You Capture | Happy

January 27th, 2011

Welcome back, everyone! (or just “welcome” to the newcomers this week!)

I am certain you all had a good time capturing “happy.” How could you not? It’s so…so…happy.

Right?

Here Eli is where he’s happiest, right in front of the washing machine. Which is odd because I can’t stand being there.

Noah received Perfection for his birthday, here’s Anna and Noah directly after the surprise “POP!” I may or may not start playing this when the kids are in school.

Cake makes me happy. Except I don’t have a photo of cake. But still. It makes me happy.

I had three newborn sessions this week and well, that makes ME happy. (and also a little, totally and completely overwhelmed, but still…HAPPY.)

There’s my happy! I can’t wait to see yours!

Love your shots! I’ve especially been enjoying the results of your newborn sessions … and of course your beautiful birthday posts. Thanks for the excuse to focus on “happy” this week! Sometimes not so easy to do in the middle of winter. :)

Dood. I’m pretty sure you should harness Eli’s joy in front of the washing machine and encourage/train him to do all your laundry for you. j/k. (sort of.) :)

Beth- Our kids received that game as the “pickle gift” this year for Christmas- they love it.

That baby just warms my heart. I would love the opportunity to photograph just 1 newborn like that. So precious.

Great list! In front of the washer is one of my least favorite places too, which is why there is a big old pile of laundry waiting to be done. And thanks, now I really want cake-good thing you didn’t have a picture or I would really really want some! :)

It was only adorable Eli parked in front of it that saved me from drooling over your washer rather than your awesome photos and beautiful children this week ;)

Beth, your photos are delicious! I adore the newborn shots, they are so awesome. I have been participating in You Capture off and on for a year or so, and I just wanted to tell you that you have improved so much over the past year. Your photos have gone from great to spectacular! I just “found” you on Facebook, too, so I have another way of enjoying your work.

Thanks for hosting this great challenge!

Your happy makes me happy, too! : ) Can’t help but smile when you look at those adorable faces.

If I ever get a decent camera I am certainly going to join this weekly challenge. It’s just tough to do when your camera is as bad as mine. And also when your photography skills are as bad as mine. ; )

Congrats on all the amazing newborn sessions! Your work is fantastic.

Out of all these happy photos, I have to say that I just love that top photo of your baby boy in front of the washing machine. It is just so sweet.

Anyway, I’m psyched that I got an opportunity to shoot this week. My post is up now so I’m going to add it. Thank you again for hosting these challenges! I’m having so much fun with it.

I just joined in on the You Capture last week. I am really enjoying it and it is really challenging me to see my photography with a new eye. I have to say though, emotions are hard to capture when you are not surrounded by children or many other people. I work night shift and miss seeing my family for those three nights/days a week. My son is grown so I only see him on weekends most of the time.
But these topics are really making me put more thought into my photos. Looking forward to “red” for this coming week.

LOL, yeah it doesn’t take long for washing machines to lose that little bit of magic!
Your newborn shot is just gorgeous, makes me want another baby just so I can have a photo like that…since I don’t suppose any one of my kiddos would be willing to pose for me. (Now I am giggling at the thought of my big brute of a 16 year old posed like that. LOL)

Great photos. It’s been quite a while since I have participated in a “You Capture” challenge. I’ve missed it. I quit blogging for a while and now I’m ready to start blogging again. I’m going to take some photos over the weekend of things that make me happy. Thanks for reminding me how much fun blogging and photography can be.
