It’s Giveaway Day! | Lands’ End

November 10th, 2010

isbfl-giveaway-day

This giveaway is over! Winner announced this weekend!

Two years ago, Lands’ End sent winter coats for Anna, Noah and I. They are the most comfortable and warm coats ever. Of course, my coat has held up really well because I stay far, far away from snow and well, honestly, driving with a coat on is not fun for me, so I usually just wear a sweater and freeze to death.

{I hate winter.}

BUT, when I do put my coat on, I can honestly say that it’s comfortable and warm and I really love it.

And the kids’ coats? They lasted two whole long, agonizing, freezing winters. And they’re kids who actually play in snow and mud and stuff.

I’m impressed.

So, when Lands’ End asked me if we’d like to try their new line of coats, I remembered that my kids have grown a A LOT since 2009, I agreed.

Anna picked the pink one and Noah picked the green one.

coats

They are really “fancy” coats. There’s even something that wraps comfortably around their thumb that prevents the sleeves from moving up. (which is really important when playing in the stupid snow.)

They love their coats and I SWEAR to you, so do I.

And guess whaaaaat? I get to giveaway a coat to one of my lucky readers!

One lucky reader will receive either the Boy’s Expedition Parka, the 3-in-1 Squall Parka, or for Girl’s the Girl’s Expedition or the Squall Parka. ($99.50 value)

How does one enter to win?

1.  Just leave a comment telling me what you like about winter.  (and do not say “nothing, think positive!)

2.  Do not say “PICK ME” because it makes me jab Sharpies repeatedly into my eyes.

3.  Tweet, Facebook or blog about this giveaway and leave each individual link in the comments.  Four ways to win!

PLEASE NOTE – Many comments go under moderation.  If you do not see your comment show up immediately, IT’S OKAY.  It will show up. Pinky swear.

Good luck!

US & Canada residents only.  One winner will be chosen randomly.  The comments for this post will close November 11th, 2010 at 12:00 pm CST.

My favorite part of winter…snow! Because for me its a teacher workday and I choose to spend those doing my most important job, hanging out with my babies; it’s playing outside & then coming in to warm, comfort foods like mac & cheese & hot chocolate; its a stack of movies that we never made it to theater to see; it’s cuddling under warm blankets & enjoying a cozy fire; it’s forced family time that I secretly LOVE!

Things I love about winter: hot chocolate, cozy sweaters, Christmas lights, my little boys with pink cheeks and crazy hat hair, NO HUMIDITY (at last, I can straighten my hair and it lasts TWO days instead of just one, woo!). :)

Something good about winter… okay…. I like those days where you wake up and look out the window and all the trees are frosty and white and everything is still and crisp and lovely.

    Pick… hee hee… just kidding!

Anyway… I love cozying up with my kiddos in the winter mornings, pulling the blinds up to watch it snow and knowing that we have to reason to get out of our jammies before 10:00 or eat breakfast before 9:00. I love cranking the heat up just a bit higher and padding around the house in our slippers.

Oh yeah… and I love ripping it up on my snowboard at the mountain! I can’t wait to get my four year old up there this winter!

I love waking up after an overnight snowstorm! The white fluffy stuff covering everything, and sparkling in the bright, bright sun! (And I love it even more if I know I don’t have to leave the house and I can just enjoy it from inside)

I love the holidays. And I love freak snow storms that produce enough snow to make a good snowman or at least some good snow balls to start a war on the cul-de-sac. We don’t usually get a lot down here in Texas, so it’s fun and exciting when we do.

Winter means snow and in our family that means snow walks, we are get dressed up in our winter gear, grab the dog and head out walking in the snow, we will stop and make snow angels, throw snow balls, race and just have fun. We end our time with hot chocolate and red cheeks.

(note: I am a us resident living overseas, and would have this item shipped to my mom, who would bring it over to me when she visits next. :) ).
