The winner is Amy! Congrats, Amy.
And special thanks to Tracey!
This morning, as we pulled out of our driveway to head to school, the kids counted down to Christmas, wondered what we should do for Daddy’s Birthday (today!), talked about snow and commented on the Christmas music playing on the radio.
Noah, my six year old, leaned his head back on the seat and said “man, life is so awesome.”

I love that he realizes this because as adults, it’s so hard to take the time to honor life and all of the gifts it has to offer us, which is why I’m so excited about this giveaway.
You’ve probably heard of Tracey Clark, if not, here’s your formal introduction.
Friends, this is Tracey Clark, photographer extradordinaire.
Tracey Clark, meet my friends. (the friendliest faces on the internet, I do believe.)
Tracey has created a photography workshop titled “Picture the Holidays – 30 days of festive photography.”
In her words:

I am beyond excited to be starting this e-class on December 1st but I’m doubly excited to be able to give one of you the opportunity to join in on this amazing opportunity to try to soak in the holiday goodness while honing in on your photography skills.
The class runs from December 1 – 31st. For more information about Tracey and her e-class, click here. Tracey has offered numerous e-classes in the past and has received rave reviews from her alumni. I honestly can not wait to begin. Who will be joining me?
(and if this all wasn’t awesome enough, One lucky student will be randomly selected to win a coveted Epiphanie Camera Bag! I’m pretty sure I’ll be the winner, so don’t get too excited.)
What does one need to do in order to enter?
First, you need a camera, any camera will work!
Second, I need you to tell me what you do to treat yourself during the holidays. Is it a night out with friends sharing cookies & laughter? Dinner with your husband after shopping? Sitting by the tree sipping tea after the kids are in bed…spill it. I want to know!
Third, do not say “pick me.”
Fourth, share the exciting details about this giveaway on your Facebook page, blog or your twitter account and leave the link in the comments!
This giveaways ends tomorrow night (November 30th) at 10:00pm CST. So, get busy!
And good luck!
(some comments are under moderation, if you do not see your comment pop up right away, it will, I promise!)

I love to turn on Christmas music as we clean up after dinner, get my son ready for bed and read a book on the couch by the tree. I absolutely love that it sounds like a story but it’s just a regular December night in south Carolina!!!
I just love to sit by myself listening to Christmas music with only the Christmas lights on in the evening. It is so relaxing and enjoyable.

I eat holiday pie for breakfast when nobody’s watching.
My husband & I snuggle and read by the light of the Christmas Tree after the kids go to bed…
I told my world about your giveaway on my blog. Thanks!

While I out shopping for everyone else I’ll pick up a treat for myself and hide it from the kids and hubby. Flavored coffee, hot chocolate, dark chocolate, a magazine, etc. I then take a hot bath with lavender vanilla bubble bath and give everyone orders that unless there is serious emergency I better not be disturbed.
Hi Beth!
I can’t even think about relaxing yet…there’s so much to do! However, this morning my husband called to let me know of the many days he plans on staying home to help me get holiday things done. I’m hoping there will be some relaxing in there too!!
I like to indulge in all of the seasonal/holiday events going on around town; I like to go ice skating, visit the botanical gardens when they’re decorated for the holidays and drive around town to see the Christmas lights. I love to see other people as excited for the holidays as I am!
I’m already registered for this course so no need to enter me in the giveaway but thanks for offering such an awesome prize. Can’t wait to see everyone’s work!
matt & i trade kids with one of our couple friends for the day. it is so fun. we have their kids one full day…morning through dinner time, then they have ours for the same amount of time. we usually use this time to finish up shopping or wrap gifts…go out to eat…do a house project & just slow down & enjoy each other.
i love that the other couple gets that, too.

Our anniversary is on December 21st, 4 days before Christmas…we usually take that time to get away for a night or two and relax before Christmas. It is wonderful!! We will be celebrating 14 years of wedded bliss!

You know how the kids get those awesome, festive, soft Christmas jammies? Well, I usually buy myself some new jammies too. I mean, why not? Of course now I need to clean out my jammie drawer…
I must admit, this e-class sounds FABULOUS. I want to win!!
I tweeted too! http://twitter.com/#!/elainea/status/9472960804954113
At Christmas, I indulge in an extra cookie or two (or three).
We pack the kids up in the car, put on Christmas music and randomly drive around neighborhoods looking for Christmas lights.
Sometimes, in the middle of running Saturday errands, which seems to take up my FULL Saturdays around the holidays, I’ll sneak in a massage at a place that does them for $40. No one knows except me, and I’m a much better wife and mom for the rest of the weekend.
I treat myself by making homemade hot cocoa for myself & my significant other. We drink it together in the quiet living room under the glow of the Christmas tree & other decorations. I feel warm inside & out. I love Christmas time. The whole season is a treat for me.
I totally love sitting by the fire, with the tree lit, a fire in the fireplace, a good book and a glass of wine. Heaven–even better if the kids are asleep, or at least in another room
After we put the kids to bed on Christmas Eve, and after the presents are around the tree, my hubby and I like to drink some wine by the light of the Christmas tree, listening to Christmas music.
Of course, a night out with the girls is always a good idea too!
We got engaged at Christmas time so every year on December 23rd, we have a “date night,” even if “date night” consists of last minute Christmas shopping.
This sounds like so much fun! During the holidays, I treat myself to Starbucks Peppermint Mochas once a week.
I indulge in my favorite treats! It’s no fun to do all that yummy baking if I’m not going to sample everything! Though it probably sounds like punishment to some, I make sure I carve out time for myself to workout so that even if I do pack on a couple of pounds, I will keep things up and work it after the holidays off when all of my calorie gorging comes to an end.
What a fantastic giveaway!
I treat myself by sitting with a mug of hot cocoa, looking at the tree and listening to Christmas music for a bot before bed each night.
I shared the your blog link and giveaway info on my FB wall but, don’t know how to post the link here.
We drive around looking at Christmas lights and let the kids sleep in our bed Christmas Eve!!
To treat myself….I go shopping alone, have a peppermint hot chocolate, and then order pizza to eat after we wrap all the gifts….in shifts so nobody knows what everyone else has gotten! Hey, a mom of five will take what she can get!
I am trying to get a link through on my blog….
I’m treating myself by saying “no” to some thigns and not over-booking myself this season.
I tweeted about it @lifelovegreen
Treat myself? my favorite things to do during the holidays are to go do fun christmas stuff with my children. That in itself is a treat!
Well I shared on FB, http://www.facebook.com/cara.harrison
but I doubt you’d be able to see it, since I lockdown my wall to all non-friends. So you’re just going to have to trust me on this, right?
I love to watch holiday movies at least a few times a week. Put on my jammies, light a candle, grab a piece of pie or some cookies and just chillax in front of the tree!
Me time? That’s funny! Well, actually I’d have to say it when the hubster and I get a chance to sit down and watch a movie after the kids are in bed, the kitchen is clean, laundry folded, floors swept….yeah, you get the picture. You can probably guess how often that happens.
I’m digging the Stylish Seams, but just spent quite a bit of time browsing, but didn’t get through all of them. Gotta go back and look some more.
I enjoying putting up the Christmas tree and decorations each year with the kids. We also enjoy a visit from our elf Braxton who has a way of tearing things up from time to time.
This is awesome. I registered for the class immediately when it was posted—can not wait!! I find myself needing toooooo many reminders these days on how to enjoy things. How did that happen???
How do I make an effort to enjoy the holidays? This year is the first of this new tradition, but my husband and I spent one night during thanksgiving week just sitting in front of the completely underused fireplace, sipping wine and talking about our dreams (something we used to do when we dated but have long since forgotten) and reminding ourselves how insanely blessed we are by our 3 children, our beautiful home and where we are in life. That definitely made thanksgiving memorable and less about the details of the day and more about our family. Looking forward to doing the same this christmas.
I love this idea. Every year with more on my plate I have less spirit and this would be such a great way to reclaim it!
This year I’m going to pamper myself by tossing or boxing all of the old, junky, dated, handed-down, means-nothing-to-me Christmas decorations. Only things I LOVE and which represent my family (husband and kids!) comes out. No more Christmas decorations out out out of obligation! I want my home to be my respite from all the obligation of the season!
I actually registered for Tracy’s class already!!!
I’m excited to give it a try… but I’m nervous that I won’t push myself to do what I’m supposed to do.
Are you sure I can’t say Pick me?! I don’t think I ever have but it sounds fun! LOL
As for my treat during the holidays well #1) My birthday is Dec. 14, I NEVER make a big deal of it,but I do usually treat myself to a dinner I want and not give a hoot about the kids. (Totally not true, but it’s my 40th this year and I think I can get away with it). #2) On Black Friday (Yessireebob!) Mike and I go out a few hours after the crowds and shop and then go to lunch together. It’s our one day a year that we go to lunch together, I’m tell you, I look forward to it all year long!
Wow, what an awesome opportunity. Treat during the holidays is peppermint hot cocoa!
I don’t do much to treat myself. But occasionally I will go to Starbucks and get peppermint hot chocolate. So yummy!
I bake and eat and eat some more and don’t really worry about it (of course I also run….).

How I treat myself during the holidays —
I turn off all the house lights, leave the tree and the mantle lit, light the holiday candles in the crosses on the walls, get a glass of wine, turn my Andrea Bocelli Christmas CD on low and sit.
Sometimes I count my blessings, sometimes I breathe deeply but usually — I just sit and relish.
xo
With the December weekends jam-packed with events, I decided to take Mondays off. I figured that would give me the chance to relax (a bit), run errands when the stores aren’t as crazy, wrap presents when the family isn’t around…. things like that. I think I’ll book myself a massage too…
I tweeted.
@Lyndsay0676
I usually take advantage of the time after the kids go to bed to sew and create fun stuff for gifts!!
I facebooked!! Glenda Piper
I love to have a Starbucks Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate and listen to Christmas music. It’s not much but it’s the little things. I was actually hoping Tracey’s class would keep me centered and help me really enjoy the season even more!
I posted on my FB page but not sure about how to link it here…
