I have two seven year olds. One who turned seven just a few short hours ago. He woke up at 12:54am because of a bad dream, after a few minutes, I told him it was his birthday and that thought completely wiped out the nightmare he had.
A few interesting things about Noah: he weighed ten pounds at birth, he wore a 3T when he was one, he prefers the flu shot to the flu mist, he was late to crawl, walk, talk, drink out of a sippy cup, he is an exceptional reader and loves school, every thing about it. He’s fair, follows nearly every single rule and believes in never quitting. He’s one of my biggest supporters, he always has an encouraging thing to say and he’s wildly crazy and an awesome dancer.
He amazes us everyday. We will never lose sight of how lucky we are to have him in our lives.

Last night I sat down with Noah and asked him some very important questions. He was very eager to answer and also very eager to stop and play his DSi.
So, Noah. How old are you going to be tomorrow? Seven.
Are you excited? I’m really, really, really excited.
What’s your favorite thing to do? Play Wii and take guitar lessons which I have only done for one day.
Did you enjoy guitar lessons? Yes, really really much. It was really hard.
Are you going to practice every single day. Yes, I am.
What’s your favorite color? Green
Why? I just like it so much.
What do you love most about school? I love doing rocket math.
Are you good at it? Yes, I’m already on subtraction.
Would you say you’re a math wizard? Yes.
Who are your best friends at school? ethan, tristan, cade, justin, emily, fabio, liam, addison, gavin.
Who else is your best friend in your life? Well, Ethan.
What do you like about Ethan? In kindergarten, I let him cut in front of me, a lot.
Why? Because he wants to cut.
So, you let him? Yes. All the time.
What do you love most about your life? I love playing Wii, going to the fair, especially my birthday and bowling, cause I got a strike.
Did you go bowling today? Yes, I got a strike, a spare and a split.
Do you think you’re awesome? Yes.
What’s your favorite song? That’s a hard thing….Pump it by Black Eyed Peas.
How do you feel about The Beatles? They’re really awesome because they write so much songs.
What’s your favorite Beatles song? That’s a hard decision…Back in the U.S.S.R.
What do you like most about your family? I love all of them because they’re really helpful.
Since your last birthday you became a big brother, do you love being a big brother? Yes, I do, because I have a little brother.
Why is that special? Because he’s almost ten months old and he likes his toys a lot.
Can I sleep in your bed tonight? No because you already have your own bed.
Yes, but, don’t you want to cuddle with me, all night? Yeah, but…you…probably will squish me and you might be too warm.
I see. Tomorrow, on your birthday, I’m going to kiss you 59 times, is that okay? No, you can do it about 13, no… about, four.
hmmm…your Mom loves you. I do, too.

Enjoy birthday interviews from the past: 4 years | 5 years | 6 years

I love Noah. Happy Birthday little man!
p.s. I was seriously looking forward to reading this since you mentioned it the other day and it did not disappoint.
Love it! Do you also voice record these? They’re voices are so innocent and pure, so I think it’d be cool to have these so you can listen to them over and over when they’re not so little anymore. Love your idea though!
Too. Cute.
Happy Birthday, Noah. You will love being 7!
This was great. I think I must borrow this idea and not give it back. Love the randomness of the questions, like what is your favorite Beatles song? I enjoy your writing and humor, Beth. I have tried to comment several times but it seems my comments never go through and not sure this one will either, but had to try.
