Hello, my photo capturing friends! I hope you enjoyed your creative freedom this week to capture whatever you wanted. I know some of you like having the direction of a specific assignment, but doing this, occasionally, allows you to be the teacher and makes you think “THIS WOULD BE SO COOL.”
So, I hope you enjoyed it!
I had lots of fun with silhouettes this weekend. I also asked my kids to jump around a lot while taking pictures which made them sleep extra good so it’s a win-win!

But then Anna said that her legs just could no longer jump anymore. Which was sad that I made her lose her jumping abilities, that was not my intention.
There was also rest, so don’t feel too bad for her. This photo, here? Well, it’s a photo where I can FEEL James and Jake in that sunshine above, shining down on us. About 15 minutes before this, Anna was playing with two butterflies, one yellow, one purple, it’s like they were flirting with her. She jumped around in the field and then watched them fly away. She said “James and Jake!”
I love how she knows.

I will be printing this for my walls.
Now it’s your turn to share!
But first, friends, please read:
1. Anyone can join in on the challenge at anytime.
2. Please make sure the photos you use were taken for the challenge, meaning do not search your archives for an appropriate photo. The goal of You Capture is to get you out taking photos each week!
3. Use YOUR photos.
4. When linking up, only link to your You Capture blog post, not your main blog URL. (incorrect links will be deleted.)
5. You MUST link back to You Capture in your post.
6. I encourage you to visit other participants and leave comments. This is a great way to meet new friends!

Happy Capturing!

My hubs has been wanting to learn some photography tricks so every once in a while I hand the camera over to him. I tried to show him how to do the silhouette thing. I looked ridiculous in every shot
Oh, I just LOVE that sunshine one – even before your mention of the butterflies. Very special.
Your photos this week are absolutely amazing, I love them all but the middle one is my favorite, absolutely brilliant. You have inspired me to try and do some silhouette photos, I doubt they will be anywhere near as good as these but thank you for making me want to try.
That last capture is truly beautiful. You should definitely print and display that one!
I love all three photos, but the third one is so beautiful.
YES! That last shot SHOULD be on your wall! Gor.geous!
Wonderful shots! Especially love that last one – sooooo sweet!
LOVE the 2nd capture. Perfect!
The capture of your kids sitting by the tree… Ahhh… So sweet and peaceful. I love it.
I adore these all for different reasons. You’re so talented Beth. And, you made me cry.
It’s kinda been one of “those” mornings…

That is awesome! I LOVE the last photo!
Beth, all three of these photos are truly breathtaking. The silhouettes are so fun and creative and yes, arty! I love them.
And the last one is beyond description. It’s so beautiful. I love how it looks like a silhouette but you can still see there faces. Wow!
I just love that last shot!
How fun ! I like the last one.
That third photo is STUNNING.
I lost my brother 3 years ago, and you can definitely feel their presence and see it in photos. Shortly after he died there was always a butterfly around. ALWAYS. My mom has a tattoo of a butterfly now
I love playing with silhouettes. Yours are excellent, and anything to wear the kids out is a bonus!
Oh so cool! I love silhouettes – and those are really cool!! I hope Anna gets her jumping back
I love those!! beautiful
That last one just oozes love, peace, beauty and magic.
Well done, m’lady…
That last one is just gorgeous. You should not only print it – you should print it on canvas. That sort of perfection in such a lovely moment? You won’t ever have to take that off your walls.
I love the butterflies, and how she gets it. So lovely.
LOVE THEM! So adorable!! I need to learn how to do silhouettes. Great photos.
Your silhouettes are amazing!
You are so talented! I love the middle photo.

That last photo? Wow. Just wow.

Breathtaking pictures!
I am new to your blog, so I just found out about your twin boys. I, too, have lost twins, and also have three beautiful healthy children as you do. I have also had similar experiences to your sunshine and butterflies– I really felt your post today. Hugs.
Your photos are stunning. But what I love more than anything is the writing that accompanies it. You draw your readers right into the image. What a special, special moment… thanks for being willing to share it with all of us.
[...] You Capture – Photog’s Choice Posted on September 16, 2010 by Thea @ Im A Drama Mama I took a lot of pictures while we were in New York City last weekend. This picture was a mistake.
