I was thinking about posting about the day that Eli was born and the days that followed but then I just completed a 90 minute nursing session and now I’m tired and scared of what the night will bring, so I’m going to be a wimp and go to bed. or start to go to bed by getting ready for bed which seems to take forever now and then add in another nursing session and well, I should be in bed within three hours. OR SO.
But see who I got to look at all day? He’s mine.
And I love him.

Now, I’m going to do something super annoying here and dish out advice that you didn’t ask for. Yes, I know it’s obnoxious, but I’m going to do it anyway. Babies will get their nourishment in the first 30 minutes of feeding. After that, they are using you as a pacifier. It’s okay to take them off. I nursed all 3 of my munchkins and they were all chubby babies, even though I stopped their nursing after 30 minutes if they were still hanging out on my boob at that point.
Just trying to get more rest for you. Don’t hate me!

Adorable. My youngest is 19 and lives at home with her 9 month old baby girl. She nurses all day and night too and that is the most content baby ever except for all of mine.I nursed some until they were 3 yrs old. Let the dishes and the world wait. The tiny days are gone so fast. I envy you and my daughter. After what you have been through I am sure you are savoring every minute. He really is a pretty baby. I hope you get some rest.

oh my mercy! He is beyond adorable! Love on that little man all you can! Before you know it he’ll be 11 then 13 (like my two boys) and they won’t want you huggin’ on them! But I do sneak in a hug and a kiss every now and then! So happy for you!!!

So sorry about the 90 minute marathon nursing going on around there. You know it will get better, it’s just hard to remember that when you’re in the midst of it, isn’t it?
