Hi friends.
Let’s see if I can whip up a nice little You Capture post now. Since I last posted about my technical difficulties, I took a few (ten thousand) deep breaths, made a batch of (boxed) chocolate chip and (boxed) blueberry muffins and swept and mopped my floor. Eli is now busily pushing the highchair around the kitchen floor. I swear he thinks he’s three. HE’S EIGHT MONTHS OLD FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.
He loves playing on the kitchen floor which is delightful because I needed the incentive to sweep up the dried taco meat off of the floor. I’m just kidding. I DID NOT have dried taco meat on the floor.
(OHMYGOD, YES I DID.)
Anyway, I have all sorts of sweetness for you.
Mostly in the form of kids.
Like my two older kids who helped me decorate the tree. Brian and I sat on the couch and drank Bailey’s and they did the work. It was magical.

On Tuesday morning, I had coffee with Sarah Viola. We used to do this often but then we both had babies and we both have businesses at home, so we’ve been failing at making time for this luxury, but we did this week. So, I got to see Asher’s eyelashes.

I mean, Asher’s eyes.

I mean ASHER!
And here’s a chocolate chip muffin for you. Well, they’re really for my brother in Iraq, but you can have one.

Now it’s your turn to share some sweetness!

{more You Capture info can be found here.}
Outside. Put your gloves on, grab your camera and take in this season while it’s still new. Come back inside, stir up some hot chocolate and download your images. That’s an order!
oh and Sarah Viola showed me that Target carries Peppermint Whipped Cream, so you better add that to your hot cocoa.
Happy Capturing!

Ummmm… I just swept up dried taco meat today too. I guess I’m glad that I’m not the only one?
Those eyes and those eyelashes… amazing.
What?!?! Peppermint whipped cream??? Why have I never heard of this beyond wonderful thing??? I’m off to look for some to help me celebrate my birthday tomorrow – what a wonderful gift that would be to myself!!
Thanks for the heads up!
Asher’s eyes are pretty much the sweetest thing ever, and I would pay good money to have eyelashes like that.
Also, I want Bailey’s.
Love the way your son is leaning way over to decorate – almost Norman Rockwellian!
The picture of your kids decorating the tree is adorable, and i LOVE that you and your hubby sat back and watched and had Bailey’s, i knew we had a lot in common
Those eyes! Wow…I love the pictures and I love You Capture. Thanks again for hosting.
What glorious photos! And those eyes, oh my, those eyes! Magnificent!
Love the tag sticking out of the jammies, and the crocs! Also, while it makes me cringe a bit when I see how unevenly arranged the ornaments on our tree are, it is worth it b/c the kids like the decorating way more than me.
Woah! Those eyelashes are extraordinary! As are his eyes.
And your kids decorating the tree is extra sweet since you got to just watch.
Love how Noah’s tag is sticking out of his jammies. That happens around here ALL the time! HA!
In our house we never have to worry about dried taco meat on the floor…because the dog cleans it up almost immediately
Asher has gorgeous eyes AND eyelashes!
And that shot of your kids decorating the tree is definitely one to cherish!
I just love the picture of the kids decorating the tree-precious! I had to chuckle about the incentive to clean the kitchen floor. I might have to borrow him for an afternoon so I can find some motivation to mop!
Those eyes certainly are amazing!
Great shots! Love those big blue eyes!
I love your tree decorating picture!
Mmmmmm peppermint whip cream…. drooooooool!!!!!
LOVE THOSE EYES. Those eyes are so very sweet. Also, the Christmas pic… awesome!
What beautiful shots, & what a wonderful capture the first one is…Sweet indeed! This is my first time linking up with you…thanks for the challenge, as you did make me pick up my camera today to capture a moment that would have otherwise been missed :0)
Gorgeous shots!
And I hope all of your friends don’t look at you like you’re nuts for having a child who pushes articles of furniture around. I did. My two boys, at one time or many, tried to pick up (1) our bed, (2) a 40 lb. container of laundry detergent, and (3) assorted hand weights that weighed more than the child did at the time. They also delighted in pushing the kitchen chairs from one end of the kitchen to the other. I would leave the room, hear the noise, and return to find that half of the chairs around the table had been herded like cattle over to the dishwasher. Both boys took that “job” very seriously.
The next phase, naturally, was climbing on the chairs to reach what was in the cabinets.
thank you for sharing about the dried taco meat, today has been kind of a cruddy day and it made me feel less isolated which is what it feels like being a busy mom coming out of an abnormally unhealthy and busy time of year…
Super cute pics, I agree with Amy, next phase is climbing on chairs-this one scares the crap out of me… or getting too close to our woodstove equally frightening. I do want to say that “You Capture” has made me take more pictures of my son than I would have before and I am so thankful to have these photos I can treasure forever thanks!!!
Oh his eyelashes!!
Steph
Totally have had dried taco meat or worse on my floors. ugh the joys of young babies.
