Oh, sweet happiness. I hope you all had a wonderful week capturing something as wonderful as HAPPINESS. I may as well have given you the challenge to eat cupcakes all day and everyday because capturing happiness is wonderful and joyous. Just like eating cupcakes.
Last week we had a record number of participants for the challenge which is awesome! I love to watch these numbers grow knowing that with each number is a new person getting out their camera and capturing LIFE!
Welcome newcomers! And hello old friends!
Here are my shots.
Of course, my beloveds, my kids.

They ARE happiness and they bring us so much happiness. SO MUCH.
I love the color orange right now and I love flowers, so this flower…filled me with happiness. I’m seriously considering ordering it as a 14×14 canvas gallery wrap and placing it above my fireplace. What a reminder of life and beauty that would be every time I looked at it! (of course, I will be toning down the orange a notch because there is such a thing as TOO MUCH ORANGE.)

This weekend I got to capture the epitome of happiness as I did a photo shoot with Crooked Eyebrow at 38 weeks into her pregnancy. This pregnancy that she has wanted for years, this baby is loved.

Of course, I should be showing you pictures from my ultrasound on Monday because OHMYGOD that is happiness but ME NO HOW TO WORK SCANNER.
Now it’s your turn to share!
Da rules! Da rules!
1. You can join in on this challenge at any time! We welcome & love new participants.
2. ONLY SIGN MR. LINKY IF YOU ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE ACTUAL CHALLENGE.
3. Please make sure you are linking directly to your specific You Capture post in Mr. Linky (and not just your site, for instructions, go here) and please make sure you are linking back to this challenge in your post. If you don’t abide by this, your link will be removed. (I know, I’m so mean.)
4. Try your hardest not to reuse a picture from your archives, the goal of You Capture is to get you moving with your camera, get creative! Challenge yourself!
5. Do your best to visit the other participants’ site – everyone loves the traffic, the comments and the feedback (not just you!)
6. And finally, post as many pictures as you want on your post.
I will be deleting links for those that aren’t complying, which is annoying because deleting links is annoying.

The feeling of Fall.
I realize that most of us aren’t quite experiencing the leaves changing or the obvious, visible signs of fall right now that nature has to offer, so I want you to capture THE FEELING of fall. Apple pies, candles burning, foggy mornings…it’s up to you. There are no wrong answers! (Another “fall” challenge is forthcoming!)
Happy, Happy Capturing!

Can you challenge us to eat cupcakes all day long? Because I would own that challenge.
I love your shots. I think you should definitely get that orange flower on canvas.
I totally missed an opportunity to call double FIRST!!!111!!! glory.
Love this challenge! Awesome shots, I especially love the flower…flowers always bring happiness
I love these You Capture challenges! Beth, thanks for hosting them and for welcoming this (relative) new comer to the par-tay.
And next week’s challenge? Excellent. Choice.
Even though orange totally doesn’t go with my decorating scheme (which isn’t much of a scheme at all), I would love that orange flower above my mantle! Great shots, as always!
Great, great photos! I love the orange flower!!
like you , my children bring me more happiness than I could ever imagine
I don’t think you can ever have too many Happiness captures
Love, love, love the orange flower. I wouldn’t tone it done one bit…
. I am surprised you didn’t add the glowing picture of you from yesterday. You were overflowing with happiness in that one!
Can’t wait to see your ultrasound photos. Learn how to scan your photos quick!
Toni
Okay, I don’t think I would win the challenge to eat cupcakes all day. It kind of turns my stomach thinking about it. So I’m glad it’s photo’s and not cupcakes. Sorry cupcakes.
Anyway, I LOVE your photos. And I love pics of flowers… and that one IS gorgeous. Makes me… um… HAPPY!
This is my first time capturing with you. My pic is actually quite an accomplishment for me.. with no editing I actually got my wee one sleeping with GREAT light.. and NO FLASH
Thanks for letting me join!
You’re kids smiles make me smile everytime…but particularly Noah’s. He’s what I picture in my head when I think of Santa as a little kid.
I fully intended to participate this week after I saw the challenge on Heather of EO’s blog. I was very excited, BUT my camera was stolen on Tuesday so I was not able to take the pictures I’d planned. Maybe I’ll do next week even without my beloved dslr.
Your post loads but Mr. Linky will not. I have refreshed a million times, but still, he will not appear for me- BOO. Here is my capture…….http://www.ishouldbefoldinglaundry.com/2009/09/you-capture-happiness.html
BTW, could your pictures be any prettier? I think I just might have to order that orange flower as a canvas picture from your “shop”!
Am I the only one having trouble pulling up Mr Linky? It is beyond frustuating. I can’t link and I can’t see everyone else links. Here is mine:

Beth, I love the orange flower and would consider buying a canvas print of it to hang in my house.
I’m glad I stumbled onto your site, because I love participating in photo challenges! This is my first week, but it won’t be my last. I’m already thinking about how to capture the feelings of fall!
Beautiful shots, Beth!
Is that a zinnia? I love that flower shot so much. Orange is a favorite around here, too. I have some great shots of orange poppies from the spring/summer, but I love love love that shot you have up in today’s post.
All of these are beautiful and exude happiness. Thanks for another great challenge.
Such a thing as too much orange?!
NEVER!
My ENTIRE living room is painted orange. “Accent Wall” is not in my vocabulary
It’s different and I couldn’t be happier with it
(despite my initial cardiac arrest of sweeping bold orange over bland white…)
Love the photos!
Your babies are Beautiful! … and I do love me some ORANGE! =) The orange flower is beautiful!
What Happy looking pictures. I love that little grin on your daughter.
Your happy brings tears to my eyes. What a blessing our little ones are!!! I’m sorry you can’t get your scanner to work – can’t wait to see those pictures!
I have been visiting this blog for a long time but this is my first time participating in You Capture! Had so much fun! Especially since I was so happy to be drinking a Wild Pumpkin from Caribou. Perfect capture!
Great shots! I like that flower picture and don’t think it’s “too much” orange, but that’s just me
You have got some of the cutest kids on the planet. Their smiles are infectious. And I can just imagine their little personalities. They shine through the camera and you capture them beautifully.
love love love the orange! what a perfect picture. thanks for the challenge.
Beth-
PS: Congrats and prayers for baby!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the flower photo! I wouldn’t even tone down the orange unless the color is absolutely egregious in your living room. Where I live, that burst of orange would be such a blessing come about February when everything is gray! BTW, I’m new to your site and love it! Just linked to you
Oh yes, these all EXUDE full-on Happiness!!! So full of life and simply beautiful, all three of them…
Wowee!!! All of those pics are outstanding and amazing and wonderful!! Pure happiness!
And I hit “tab” and “enter” in about 2 seconds flat without realizing that it went alllll the way up to Mr. Linky – I’m so sorry for posting a link twice!!! Are you going to ban me for life!?!?!
Great shots! Thanks for the fun. C’mon over to THe IE Mommy and see my shots.
Great happiness shots this week! What fun getting to do a maternity shoot, they turned out great!! Can’t wait until you get that scanner working.
Beautiful shots, as always! I’m definitely joining back in next week.
Thanks for inspiring us with your happiness photos and challenging us weekly to use our cameras. I love the orange flower and would not tone it down at all. BTW I’m sorry I was trigger happy when posting, please delete entry #63.
great shots Beth! Love the Flower-although I totally understand about the orange. I will be checking out the links tomorrow. And Fall shots…woohoo, quite possibly my favorite time of year!
Beautiful pictures. It makes me happy that you do this weekly carnival…is this called a carnival? Anyway, it helps me keep my camera out more often, and step outside of my comfort zone. Have a wonderful weekend away!
Thanks for another great challenge! And the flower is great… and the kids… and I just love your maternity shots. I begged my pregnant sister to let me “shoot” her and her hubby last week for this challenge as well.
Thanks again!
I keep thinking I will join in this challenge (I enjoy it so) but the weeks keep rolling ’round and I’m always too late. Ah, well.
Regarding your ultrasound image: you don’t have to scan it in, just take a photo of it.
Loved this challenge! I had so many happy shots. Lookin forward to “fall”
I love your shots! Especially the flower. Please forgive my dorkiness, I had two of your posts up in my browser and accidentally posted my You Capture post for Fall here – please delete my Mr. Linky entry (I reposted under the fall entry).
thanks!
