Friday Morning Coffee

November 12th, 2010

Good morning, friends. This is going to be a quick one.

Anna and Noah are home from school today and Brian was on vacation this week. So, if there was ever a week for Eli took get sick, I suppose this was a good one.

He’s still not back to his old cheerful self but he’s better. Oh and the crazy thing is that he’s getting all four top teeth, as we speak, so homeboy has it rough.

Today we are heading out to my sister’s house in Louisville. I have about 39 things to do within the next 2 hours and I’m sitting here updating you guys. Which I totally understand but uh, Brian does not.

So, to compromise, I’m going to use bullet points!

-On our way down to Kentucky, I will be listening to Mumford & Sons the entire way down and all the way back and probably the whole time we are there. If you haven’t listened to them…OHMYGOSH, what are you waiting for? They amaze me. They are the fire in my fireplace. The bop in my boppy. The pill in my pillow.

Okay, I’ll stop. I’m just looking around my living room trying to think of things. Oh wait…the WIN in my window! Yes! That’s a good one.

-I decided to draw winners for my giveaways on Sunday night or Monday. I really appreciate your patience.

-I have four sessions tomorrow – I can not wait. (Pray for good weather!)

-I love, love, love my new camera. It’s amazing. Next week I’ll do better taking pictures when I don’t have a sick baby.

-Eli dances. It’s so cute.

-Brian is giving me dirty looks because he knows in an hour I’ll be spazzing about packing and showering and cleaning before we leave at ten. He knows me so well.

Alright, that’s it. Listen. I know I’m not the best blogger in the world, I know I should be visiting blogs and emailing you guys and I try, I try really hard but I just do not have enough hours in the day. (I know you know what I’m talking about.) I just wanted to thank you for coming here every day or every other day or once a week and checking in on what’s going on with me and my family. That fact that you are here, right now? Means so much to me. Like, I hit the lottery.

So, thanks. And happy, happy, happy weekend to you.

Happy Weekend to you, too. :) Enjoy your family and your camera and all the good things. :)

(By the way, you wanna take Ruby down to Louisville with you? She’s trying on a new Southern accent (no joke), and L-ville would give her a good chance to perfect it.) :)

I had to check out the Mumford and Sons website. Turns out they are nothing like Sanford and Son. Just thought I’d clear that up for anyone else out there who may be confused. You are welcome.

Mumford & Sons is indeed AWESOME. I’ve been listening to Little Lion Man like mad. I even named a chapter of the story I’ve been posting on my blog (Bus Ride to Bucharest) after it.
Have a fabulous weekend! Hope Eli gets better right quick!

Have a wonderful time, can’t wait to hear all about it. I hope the little man feels better soon. Take some time and just breathe! I think you do a fantastic job with your family and you should be a very proud mother. Speaking from a mother with 3 grown children, who the eldest is 3yrs and 4mths older than the youngest, they grow so quickly and I have to stop ask where on earth has the last 20 years gone. We had our kids young and I am really proud to say that they think of us more as friends, and my husband is so looking forward to being a grandparent to some kids other than the ones that have four legs and a tail.
