I can’t decide if I’m saying this with excitement or dread…
IT’S ALMOST BACK TO SCHOOL TIME!
Okay, maybe it’s both, a little bowl of excitement with a sprinkling of dread with a big fat dollar sign on top.
I’ve decided that I would like school if we could send our kids from 11-4, yes, that would be perfect. None of this early stuff.
I have a feeling that will never go my way but something that will go my way are character-free backpacks. I honestly love character-free anything but backpacks with a simple print on them have a special place in my heart.
This year, my kids are getting their backpacks from Lands’ End. They picked them out online and are super excited to receive them. I can always count on QUALITY when purchased from Lands’ End. I love that.

My kids are still young so our favorite thing about back to school is getting to watch the school bus drive by twice a day! Doesn’t take much to excite this bunch.

I do have to say that this is an awesome giveaway. As a teacher who goes back to work in less then a week I dread the early mornings as well. Elementary school days start for me at 7:30 a.m. YUCK! I love not having to wake up to an alarm clock during the summer months.

what i love about first day of school is the new school supplies. what i dislike about the first day of school is shopping for it.
I’m so ready for a schedule. Like, a real schedule. And school just happens to provide a good one, with lovely things for the kids to do. (They only go till noon, tho…)
Drew’s backpack was from Lands End last year and I can just tell you, he was not careful with it and it still looks new. I was planning on getting Madeline one, too, except I’m torn because she already has one. I’m still leaning towards getting her a LE one though because can get the small haul one that will fit her better. You know, if I don’t win.
I really dread having to get back into the routine of school. I love the care-freeness (is that such a word?) of summer.
