This morning, he didn’t cry.

We played.

We sneezed.

We pooped twice. Well, not “we,” just “he.”

We watched the ceiling fan. (it’s Eli’s favorite show.)

And we wondered why Mom always held a camera up to her face.

And while he was so busy being big and watching me be silly using my high-pitched voice and saying “Mommy Loves You,” over and over and over again,
I couldn’t believe two things.
One, that this is the same baby as last Monday.
and two, that I could ever, ever be so lucky to be his Mama.

we are getting to the happy period also, its so much better than cry until attached to boob or sleeping.
amazing even with the other stuff i just melt every time i see her (which is well all the time but i am okay with that)and i am sure you are the same!
great pics, he is adorable!
those pictures are gorgeous!! it’s so strange how mommyhood can change from day to day. one day is great, the next day is frustrations over your head. but isn’t it all worth it??? i mean, in the midst of it, it might seem like it will never end. but, as i’ve been told a million times…
This too shall pass.

Really.. he didnt cry?? AWESOME! Man.. we didnt see that side of Miles until he was like 14 months old. So jealous, and also SO HAPPY FOR YOU!
Oh I’m so glad things seem to be getting better for you. He’s beautiful!!
Oh I’m so happy for you. I remember the first time that Theo woke up and didn’t cry. I was in shock.
He’s beautiful.
That sounds like a perfectly perfect way to spend the day
So glad he is smiling more and crying less and that you are enjoying every second of it.
Great post! so glad he’s gotten over the crying all the time…. good job!
Beth- he is so beautiful!!!! I’m so glad things are looking up for you both!
I love the expressions on his face with each picture! What a gorgeous baby boy. Thank you for sharing him.
So glad to hear it. Only gets better from here! (At least until he starts teething.) (Knock on wood.)
It’s a big, fun world, and he’s taking it all in, isn’t he? I love his curled-up little fingers.
Awwwww so sweet
I’m so glad you had a happy-boy day! Love his little grin, and the sneezy face.
awww. He’s so wonderful.
The first weeks are always so crazy because they change every single day.
LOVE! He’s precious.
Eli is so cute. Did you have to change anything to make him happy
I love these beautiful pictures – not just because they’re beautiful pictures but because of the beautiful message they send of a happy baby and a happy mom. AND that makes a happy, happy grandma.
Yay! for happy babies!
Girl, you must be fast with that camera. You caught every look at just the right moment. Amazing. And I totally see Noah’s face in him.
My 8-week old loves the ceiling fan, too. She lies on my bed and just smiles at it….more than she has smiled at her Daddy.
I’m so glad you are getting to see that side of him and just enjoy being his mommy. I’ve been reading your posts on the whole crying issue and I’ve been thinking about you and praying for you. My little girl loved ceiling fans, and even now at 6 months they sometimes get her attention when she sees a “new” one at somebody else’s house. Eli is adorable and precious!
How precious! I just adore the sneezy picture, that is too darn cute!
Now I must go beg my husband to let me have another one… LOL!
Yay for your Happy Baby…I love the pictures
hooray!!!!!!!
Yay for a happy, happy baby.
YAY!! So glad Eli is happier & less hungry. I know you are a happy Momma now. Great Pics!
So happy things are better today! He’s so wonderful!
I’m sitting over here trying to entertain my two year old for an extra 5-10 minutes and I remembered you had updated today with pictures. I plopped her down in front of the computer and she’s been screaming BAAAAABY BABY BAABY BAAAAAAAABY for about 3 minutes straight now. So…um…thanks for the cute baby pictures!!!!!
Gosh he is sooo handsome! Glad things are going better for you and little man.
YEAH!!! He looks so happy!!! What a cutie!!
Wow – this is my first time visiting your blog, and I love it. The photos you’ve posted of Eli are quite dangerous, as they have given me a momentary “am I sure two kids are enough?” twinge. Thanks for sharing!
Oh my sweetness
So cute!
(My daughter has a similar little red patch on her forehead, and I think it’s the sweetest thing in the world!)
Oh YAY! So very very happy for you.
Glad you two got to enjoy each other this morning!!
Oh my gosh!! He is so stinking cute!! You are very lucky! But then, so is he.
Ok… this kid is growing too fast already! He’s awesome! I keep wanting to say he’s starting to look more like Racecar(sorry Noah, I’m still fond of that name
Love you all <3
Such a sweet baby! I’m glad this week is better. We just take it day by day in our house with baby P.
Wow. These pictures of him are so dang ridiculous. I love his side eyes in the first picture, I love his SMASHINGLY CUTE sneeze, his little lips, his fists….but most of all I think I LOVE HIS SOCKS. I want to take them off and CRUMPLE them up and THROW THEM!!!!
I’m so glad he’s doing so much better!! So cute

YAY!!!! I’m so happy. I’ve been thinking of you and sending you good thoughts!!
I am SO GLAD he’s feeling better…and that you must be feeling better, too! Enjoy that little bundle and give his sweet cheeks kisses for me!
I hope the happiness returns today!
He’s simply adorable. I love his stork bite. Both my kids had them, as well.
I’m glad to read you both had a good morning yesterday.
So happy that your sweetie seems to be content, at least for now, and hoping that his little body is getting used to being out in this big, bright world! Makes for some of those special, quiet moments between you and him. Hoping for many more of those for the two of you, as you continue to get to know one another. He is absolutely adorable.
