Noah woke up at 8:45 this morning. I heard him walking downstairs, sleepily, I was holding Eli, he sat next to me and asked “what color eyes do alligators have?”
hmmm….I’m not sure. So, with one hand, I typed the question in Google and decided that maybe the answer was black. ”Black.”
“oh…Are we going to have fun today?” He asked.
“Don’t we have fun everyday?”
“Yes! I’m just making sure.”
They really are having a great summer so far. They have been so busy and played so much that last night, Anna sort of collapsed on me and started to cry because she was so tired. Anna rarely cries and she also NEVER admits being tired. It should not surprised you that at 9:06, little baby girl is still sleeping.
So, I’m out of milk. I can not tell you the last time we ran out of milk. I’m almost embarrassed that we are out of milk but we are out of milk. So, Noah is eating dry Lucky Charms, a banana and a nutri-grain bar. Which he thinks is the coolest breakfast ever. “Water is the best thing I have ever tried in my whole entire life.” That’s what he just said to me. (have I mentioned how much he loves life? Oh my gosh, he does.)
This weekend we are celebrating Father’s Day. I’ve decided to give Brian exactly what I would want for Mother’s Day but can never seem to get…a clean house and no dirty laundry. TRUE relaxation. Maybe he’ll like it, maybe he won’t. Either way, it’s my gift. (okay, that’s not all I’m giving him but I can’t share that, I don’t know how often he sneaks a peek at my blog!)
Speaking of Brian, he’s on vacation the next two weeks. I’m pretty excited to catch up and cross off some of those things that have been lingering on my to-do list for a really long time and really excited for him to disconnect from work. (have I mentioned Brian works all of the time? Oh my gosh, he does.) We plan to go to Brookfield Zoo and visit my sister, Sarah in Louisville. I’m not sure what else but I do know we are going to have fun.
Everyday. Just the way Noah likes it.
Anna just woke up and heard about the dry Lucky Charms…she’s sitting at the table waiting patiently for this special “treat.”
Happy Friday. Happy Weekend. Happy Father’s Day.

Love the photo, love the breakfast and LOVE that your kids sleep in! You are very lucky. Happy Friday!

Dry cereal is somewhat of a milestone for childhood.
Such a precious photo! Even though they were all dressed up with important places to go and people to see, they had to take a few minutes to check on their baby brother.
Happy Friday and weekend to you! I would love to have a clean house and no dirty clothes….maybe that can be my gift to my husband for Father’s Day, too. I’m not sure he would appreciate it as much as I would, though. Your Friday Morning Coffee posts are my favorite…I look forward to them each week!
I love your picture at the end of this post. That’s a classic!
That is a fantastic picture. I love it!
Here’s too a weekend of fun!
Brilliant. Reading this just psyched me up for my Friday AND mellowed me out at the same time. Pat yourself on the back, mama!!! You’re doing a good job.

Awesome snaps below, and your newest edition is VERY handsome!
This is one of the cutest pictures EVER
Love the Toy Story costumes! Everyday my daughter wakes me up with “It’s a beautiful day Mommy!” Translation, “let’s go outside!”… even if it’s only 7am! lol!
What a fantastic picture! Everything about it is beautiful – the composition, the rich color the questions it evokes. What a perfect capture!
Cheers,
Anne
Oh you truly do have wonderful, loving children!
I’m guessing the people at Disney would LOVE that picture! HA!

My kids eat dry cereal ALL the time ~ they hate it going soggy, so they drink the milk in a glass instead! I have a great recipe for homemade museli that only needs OJ ~ well I love it anyway, not sure about the kids!
