings. The colour of the leaves. The sound of the leaves dropping off the trees. The burst of activity as everything starts up again after a summer hiatus.

Favorite things about fall?
* Cooler weather.
* Sweaters.
* Boots.
* Caramel Apple Cider.
* Pumpkin Pie.
* Spending all day outdoors.
* Long walks in the late afternoon.
Hope you’re feeling better! I love almost everything about fall. Lately though Ive been on a baking binge (mostly chocolate oatmeal bars soooooo good) And I used to hate candles but im slowly getting on the bandwagon. Only really because I found some super cute autumn votive holders and I got pumpkin spice tea lights to put in them. they make me get excited for Thanksgiving.
