She’s one
ByI know many of you have been reading my blog for a long time, do you remember when Ivy was born? (Stephanie from Adventures in Babywearing, her daughter.)
That was one year ago today. My mind is blown that this year has gone by so quickly.
This afternoon, Stephanie, Erin, Sarah and I met to celebrate Ivy by going to a bakery that specializes in BEAUTIFUL AND DELICIOUS CUPCAKES.
Ivy and I have such a fun relationship, we make mad faces at each other and we even yell at each other, but today, it was different, she was just a sweet little girl who only wanted to be sweet to me and everyone around. Of course, I was sweet back to her, despite trying to make her make a mad face at me. Her Mom is unbelievably sweet, so this makes total sense.
I was excited to go and take pictures of our sweet treats, but we quickly learned that this bakery will only allow photos if a person is in the shot. Because you know, it would suck if I came here and showed you their amazing desserts and talked about what a cool place this was and everyone went there.
*sigh* I’m not bitter or anything.
But I took a picture of the sweetest thing in the entire shop.
Ivy LaRue.
And then I took a picture of Erin’s chocolate lava cupcake, which was served warm, by the way.
Everything was delicious. We are maybe thinking about very seriously probably definitely considering meeting their once a week. You know, to strengthen our friendship.
Wanna tell us how you blurred everything but the main subject or is that such common information that only I dont know how to do it? Is it your lens??? Help me I wanna do that!

I’m guessing she has a high aperture. Which is actually a small number in the aperture setting (I think that’s how it goes…).

How do we not have a cupcake shop here?! I would open one except the thought of running another business makes me want to jump off a bridge and I can’t bake for shizz.

great photos. I hate when places won’t even allow you to snap a picture of what you’re eating! It’s crazy. I suppose there is always the fear that someone will copy you, but… Anyway. I have never had a warmed chocolate lava cupcake. MUST. FIND. ONE. STRAIGHTAWAY!
Oh man, you are making me wish I lived up North, closer to you guys! I want one of those cupcakes! I agree; you guys need to go there weekly and somehow take me with you…haha!
