I took my family on our own photo shoot. I’ve been doing many shoots for families recently with the upcoming Holidays and felt very strongly that I should try to do the same for my little family.
It was fun. It was hard. It was frustrating. It was worth it. But honestly, there is not a single shot of our entire family that I love or even really like, which is understandable considering a remote was in charge of the shots, but I can’t complain.
Especially since Anna set up this first shot which makes me want to wallpaper it to my walls.

I can’t get over how handsome Brian is.

How funny, though, that this shot is my favorite of the whole bunch.

I love my family.
I love my life.
and I love that I’m not afraid to admit it.

These are gorgeous photos, Beth. The lighting – gah! I love it. That first one with their arms around each other is killing me. Darling.
these are gorgeous and so perfectly represent your family. i love your you and your life, too.
I personally love all of these, but I think it’s normal to be hardest on yourself, especially when you had to rely on a remote to snap many of the shots. I really like the last one because you can see Anna’s boots and Noah has a ridiculously cute (read: punchable) look on his face.
Love that last shot, too!
How sweet!
Endearing…I can just feel the LOVE oozing out of these shots!!! AWESOME.
You are a delight.
Aw, such beautiful pictures… i wish my kids were the same height for shots like those… I think she has a real future as a pose setter upper!
Holy camoly!! You’re carrying high! I call BOY!
The shots are great! I love that Anna set up the first one. Way to go, kiddo!
BEAUTIFUL shots.
Beautiful pictures – my fav is the one of Anna smiling and looking over her shoulder!
Great shoot. Both the first shot and the last shot are priceless.
Beth, those are just gorgeous! I wish you lived over here so you could take photos of my family
If you know and trust anyone in the Boston area let me know…
I cannot get over how much your daughter looks like you!
I love that you are not afraid to admit that you love your family because family is everything. I love your pictures and your family.
Beautiful beautiful beautiful. Nothing more needs to be said. =)
I don’t what more to say except…lovely, just lovely!
You have a beautiful family!
I think all of the pictures are amazing!! Anna is stunning, such a beautiful girl. I love the dress (or is it a shirt? I’m a little clothing novice). Where did you get it? It’s obvious you love your family and life in these pics….how could you not? And you look really great, too!
Awesome pics!! I think your having a girl and your sister a boy
I love the last one, too!
These are so lovely!! Great job!
You’ve got talent, my friend. Those are gorgeous photos.
(Do you hear all the time that your daughter looks like you? Or is that just me? I’m horrible at seeing that kind of thing, usually.)
So lovely! you have awesome talent
My favorite is the one of you and Anna together and they are all beautiful in their own way…
All of your photos are beautiful – I’m impressed with each and every one of them! I especially love the first one.
I wish you could come to Ohio and take our photos. You have a real talent…too cool!
I wish you could come to Ohio and take our photo. You have a real talent…too, too cool.
I struggle with our family photos. With Jeremy’s work schedule its hard-I took a couple the other day, but none of them are the ‘one’ Although he says that we can take more, hopefully the weather is nice enough next week as he has 5 days off in a row. I can hardly believe it.
Not afraid to admit it? girl, you should be REVELING in it! A beautiful family and a beautiful life. Wonderful shots!
Those are fantastic!
AWESOME!!!! I would so have you do our Family shots!!!!
I love the last one too, but my favorite is of you and your daughterl
Just something very special you both your eyes and expressions. That one is special!
How cute – I love what a grown-up little girl your daughter is, and I love the picture of you two & your unborn baby together!
Wow, Anna has a great sense of composition!
Your family is beautiful!
These are sweet photos and I think your are a fabulous photographer!
But I know what you mean about not being completely satisfied…I’m always that way about my own photos too and shooting with a remote can be so hard!
Beautiful! The first photo just melts my heart!
beautiful pics! I wish you would show us one, your most favorite of all your family! We understand that it was taken by an untimely camera on a timer! Just show us your least unfavorite!!
Those are LOVELY!!
Those are lovely!
Absolutely.
I want Anna’s boots.
Steph
What lovely pics!
Wow Beth – these are fantastic
Love the one of Anna looking back, and the first, and the last…and the ones in between!!
Brilliant!
Awe, these are so good! Your kids are absolutely adorable.
great shots…you are a lucky lady and so are they!!
Love these! Love the first one and the one of you and Anna, especially! Too cute!
These are just lovely photos, you all look so happy to be a family, that is very special. Thanks for sharing your very special family with us.
And I love this post. It’s filled with such love and happiness. The pictures are phenomenal. You must be too critical of yourself photographing your family. Should Anna be a model right away? Wow!
I know what you mean…sometimes it can be scary to admit because we are afraid it will be taken away. But it’s so important to live every moment, in that moment. Life is too short for fear. So glad you’re not being afraid
LOVE these. xoxo
I love them all! I need to get a family shot too, but man it’s hard with kids. Plus, it’s FREEZING outside here.
Shout it from the rooftops, baby, because your family rocks.
And it looks like Anna has already started down the creative path forged by her mama.
Your little girl is so stylish…and looks just like you!
I love them Beth! Anna really looks like you in the one of the two of you!
