You Capture – Play
ByHi friends!
I hope you had a great week. This past weekend we visited a water park for three days, it was great fun and there was TONS of play but not a lot of pictures taking because of the water and also the lighting was TRICKY. But I did my best.
Here’s Noah, playing with water. Check out my settings, this was a serious low-light situation! I wish I had lowered my aperture to 1.8. Dangit.

F 2.5 | SS 1/60 | ISO 1250
This was near a set of doors at the waterpark. Anna is a serious water park junkie going on every single water slide available many times. She has an adventurer’s spirit. I love it.
Here she is in between slides.

F 2.0 | SS 1/400 | ISO 500
And this is what’s typically covering my kitchen floors. Well, this and cheerios, blueberries and spaghetti.

Now it’s your turn!
But first, remember these most important guidelines.
1. Anyone can join in on the challenge at anytime.
2. Please make sure the photos you use were taken for the challenge, meaning do not search your archives for an appropriate photo. The goal of You Capture is to get you out taking photos each week!
3. Use YOUR photos.
4. When linking up, only link to your You Capture blog post, not your main blog URL. (incorrect links will be deleted.)
5. You MUST link back to You Capture in your post.
6. I encourage you to visit other participants and leave comments. This is a great way to meet new friends!

Summer.
Capture what summer means to you before it’s over. Is it a big bowl of watermelon? Sweat dripping down your face? The beach? Fireflies? Go out of your way to capture what you think of when you think of summer!
Happy Capturing!

Those waterpark photos are great! I’ve never been able to get good pictures when we go because of the lighting, which just goes to prove what an amazing photographer you are.
And the dinos on the floor? Love.
Love that shot of Noah! And the toy shot is cool too. Makes me want to build a diorama.
Had such fun with this week’s challenge — thanks!!
I bet those dinosaurs give the blueberries a run for their money in the daily geologic battle taking place in your kitchen! =>
I actually really love what you did with the lighting and color. It’s got a great feel to it!
And I love the dinos too! WIth their mouths all gaping wide, RAWR! LOL.
Despite the poor lighting, that shot of Noah is great! I wish my boys were a bit more adventurous. We live less than two hours away from “America’s Largest Waterpark” and less than 10 minutes away from a pretty decent waterpark, but my boys are a bit timid. We’ll work on them!
I was really hoping we’d get to have a road trip adventure that ended at a water park this summer, but I think we’re running out of time! How fun!
Oh Beth I love the shot of Noah, the tone is beautiful!
Loveing your themes too by the way! have a great week-end!

Love your pic selection. I used to love waterparks…not too many near London unfortunately (then again, the weather isn’t usually condusive to their use anyway). Had fun taking pics of fun!
I’m sure you guys had so much fun! I’d like to go to a place like that soon… I think we have one pretty close; have to check.

Such fun shots! Also, I love your kitchen flooring!
Great shots Beth! We went to the Dells in June and had a blast with the kiddos. Looks like Key Lime Cove is awesome too….wanting to try that one out. Thanks, as always, for hosting!
Anna looks like she’s definitely serious about those slides! I LOVE water parks and we didn’t get to go this Summer.
They are just so fun!!
And I can totally relate to that last one. I had some similar shots but rain play won out this week!
Looks like they had a wonderful time.
I really like that first photo! It looks like they had a blast! Love the last one too. Totally know what you mean. Haha!
I love waterparks! I can’t wait to move back to the states. Our boys will be old enough to enjoy them then!
And my floors? There’s always mega blocks everywhere… and they HURT when you step on them… Mega blocks and airplanes.
Now waterparks are my kind of place to play! Despite the low light, I love the first photo.

Great shots! Looks like our kitchen floor!
The second photo is priceless. Love it!
I love the first shot I had to go back and look at it because I first I thought he was water skiing. (hes not right? lol…) I like how you edit it and well just the OVER all photo.
Wonderful shots! Loved the dinos…my oldest son (now 13) was my dinosaur kid. I kinda miss stepping over his little toy figures. Just a little.
Wow, Anna looks so irritated that you stopped her between slides lol.
Oh man I love waterparks. When I am pregnant and know I can’t go on waterslides they look especially wonderful and appealing, because I am human like that.
Beautiful kids, beautiful shots.
xoxo
oops i meant kids lol i do not know why i said boys!
Oh how we love Key Lime Cove. It is a hop, skip & a jump away from our house in the Western Suburbs. Glad everyone had fun!
I think we might live in the same house because we seem to have the same items scattered all over our floor!
I would be so scared to shoot around water too like that, but the two shots you got are perfect!

Beautiful shots, despite the low lighting! You did good!!
And I’m sure they had a LOT of fun!
Love the dinosaurs too ~ cute, though slightly hazardous!!
That one of Anna. Killer.
Steph
Love these pictures!
Also loving the Water Parks this year. HOT HOT HOT! We went to our first big Water Park this summer with our three little ones and had such a good time, I can’t wait to go back next year!
Thanks again for these challenges…
That one of Noah turned out so cool!
Great pictures, as usual. My favorite! NOAH playing in the water! What an awesome photo!
What a cute little guy! Do you have any idea what it might be? I know for a lot of babies its stomach-related.
