You Capture – Sunrise/Sunset

So…what’s new with you? Nothing much here. Look, I’m sorry I picked such a crappy subject this past week, who knew the sun would be SO ELUSIVE. Even right now, the sky is dull and it’s raining and it’s looked this way now since well, Sunday, maybe?
DULLLLL.
But I’m annoyed because last week…the sun did come out! But I did not take out my camera because I AM A PROCRASTINATOR.
But I was busy while the sun was out…I was making cinnamon rolls!
And eating them!
(no pictures of that because of the sticky.)
And I took pictures of my sister who is 36 weeks pregnant!
and her kids!
And I went shopping!
And Look! It’s Stephanie and I!
(wondering if you guys are distracted, yet…)
What I’m trying to say is that this is the only picture I have of the sun and it’s shining on my morning coffee and well, it may not be exciting to you but coffee is awesome.
So, yeah. WHATEVER. Better luck next week.

Yes, this was a bit of a challenge for those of us who live in the midwest and are struggling to find sunshine some days! But I prevailed!

DAMN THOSE CINNAMON ROLLS!!
The sun didn’t want to come out and play much here either. I was afraid I was going to have to be all creative and stuff.
That cup of coffee looks especially good since I haven’t had any yet this morning.
My first thought when I saw sunsets for this week’s theme was “YAY!! I LOVE SUNSETS ANYWAY!!” because I fit in as many sunset photos as I can, even in non-”sunset” You Captures.
But I did get some very pretty shots the one night it looked really good.
I love your shots, and, hey, I’m easily distracted…
Love the distractions. I got stuck on the cinnamon rolls. Now I am afraid I am going to have to make some!

We haven’t had sun here, either. Recovering from a nor’easter and more impending rain. Gotta love fall!

Your pictures are inspiring. Sunrises and sunsets are some of my favorite things to photograph. With the shorter days though I miss the opportunity – because of breakfast prep, work, kids etc. But the skies are so pretty this time of year and I will make the effort to get out more and snap more pictures.
PS – If you have some extra cinnamon rolls – you can send them my way! Yum!
Cinnamon rolls look delicious! They would go great with my coffee! I have some pumpkin muffins but they aren’t quite the same! LOL

cinnamon rolls are a weakness of mine-and those look simply wonderful, I can practically smell them!
Love the simplicity of the coffee cup.
I am anxious to see if anyone else had to watch Fiddler on the Roof because Sunrise Sunset got stuck in their head because of your challenge.
But, I am sure it was only me.
If you ask me, a pan of cinnamon rolls is a pan of sunshine. So you captured it just fine.

This is my first time linking up — thank you (although I totally cheated — no sun in Nebraska this week, so I posted pictures I took earlier this fall!). I posted my pics yesterday because I thought Wednesdays were You Capture Day — sorry I was a day early. I will be better next time! Next week’s You Capture sounds challenging (although maybe not with Turkey Day!).

I am cheating a little this week with my links as I have simply linked to a tag ‘catagory’ in my 365 blog. Reason being I haven’t taken any sunrise/set pictures since a few weeks back. It’s pretty much winter here in the UK and the skies are just dull and cold – but the autumn was a different story, so I’ve linked you back to those shots. I didn’t want to re-post them because it takes up storage space & some folks will have seen them before anyway! Hope that’s OK

I have to admit I cheated this week. The last real sunrise I saw was on the 8th of November, so mine was taken a little over a week ago.
But I LOVE how you shifted things around. I’m not a coffee drinker, but that cup sure does make me want to cozy up to it.
I had to cheat . . . my photo is a little over a week old.

I’m excited, too, about you and your sister having babies so close together. I have two daughters who have had babies 2months/2days apart. From a grandmother’s point of view, it’s a heckuva lot of fun!

My mother always baked cinnamon rolls on our first day of school and I remember coming home to them and eating the house down. I will only eat homemade ones, they are the best.
I had grandiose plans of shooting the sunset in the mountains, but apparently this time of year the sun sets at 4:15 pm! I missed it three times!

Beth- Were those Pioneer Woman’s Cinnamon Rolls?? I have been wanting to try that recipe out.
We had no sun, I was never up at sunrise and I have no idea what I was doing at sunset any day last week. As such, I didn’t participate this week. Food should be fun even though You Capture is on Thursday and we’ll be traveling for Thanksgiving meal(s) so I won’t have any Thanksgiving food. But I have some great meals planned this week!
