I don’t think I have the ability to create thoughts that make any sense right now. I’m really tired and have a lot on my mind. I am drinking my coffee and I had a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios earlier. This morning started out really early for all of us. It was pretty annoying but mostly it was nice. (DO NOT TELL MY KIDS I SAID THAT.)
In a few hours, I’ll be getting a haircut, my first one since Eli was just five weeks old and even then it was barely a haircut. My hair is going through that phase after having a baby where it all falls out. It’s pretty alarming how much is falling out.
Speaking of postpartum. I miss being pregnant. I am SO THANKFUL I enjoyed it so much.
And then after the awesome pregnancy, came this guy.

Eli is officially in nine month clothing. I’m not really sure how that happened. With Anna and Noah I started them on rice cereal at four months but with Eli, I’ve decided to hold off a bit, even though he really wants to try Honey Nut Cheerios. I can tell by the way he stares at me. His four month appointment is this Wednesday and he’s officially rolling over.
In fact, yesterday he rolled all over the living room. I can remember Anna rolling over seven years ago and being so excited. But when Eli rolls over, there are two older kids laughing and cheering him on and telling everyone they know about their baby brother rolling over. Makes the whole experience that much more amazing.

I wanted to share a few favorite links for you. First, I discovered this blog and I absolutely love it. It’s a great read while nursing or pumping and inspires me, like a lot. I’m considering painting my kitchen table, the table white and the chairs blue or the chairs orange…I can’t decide.
And then The Nester is sharing about nurseries. Which reminds me, I need to share the details on Eli’s nursery with you guys. I love his room.
If I start painting everything in my house and moving everything around and never blogging again, I blame these two jerks for inspiring me.
Wish me luck at my haircut … I’m thinking lots of bangs.
Enjoy your weekend. Seriously. ENJOY it.

Eli is changing so much. My grandson is four months old today. He is also rolling over and wearing 6 to 9 month clothes. I can’t believe how big they are both getting. Such cute little men. We are very lucky women.
I love the pictures! Those sweet little pucker lips are so precious. Please post pictures of your haircut…I love new haircuts.
I love how much you enjoyed being pregnant with Eli. I so much wish all pregnant women would realize how special of a blessing it is.
I love the Anna and Noah silhouettes!
Those pics are awesome. Eli is super cute!
I hope you enjoy your haircut and the time alone! That was always my favorite part.
Eli is a doll. I am totally loving this age as I will the next and the next and the next. (until around 18 mos. when he starts defying me like the others)
My hair is totally falling out, too, in GOBS. I am finding it all over Nicholas and it’s sick. I hope you have a great hair cut and weekend!
Yay for rolling over! Nicholas is close but not there yet. He is impressed by Eli’s rad moves.
Thanks for the shout-out for my blog, Beth! What a nice surprise. And those pics of Eli are too cute.
You liked being pregnant? Oh, how I wish that had been me. Is Eli your son’s whole name? Or is it short for something? We were going to name our baby Elliott but then I gave birth (ok, well, I got slit open… details) and he was a she. So, Daisy it is. Anyway, Eli is adorable.
I’m getting my first haircut since my daughter was born next week (she’s also 4 months) and my hair has been falling out like crazy too…I feel like we live with a dog or something with all the shedded hair everywhere!
I took maternity photos for a good friend the other day who’s due very soon and we were talking about what a blessing pregnancy is…all 3 of mine were difficult pregnancies with lots of bedrest, but I still loved it. I don’t understand those who hate it…I’m sure they have their reasons, but it’s such a short period of your life that you get to experience such an amazing blessing.
Oh, and Eli just gets cuter all the time!
Oh that Eli is just too much! He is so cute- you have a heart breaker on your hands! I love how Anna and Noah cheer him on. My little brother is 15 years younger than me- which is quite a difference – but we would always think we were so lucky to get to watch him grow. Then, when he got older and we would go see his t-ball and basketball games he would be so proud and tell everyone who we were and how lucky he is. I love that Eli will be that lucky too- even though he already is.
Have a wonderful weekend! Can’t wait to see the new hair cut!
Good luck on your haircut although I don’t think you’ll need it. Your hair always looks great! And if your hair if falling out, it’s not apparrent to me.
Also, wonderful pictures! Are they wonderful because you’re such a great photographer or are you, as a photographer, lucky enough to have a baby who’s a perfect subject to photograph??!! lol. Both, I think!
I’m getting my hair cut this afternoon too! So excited. I’m over due myself… Yay for hair maintenance!
And btw, do you happen to want a trip to Louisiana? I SO wish you could take pics of me and my family. You are so wicked talented.
Happy Weekend!
You are KILLING ME with the silhouettes! KILLING ME! Is there any way I might be able to buy a print of one or two? (Even though they aren’t my kids, I love them that much….) ((Is that creepy?))
Anyway…thanks for sharing these pics, I might need to see if I can pull it off with my kids! I hope you have an incredible weekend!
Wonderful pictures, Beth. As expected. I got wayyy off track this week and did’t get my pictures taken for You Capture but hopefully I’ll get back in the game next week.
You sound tired. I hope you’re taking care of yourself. Those children can be tiring, even if they’re the best.
Hugs,
Weezer
Oh The Nester. How I love her. And The Inspired Room, The Shabby Nest and This Young House. All fabulous, drool worthy blogs. That make you want to take everything out of your house and start over- pretty much EVERY single day I read their blogs. I could quit my job, neglect my family and STILL never be done tackling all of the projects I long to start. But I do love reading them and seeing what is possible if one has the time (or a degree in design). Happy Weekend to you and your family. Try not to get too overwhelmed staring at your walls and window coverings imagining what The Nester would do…..
What a cutie! I cannot believe he is already in 9-month old clothing. Our daughter is usually in clothing about 3 months early as well. Great tips on blogs. Thanks for sharing!
I”m sure people would think I am CRAZY for saying that I miss being pregnant too!! The end was a little rough, but I only had 1.5 days of staying in bed (and that was after a visit with the midwife and the baby came the next day!!).
Don’t get me wrong my baby is adorable, just like Eli, and I’m glad he arrived safely… but I miss carrying my babe soo close!!
Oh, and I”m hoping my little guy starts rolling around the room soon… my oldest did that my my middle two didn’t! I think he’d be more content if he could get around a little more:) He rolled from his tummy to his back at 4 weeks…. so he could do it this month when he turns 4 months;)
Hope the haircut is FAB:) I soooooo need a cut or trim… don’t know what I’m waiting for???
Eli is precious…seriously so cute.
I only have one little yummy baby now, but the mental picture of having 2 kiddos cheering on their little sibling makes me want 20 kids.
Kinda like the Duggers.
Never fear, I’m too old for 20 kids.
that first picture of eli is a heart-stealer. he’s so cute!
