This giveaway is over! Winner announced this weekend!
Two years ago, Lands’ End sent winter coats for Anna, Noah and I. They are the most comfortable and warm coats ever. Of course, my coat has held up really well because I stay far, far away from snow and well, honestly, driving with a coat on is not fun for me, so I usually just wear a sweater and freeze to death.
{I hate winter.}
BUT, when I do put my coat on, I can honestly say that it’s comfortable and warm and I really love it.
And the kids’ coats? They lasted two whole long, agonizing, freezing winters. And they’re kids who actually play in snow and mud and stuff.
I’m impressed.
So, when Lands’ End asked me if we’d like to try their new line of coats, I remembered that my kids have grown a A LOT since 2009, I agreed.
Anna picked the pink one and Noah picked the green one.

They are really “fancy” coats. There’s even something that wraps comfortably around their thumb that prevents the sleeves from moving up. (which is really important when playing in the stupid snow.)
They love their coats and I SWEAR to you, so do I.
And guess whaaaaat? I get to giveaway a coat to one of my lucky readers!
One lucky reader will receive either the Boy’s Expedition Parka, the 3-in-1 Squall Parka, or for Girl’s the Girl’s Expedition or the Squall Parka. ($99.50 value)
How does one enter to win?
1. Just leave a comment telling me what you like about winter. (and do not say “nothing, think positive!)
2. Do not say “PICK ME” because it makes me jab Sharpies repeatedly into my eyes.
3. Tweet, Facebook or blog about this giveaway and leave each individual link in the comments. Four ways to win!
PLEASE NOTE – Many comments go under moderation. If you do not see your comment show up immediately, IT’S OKAY. It will show up. Pinky swear.

The one thing I like MOST about winter is getting the the 4 x 4 and driving around on snow covered roads!!
I love going to the beach in the winter and chuckling to myself at the tourists swimming in what I consider freezing water.
I love the holidays.
But most of all – I love blankets and hoodies
One of my favorite things about winter is getting ‘snowed in’. Which, since I live in Georgia, means that no one goes anywhere. I love how the snow makes everything glow and cloaks the world in silence.
I like the rare winter days when it’s not windy and about 35 to 40 degrees and there snow on the ground – but not too much!
I love when my babies come in from playing in the snow and want to snuggle up with me and hot chocolate. Daddy gets outside duty…and I get inside duty…the best part!
I love the lavender daydreams one b/c my favorite color is purple!
SNOW! and getting out of work for it!
I like hot chocolate and fires and blankets. I also like watching the snow fall from inside my WARM house.
)
I love drinking hot chocolate!
I’m not really a winter fan, but if I had to pick something that I liked I would say sitting by the fireplace with a good book.
I like sending my kids out to play in the snow and then surprising them with hot cocoa when they come back inside to warm up.
(My daughter and I both have the Squall Parka and I am ordering one for my son this week. Love it! Warm, but not bulky.)
I love the first snow and how exciting it seems. I love how beautiful the snow and ice make the trees. And I love to snuggle up with a good book with a cup of hot chocolate .
I love the PINK one – so bright versus the regular drab winter colors.
I actually love winter, the crispness of the air, fresh snow, and the smell of a fire in the fireplace. Love it all!
The thing I love about Winter is when the trees look all snow and ice covered. It is simply beautiful!
I am all about winter! It’s cold and you can continue to layer until you are warm! Winter also means that you have less to worry about … such as mosquito bites, insects and rodents, snakes … all those creepy crawly things that make warm weather miserable. Winter is also the prime time for snuggling with my precious grandsons and having hot cocoa!
I love how our family “slows” down in the winter. It seems as if the summer just flies by because we have a million of plans all the time.
I have ordered Lands’ end jackets for my boys and I just love them!
My new favorite thing about winter is cutting out waxed paper snowflakes with my children and hanging them in all of our windows! We started last year, thanks to Martha Stewart’s urging and I loved it so much!
A couple years ago I made a list of everything I LOVE about winter….here are a few:
taking baths
wearing scarves
lighting candles
drinking hot chocolate
fresh snow
cuddling up on the couch
Love love love cutting out waxed paper snow flakes with my children and hanging them in the window!
(I got an error at the first try. Deepest of deep apologies if this is a duplicate)

There’s so much to love about winter – it’s my favorite season! I love snow, holidays, hot chocolate, doing puzzles and playing games by the fire and the holiday lights.
I love winter because of Nutcracker!!! long rehearsals with friends hanging out at the coffee shop at lunch.all of the costumes…..its just a fun time of the year for me!!

I live in Las Vegas, so winter is a time to escape the severe heat of summer. Believe me, it does get cold here!
The very first big snow of the season and the excitement in my son’s eyes. He knows he will be out in it the minute we say “ok – go!”
I’m not big on the winter … especially with living on the East Coast. I do love to be indoors when it is snowing outside … watching the snow cover the trees is just beautiful (just as long as I have to drive in it).
I love snow, mostly because where we live we usually only get snow for one or two days and then it goes away, so it always seems magical to me.
i like that it’s cold enough for me to make some hearty soups for dinner!
I love hanging out in the nice warm lodge at the ski resort near our house with ds while hubby is on the slopes. I do not ski. Ever.

Comfort food, I love to eat all the favorites
I LOVE the months of November and December. It’s just January thru March I am not too much a fan of. I LOVE Christmas, the smell of a REAL tree in our house. The Eggnog I just added to my Oberweis order last night. The fact I get to wear slippers as shoes, AKA, Ugg boots. I could go on…………but, then it does get a little old in those other months, but it tends to make Spring all the sweeter.
Hey, I like winter b/c in winter I do not have to pull weeds or water flowers. So that’s a plus, I guess. And the snow is pretty sometimes.
My favorite thing about winter is how beautiful everything looks with a fresh coat of snow! So, quiet and calm.
