I can not get over how quickly these last 72 hours have flown by, so many wonderful things happened that reminded me over and over again how sensational life is.
My eyes are so tired, I literally keep shutting them for moments at a time but I wanted to stop in and just show you, quickly, something I love.
On Friday, my camera was delivered along with many other packages, mostly prints for clients but there was a print for me. For the longest time, I have wanted a canvas of my kids to hang on my walls but they are really expensive so I had to make sure I had just the right photo.
I found the photo and took the plunge.
When the packages arrived, there sat a big rectangle box with the canvas inside and beside it sat the box with my camera in it.
Without hesitation, I opened the canvas first and I gasped at the beauty of my children. I put it on my mantle for the time being and even tweeted a photo of it.
Eventually I opened the box that held my new camera but since opening that first box I have looked at this piece of art no less than a few hundred times.
On Saturday, I decided to step outside of my boring decorating box and heed the words of The Nester, “it doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful.” She is so smart. And pretty. And funny. And cute. And she smells good.
Anyway.
I believed those words and I followed my heart and I moved things around and hammered and hung and now I’m looking at this.
And it’s beautiful and I love it for about a million, trillion reasons.

Oh and the pom poms are still on the mantle from Elijah’s Baptism celebration, they make me happy, so I left them up. {for now.}

beautiful!!
i’m so proud of you! i love it. that canvas is gorgeous & i love the 3 little eggs in the nest. perfect.

Did you rehang the painting somewhere else?

Wow that looks great! I just got inspired to go redecorate a bit!
I love it, but how could you lose with those three beautiful faces to work with!
That’s so lovely, Beth. I love the separate shots of the kids, the Fs, the canvas…it’s all perfection (and makes me wish i had a mantle).

It really is gorgeous, the minute I walked in the door, my eyes caught it and I loved it instantly!
I literally gasped.
Stunning isn’t even close to describing it.

Love it! The picture is gorgeous…. I might have stared at it for a while when you tweeted it. (But not in a crazy stalker way.) Heh.
I have a favorite picture that I want to put on canvas. I’ve been dropping hints to Hubby for ages now, but I think it’s probably something I should just DO. Merry Christmas to ME!
I love it! Gorgeous!!
The amazing thing is that the canvas (and the entire grouping) is even more beautiful in person.
That is gorgeous! I’m dying to have a family shot that is worthy, but with 5 of us and the big span in ages it ain’t easy.
Congrats again! Your mantle looks great.
Oh, the colors are just, so, … you. Inspiring.
Steph

Congratulations on Eli’s baptism. I’m happy to hear that it was a glorious day!
Inspiring, mama! I want my “over the fireplace” to look something like that!
LOVE! It’s Beautifully “PERFECT!”
I think perfect would describe it accurately! Can you hop on a plane and come do that for me up in Canada??
