You Capture – Depth of Field

May 19th, 2010

Hi friends!

How did you do with Depth of Field? I had fun, wish I were able to capture more but that’s okay.

Tonight, I was changing Elijah’s diaper and he was so very angry with me. He was angry (he hadn’t eaten in TWO WHOLE HOURS!) and his diaper was very full and so it took awhile to get him all cleaned up. I was about to nurse him when I decided to give him his medicine which typically calms him down because he enjoys the taste so much.

I gave it to him and he calmed right down. Even found himself a foot rest.

relax

I bought this flower the day before Mother’s Day. It’s so strange and well, it won’t die, apparently. I love the subtleness of the chair in the background. The flower looks like a firework or ramen noodles, don’t you think?

crazy flower

And now we are back to Eli’s feet. Just look at those cute little piggies.

five piggies

Those are my depth of field shots, I can’t wait to see yours!

I’m a little frightened of the flower that won’t die. And also, a little regretful because all of my flowers are very dead, and so maybe I should’ve bought some of those weird green ones.
I loved relaxed Eli. I hope the calm continues.

I love this! I need to work on it. I haven’t had a chance to play around with my camera this week. Have been using my phone. Will DEFINITELY take my camera with me tomorrow.

I always thought bokeh was the RESULT of shallow DOF, not just another name for it. Like all the pritty little dots of light you would get from a blured tree…. Have I been wrong all this time?!?!?!
    {Boy I feel silly}

I so love working on my bokeh, but I’m in the midst of a ridiculously large rummage sale, and it’s been hard to find time to pick up my camera for more than one or two shots to keep up with my Project 365!

But I love your bokeh shots this week! And I’ll try to get going with my camera to capture some sky!

Loved this week’s You Capture! One of my favorite things to work on with my camera. Great captures this…piggies are precious and flower is really cool. How, may I ask, do you get such great soft colors? Any editing secrets you’re willing to share?

    3. I am still not able to link up on my iPhone. When I click the box that says “To add your link to the list, click here and enter your name and URL in the form that pops up” it just opens that same screen in another window. The box NEVER pops up. Anyone else have this problem from the iPhone?
