Oh, hello there.
How was your week? and most importantly, how has a week flown by so quickly?!
My son is having a rough time this summer, every single day he asks why each day is “so short.” I think time is moving quickly for him, too. (I think this means he’s having a good summer!)
I really, really love summer and I really love s’mores but this week, thanks to RAIN and lots of it, we never had s’mores. But, when the sun finally did come out, I was out with my camera, capturing my kids. (wishing I had a s’more)
Noah plays the guitar, he’s quite good, except not really. He likes to play in the lawn for neighbors. I love summer sunsets, I’m trying to pay attention to each and everyone because soon? SNOW.
Snow is so dumb.

and sometimes, I take a photo of my daughter, I download it and I think “my God, how did we create something so beautiful, must create 40 more.” And then she asks for Silly Bandz every 2 hours and wants gum and candy and says ‘but I don’t care about my teeth’ and fights with her brother and I think “you know, I think too much beauty in one house would just be dangerous. Let’s stick with one.”

then as we were walking in our downtown area, which is so beautiful, we came across blueberries growing beside the sidwalk which was dangerous because Noah loves blueberries and he loves FREE and really wanted some FREE BLUEBERRIES except I didn’t want to get arrested so I told him no.

So, there you go. My summer shots for this week.
Now it’s your turn to share!

Everyday things.

The guitar! Oh my goodness.
Steph
beautiful! and those blueberries look delicious!
Like Noah, I don’t think I could resist those blueberries either!
Snow IS dumb, Anna is seriously breathtaking, and of course Noah wanted free blueberries. He’s an old man and old people love free stuff. Trust me on this.

Looks like summer to me! I wish it would stick around forever!
Love these. As always, they’re beautiful. Especially digging the guitar shot. Like you, I had grand ambitions for my summer shots this week. But instead of weather, a sick child derailed those plans. She’s better now and was more than happy to devour a peach at the farmers market yesterday. Which made for some of my favorite shots of her ever.
Just love You Capture — thanks!!
That picture of your daughter! She is beautiful! I can see how you would almost…. want 40 more ( :
Gack!! You said the dreaded ‘S’ word.
I keep looking at the calendar, shocked that it’s already August. Where has the summer gone?!? I’m not ready for snow. Sigh.
Love the pic of your girly. And those blueberries. Yum!
Your daughter sounds so much like mine!
I said the same thing about snow…it’ll be here before we know it. Then we will complain about it. So bring on the humidity!
Beautiful summer….even without smores. ;o)
Noah & his guitar! Priceless.
The guitar is priceless. I feel the same way about my daughter when I look at photos and then she acts like a brat and all those feelings go away quickly. Like right now she is having a meltdown over lunch.
Summer is going by so fast. I am not looking forward to snow.
Ah, poor Noah! We picked blueberries this week–those pics are in my post.
Beautiful shots!
They are such amazing little people, I can tell.
great photos beth!
what is WITH these silly bandz? my kids are nuts for them as well.
I can’t believe how big the kids are getting. I was so sorry that I missed seeing them last week.
Hi Beth! This is my first time linking up (I think). I always mean to, and then I always forget. I love this linky and I love your blog design. Perfection.
She is beautiful! I totally understand wanting 40 more, which especially dangerous because mine can’t talk yet, so I still want 40 more! I love your photography style.
Oh I would love a little rain if it meant some cooler weather just for a few days – it is already 101F here today and set to keep on getting hotter. Beautiful photos of your son and daughter – I feel the same way looking at my own daughter, I so would like a few more!

YUMMMMM! I have been craving some blueberries and strawberries, and really any kind of berries, and those just look divine!!! They are hard to come by here in Kenya. I don’t think I could have restrained myself.
Your daughter is stunning indeed. She looks like her mama! Beautiful shots!
You should move South for the winter. NO SNOW here!
Beautiful shots of those kids. And summer fruit, for FREE? Yeah, I woulda been grabbin’ some like Noah wanted to!!
Have to laugh at the ‘too much beauty in one house’ thing
Right there with you! Imagining the little girl we’re about to bring home in a couple of months… TWO DRAMA QUEENS? oy vey.
Great shots!
Oh your children are beautiful! The guitar kills me. And your Anna is gorgeous. We just went blueberry picking and that’s what my summer photo is! Yay summer!
noah!
and anna looks so very innocent. =)
Out of all three photos the one of your daughter is what I think is the best. plus how you talked about her made me giggle. “lets stick with one.” love it!
Very pretty. Yes, I agree: snow IS dumb. I’d be happy if summer lasted forever. I obviously need to move to a tropical place. Any ideas?
I’m a super novice and I found you through reading someone’s blog! I look forward to participating next week!
You have such beautiful children.
Love the story about your daughter…
Hey Beth-
Both of your kids are so gorgeous….but don’t tell them too much. I got my summer post done this morning and was sure I’d be one of the first to link up….bummer, in the 70′s again. I’ve got to stop this “real job” in order to do the one I’m more passionate for.
Blueberries-yum. Tell Noah to come to Maine. There’s lots and lots of places to pick the free ones.

Summer music, lovely.
I can’t get over how sweet it is that your little guy plays the guitar for his pals. So cute. And I laughed out loud when I read your sentiment on your daughter. She is beautiful!
Such great shares

Your daughter is beautiful! My daughter has yet to find out about the craze of those silly bands!
There’s no getting around it. Your You Capture photos are always exceptional and this weeks are no exception. Of course it doesn’t hurt that your kids are so beautiful but there’s still the composition, the lighting, and the colors. I love especially the ones of Anna and Noah. AND, I love your narrative!
Indoor S’mores: Nutella, Marshmallow whip (or whatever that white dreamy fluffy marshmallow stuff in the jar is called), and graham crackers (preferably the cinnamon ones). Spread, press, and eat. Lots and lots. My kids love them.
Anna is beautiful x 1,000,000, and I just want to pop Noah. Eli, omg, I could kiss his ears all day long.
Gorgeous as always!! No link up from me this week (sorry), but there’s simply not been much summer round here! But I am curious…WHY would you get arrested for picking blueberries that are growing by the sidewalk (pavement where I’m from). In the UK if they are outside your garden boundary they are considered public property. We pick cherries & blackberries from the trees along the roadside and in the park ~ no problem! So long as no damage is done to the bush (that would be vandelism) they are ‘free-pickings’!
Changed my mind ~ I linked up (it’s not like I hadn’t taken ANY photos this week)! Better late than never
Hey! Stumbled onto your blog and wanted to say hi! Your blog title made me laugh so hard because it is such a perfect name for a blog written by a mom.
Love your writing with the photos as always…. and both your children are incredibly gorgeous.
Your daughter’s eyes are amazing in your photographs. Nice work. Sad to see that it is the end of summer already – it went by TOO fast!
