I love Mother’s Day because I love my mom :)
(That and it is entertaining to watch my husband spend the day talking to our kids through clenched teeth and telling them to “KNOCK OFF ALL OF THE FIGHTING…THIS DAY IS ABOUT YOUR MOTHER!!!!”. Cracks me up every year).

It is a day that I appreciate so much more now that I am a mom and understand all that my mother did to raise me. I love and appreciate her more than she will ever know, and Mother’s Day gives me the perfect chance to thank her for everything she has done for me! Of course, I also enjoy having a day that my husband reminds my kids to be good all day, because it is Mother’s Day!!

Obviously I love Mother’s Day because I love my mom. But also because I am one. I think the reason I love it so much is it makes us take a day to acknowledge, appreciate and share … we let life go by sometimes and without this dedicated day I wonder if we would forget about this wonderful roll that mother’s play. I mean, it’s EVERYTHING.

    Happy Mother’s Day Beth!!

I love Mother’s Day because it happens at the most beautiful time of the year, because it’s a day when I can exercise the right to do whatever I want to, and most of all because it renews every year how proud I am of my six kids and their spouses, my nineteen grandchildren and one grandson-in-law and my great grandson. And not only am I proud of them but I’m so very blessed by each and every one of them who make me feel loved and like it’s Mother’s Day every day of the year.

I love Mother’s Day because we all of my Mom’s extended family get together the day before and celebrate together all the mom’s in our family! It is one of two times a year we all get together and it is so nice! We also get to eat some yummy homemade ice cream that my mom’s aunt makes. Yeah for Mother’s Day, especially now that I am a mom!

I love Mother’s Day because my husband tries so hard to make the day perfect. He even plans ahead to take the kids away from the house so I can nap uninterrupted. It’s just a shame the day only comes once a year (from the nap perspective).

at the risk of being tarred and feathered within an inch of my life, i must admit that i’m not all that fond of mother’s day. (i have reasons, but as this is neither therapy nor a confessional, i shall spare you the drama and angst.)

i do, however, adore my mum. so can i still enter?

I love Mother’s Day because it is a time to remember everything our mothers have done for us. I never fully understodd this until I became a mother. It is not about the gifts; it is about loving and respecting your mother for all that she is EVERY day.

2 mother’s days ago it was a terrible, horrible day for me. I tried to pretend it wasn’t Mother’s Day. I had a missed miscarriage 6 months before, and hadn’t been able to get pregnant again yet. I WAS a Mommy, but didn’t have any baby in my arms. Last Mother’s Day I had a 10 day old baby in my arms….Mother’s Day, to me, meant that God DOES hear my prayers.

I love a day where I can shower my mom with love and gifts, and it can make her feel even more special than she is. It does make me feel good to have my family be extra sweet to me, but I find that I enjoy this holiday more when I focus on my own mom.

Lucky you- Georgetown Cupcakes look amazing! Mother’s Day, I don’t really LOVE the holiday, even though I have 4 kids. My mom works every Mother’s Day, so we spend it with my MIL but at least I’m with my kids (and I’m with my kids EVERYDAY too). I hope this Mother’s Day is more entertaining than the last 8 years.
