Tiny Prints {a giveaway}

November 30th, 2009

(Comments are closed…winners will be announced soon!)

Do you love sending and receiving Christmas cards as much as I do?  If you do, then I have a treat for you!

This morning I finally placed my order for my Christmas cards from Tiny Prints today, I’m so excited because their selection is amazing and the quality of their product is BEAUTIFUL so the process of choosing and ordering a card of our very own makes me very, very happy.

Just this year, I received a birth announcement from both Erin and Crooked Eyebrow that were printed by Tiny Prints and I can’t even bear to take them off of my refrigerator, they are so beautiful.  (doesn’t help the cause that their babies ARE SO CUTE.)  Anyway, it’s all good stuff.  All of it.

This is why I am so excited to be able to give away a $50 gift certificate to TWO lucky readers just in time to order your Christmas cards.

And if you’ve already ordered your Christmas cards from Tiny Prints this year, that’s okay, you can enter, too, and get $50 back from your purchase!

Winning is simple:

First, visit the Tiny Prints Holiday card section and pick out your favorite card, come back and share the link with me in the comments section.  (don’t worry, you’re not obligated to get that card if you win…)  That’s the first way to win…

Second, write about this giveaway on your blog and come back here and leave the link to your post in the comments.

Third, Tweet or Facebook about this giveaway (OR BOTH!) and leave a comment with those links!

That’s FOUR ways you to win.  So, get busy…AND GOOD LUCK!  (please leave separate comments for each entry…)

Winners will be chosen at random on Thursday, December 5th at 8:00 pm CST.

Good luck & Happy Holidays!

33 & 22

November 29th, 2009

Today, my husband turned thirty-three.

We had a pretty calm day here: church, donuts, grocery shopping, lunch, nap, putting up a Christmas tree, bread making, dinner, birthday cake and then this photo.   A boy with ketchup on his face, a girl who doesn’t feel well and the best husband anyone could ever, ever, ever ask for.

I’m not sure why he chose to place a ring on MY finger, but my God, I’m so glad he did.

Because then we also have this:

22 weeks

Birthdays or not, everyday is a good day.

Some days just include cake.

You Capture – Food.

November 25th, 2009

Oh food, sweet, beautiful , delicious, usually fattening, glorious food.

I didn’t realize how much I wrote about and tweet about food until this past week and man, I really do like food, don’t I?  But how can I not?  It’s SO DELICIOUS.

On the photography front, I have been working very hard over the past year on not just photographing food but using the natural light in my kitchen (even at night time) which has not been easy.  I’m still working on it but I feel like I’m getting better.

I’ve been baking like crazy this past week, I’ve made 19 trays of cinnamon rolls, peanut butter bars and pumpkin cheesecake, just since Friday…much, much, more tomorrow.

The sweet ingredients…

sugar

oh yeah, baby.

mmmmm

And the pumpkin cheesecake before it heads into the oven, which is where it’s at this very minute!
