I just had this realization that I’ve never videotaped Eli and shown him to you. How he looks when he hears music or when he sees someone in his family. He loves to flip through books and build blocks. He really, really loves cars. He drives them around and makes car noises. He does the sign for “more” and says “all done!” and “uh oh.” (but never upon request.) I need to share his actions with you.

I am seriously struggling with the fact that we are going to be celebrating his first birthday in three weeks. This year has been the fastest year of my life. Brian was talking the other day about how quickly it has gone by. That with Eli we’ve been so aware of him and the gift that he is that we never wished a away a single moment, we try to savor it all, yet, the year, it has flown.

This month is going to be incredibly busy. Today, we are leaving to visit my sister in Louisville. We just love to visit them. I’m hoping to get some updated shots of Eli and Trey. Remember these from last summer? So hilarious.

In two and a half weeks, we are leaving for Florida. Brian’s parents have a timeshare there, we are so lucky to be able to stay there. We are looking forward to a week of warmth and palm trees and family time. I can’t wait for the family time.

I’m working hard on getting our lives back on track. We were completely broadsided by Noah being so sick for so long, then Anna,  then me traveling for five days. It’s taken a few days but I think we are getting back to normal. (I love normal.) And now look! We are heading out of town again!

But it’s all good. This week? Was an amazing week. I can only imagine that the weekend could be better.

That’s my wish for you. I wish you an amazing weekend.

I’m off to shower, work, laundry and pack! (but I’ll be rewarded with donuts, nachos and a Miller Lite when I get there. It’s going to be totally worth it.)
