This week’s topic was interesting, wasn’t it? At first I was frustrated with it, I was like “who thinks of these stupid things?!”
And then I remembered it was me and I was like “oh, well, it’s a pretty good idea, it’s not THAT stupid,” trying to be easier on myself.
But in the end? I actually like this theme and am very excited to see what all of you have come up with it! So, let’s take a peek, shall we?
I found lines on my candy canes that sit in my kitchen, waiting for me to crush them for a delicious recipe I’ll be making today. mmmm…I can’t wait.

This here shot is my favorite. FAVORITE.

This photo was taken this morning, the sun had finally made an appearance and the wind chill was negative 15 and for some reason there were these little rainbows everywhere, which you can not see in this photo, but what you can see is what we see everyday…power lines. (and also a beautiful, frigid, wintry scene.)

Now it’s your turn to share!
Remember, anyone can link up, you just need to read the rules first! Click here for the rules!

The next few weeks the challenges will be based on the Holidays because well, it’s that time of year, of course. So, next week, photograph your favorite Holiday decor, try different angles and different editing techniques. Get creative! I can’t wait to see!
Happy Capturing!

This week’s topic was my FAVORITE! I just really liked how many ways you could take it. And those red candy canes are amazing. The power lines are emotional!

The second picture of the candy canes makes me hungry! I love candy canes. They are great for stirring hot tea or coffee with.
If you could send some of that candy cane goodness my way, that’d be awesome…
Love the candy canes. Yum.
I have to admit I wasn’t too excited about this challenge either, but once I got into and realized how many cool lines are out there, I had so much fun! Thank you so much for pushing us to get out there and NOTICE things!!
I love your shots–the colors in the candy cane and the serenity in the wintry scene! Beautiful!

Beautiful pics! Love the Believe container!
Those candy canes are divine! Love them!
I think it’s a good theme. I like lines. It reminds me of assembly lines, rows of cookies on a sheet, organization and getting things done. It’s something I crave, but with two little girls it doesn’t happen much here. I was a little worried, because this is my first time participating and I thought, lines? Is this photographer lingo for something I don’t know about? I am not so good at taking pictures. Glad to see it’s been taken in so many different directions! The redder one with the candy canes is my favorite. I need to get some candy canes!

Love the red candy cane shot and the rural scene. This week was a challenge, but once I started looking for them, I began to see lines everywhere. I’m still seeing them, even as I drove to the grocery store this morning. That’s pretty cool. Thanks for this challenging but creative opportunity!
Loved this topic, there are so many great ways to interpret lines!
The red candy cane shot is my favorite. Yum.

Keep ‘em coming regardless of how stupid they may sound
I think that it hilarious that you and I can take pictures of the same things and yours are artistic and beautiful and mine are just pictures! But I just know that if you keep teaching, I’ll start learning.
I love your power lines…and your candy canes.
Mmmmmmmmmmmm candy canes!!! Love it
Wow! Good job all! I had to pass this week, I didn’t even know where to begin with this challenge! Haha.

Glad your family is well!!
Those cookies are beautiful. I think I can manage to make them look cute. My 2 girls will have fun with that one.
Our family traditions are many. We always make a gingerbread house (the pre-made ones, of course). It’s always fun but comes out not-so-pretty.
Secondly, we always celebrate 2 Christmases. One with family in CA, then off to AZ to celebrate with my family.
Thirdly, we always make a homemade ornament to include in our family gifts.
Fourth, we eat tamales, red chili, beans and tortillas in AZ.
I guess I should stop! Thanks for the post!
I really love your captures, I think shooting a candy cane would be hard.
I’m late to the party, this week’s challenge was definitely a challenge for me. I didn’t like the way my first round came out, so I had a redo.
first time i did a you capture…it’s fun!
SO HARD to decide what to capture! There are so many fun lines this time of year! http://tiny.cc/9dBOt
