Hi friends!
How did you do with Depth of Field? I had fun, wish I were able to capture more but that’s okay.
Tonight, I was changing Elijah’s diaper and he was so very angry with me. He was angry (he hadn’t eaten in TWO WHOLE HOURS!) and his diaper was very full and so it took awhile to get him all cleaned up. I was about to nurse him when I decided to give him his medicine which typically calms him down because he enjoys the taste so much.
I gave it to him and he calmed right down. Even found himself a foot rest.

I bought this flower the day before Mother’s Day. It’s so strange and well, it won’t die, apparently. I love the subtleness of the chair in the background. The flower looks like a firework or ramen noodles, don’t you think?

And now we are back to Eli’s feet. Just look at those cute little piggies.

Those are my depth of field shots, I can’t wait to see yours!

Happy Capturing, my loves!

I’m a little frightened of the flower that won’t die. And also, a little regretful because all of my flowers are very dead, and so maybe I should’ve bought some of those weird green ones.
I loved relaxed Eli. I hope the calm continues.
I love this! I need to work on it. I haven’t had a chance to play around with my camera this week. Have been using my phone. Will DEFINITELY take my camera with me tomorrow.
Steph
Nothin’ better than infant piggies. Simply adorable!
Love his foot rest. he he. Glad to hear he’s feeling a little better.
*draws a deep whiff* Baby feet! I want to smell baby feet again!
Baby toes are awesome!!! Loved this assignment. I had so much fun with it.
I love tootsie pictures! I had a lot of fun with this week!
I always thought bokeh was the RESULT of shallow DOF, not just another name for it. Like all the pritty little dots of light you would get from a blured tree…. Have I been wrong all this time?!?!?!
{Boy I feel silly}
I so love working on my bokeh, but I’m in the midst of a ridiculously large rummage sale, and it’s been hard to find time to pick up my camera for more than one or two shots to keep up with my Project 365!
But I love your bokeh shots this week! And I’ll try to get going with my camera to capture some sky!
Loved this week’s You Capture! One of my favorite things to work on with my camera. Great captures this…piggies are precious and flower is really cool. How, may I ask, do you get such great soft colors? Any editing secrets you’re willing to share?
[...] week’s You Capture assignment from Beth at I Should Be Folding Laundry was depth of field. Oh my goodness. Beth. What are you trying to do to me? I just learned [...]
Such beautiful captures!
I love that flower, very cool colors in that one.
And who can resist baby toes? Not me.
I haven’t participated in several months but I’m glad to be back. Can’t wait to see everyone else’s photos.
I especially like the last one. Very good capture. I’m just learning DoF right now. It’s not easy.
Wow that flower does look like crazed Ramen noodles! I’m a little frightened! But the baby toes are cute. nom nom nom
Those little feetsies just kill me. It is hard to believe that they start out so small!!! Love the photos and I am loving the challenges!!
Thanks
I just LOVE the baby foot rest! Great DOF on that one.
I’m having trouble seeing Mr. Linky. Is anybody else having difficulty?
Same thing here Audrey…
Mr. Linky isn’t working for me either. It just shows to next week’s You Capture assignment and then nothing else.
lovely! This is my absolute favorite way to photograph babies!
Ah, well I am off to bed. I’ll try again in the morning. Night, ya’ll.
No Mr. Linky showing up for me either. Computer genius husband says it isn’t even posted so it isn’t that it isn’t loading, it wasn’t added to the post.
Thanks Bec…I figured I wasn’t crazy.
Can’t wait to see your pics this week. I had a fun (and trying) time figuring out my camera’s settings to work w/ DoF. Hopefully I did well?
I adore the baby foot! And the flower is pretty cool.
Thanks Bec…I figured I wasn’t crazy. Can’t wait to see your pics this week. I had a fun (and trying) time figuring out my camera’s settings to work w/ DoF. Hopefully I did well?
+1
SO cute! love little tiny toes!!
Love those baby feet! I also love the sky, can’t wait to start taking sky shots.
I always knew a bulb syringe had a higher calling … I bet it works much better as a foot rest than I ever got it to work for its real purpose! =>
PS: Having trouble seeing Mr. Linky here, too.
Such an interesting flower ~ and SOOO sweet feets!!
Mr. Linky seems to be back!
Eli has very nice piggies !
The flower is SO cool. And Eli’s feet? LOVE.
Oh, the baby toes! Love them!
Oh my gosh..I absolutely can’t get enough of baby feet! I tell new parents to take lots of photos of those little piggies because they change.
Thanks for hosting! It’s been fun(my second week of it).

baby toes are bliss! lovely!
I love the baby toes. For some reason I photograph isolated photos of my kid’s cute parts too! Like ears, fingers, and eyes. This was my first week participating and it was a challenge for me but I’ll definitely be back. Thanks!
What is it about baby toes that make me smile every time?
i loved the feet pictures when Mason was itty-bitty too! Love the Spider Mum pic. They are great flowers.
1. I love the baby toes. He’s a cutie patootie.
2. I absolutely love next week’s assignment.
3. I am still not able to link up on my iPhone. When I click the box that says “To add your link to the list, click here and enter your name and URL in the form that pops up” it just opens that same screen in another window. The box NEVER pops up. Anyone else have this problem from the iPhone?
Cute, cute, cute! Though my tastes run more to cheeks and bottoms than toes.
Those flowers that won’t die are my favorite, especially the green ones!! [Spider Mums] I have a vase with 7 little ones in them that I got with an arrangement on May 1 and they are still alive, while the other flowers and greenery is long gone!
Yay! Finally got linked up! Spider mums do tend to last forever
That is one cool flower.. and I heart Eli’s little feet!!
My wife just bought me a Digital SLR and I am in love with it! I am still learning how to use it! Dont be surprised If I bug you for tips, lol.

I love those flowers they just seem soo happy! Adorable toes…I want to nibble them!
[...] Posted on May 20, 2010 by Thea @ Im A Drama Mama I tried to go manual to get some good Depth of Field shots, but I’m just so impatient with myself and intimidated by that setting that I ended up [...]
Sorry, my first entry has the wrong address!
I love perusing through the weekly themes and seeing everyone’s interpretation. It really is a great way to learn and explore, thank you for having these.
Beautiful pictures! I especially love the first one! Thanks for this assignment…it helped me discover my camera does a little more than just point and shoot
Love the baby toes!
