Greetings from Tennessee! Yep, the five of us are in our hotel room, four of us are sleeping. I’m enjoying the beautiful silence that exists in our room right now.
We hit the road at 8:15 this morning and really had such a good travel day that I’m scared tomorrow will be completely different. (we even hit two traffic jams! Still a good day!) Anyway, even if tomorrow is full of grouchy kids, a sleepy Mama and an semi-pleasant Daddy, well, I’ll still call ourselves extra lucky. After all, WE ARE ON VACATION!
(side note: as we were approaching Tennessee today, Noah, who was so excited for today to get here, he said “Mom, I’m so happy, I’m going to cry.” Sure enough, he started wiping his eyes. What an amazing little seven year old boy!)
Alright, let’s cut to the chase, I’ve got sleepin’ to do!
Here are my youth photos. Nothing fancy but great captures of my two big kids!
I love this photo of Anna because we were actually having a very serious discussion about drugs. The fact that she had a slinky in her hands was a great reminder to me that she’s still just a little kid. (and a great one, too!)

And here’s silly, silly Noah playing Wii in his brother’s toy box.

(sorry I don’t have my settings this week. They’re on my computer at home!)
It’s your turn to share!

Happy Capturing!

I love how these are both pics of every day life but still so wonderful. Anna’s eyes are awesome.
Gosh this are sharp shots! I just ordered my first Canon L lens and I can’t wait for it to get here but it’s shipping from Japan so it could be a while!
I am so jealous that you are already on vacation and actually taking a vacation. We almost were going to the Smokeys and then Dick had his accident. Oh well, maybe next spring break. Have a great trip!!
Love how you seem to have captured their individual personalities — right down to the color choices!
Love love her eyes. That really is a great capture. And my son would totally sit in the box like that too.
Beautiful captures of youth!
Beautiful photos, so cute! What are your activities for the next vacance-days? I’m sure, you all are happy to relax and to share time together, aren’t you?!
Best wishes and further fun in the vacances from Germany…
Great shots as always…love Noah in the toy box
I like how you are having a serious conversation and yet she is playing with a slinky…too cute. I didn’t do photos this week. Instead I did a family history interview with my grandmother based around your theme for the week. I managed to learn some history tidbits during the process too.
beautiful!
The epitome of youth is “innocence” and you sure captured their innocence in these pics!
your noah has such a tender heart. (good job, mama.)
have a beautiful trip, my dear!
Anna is grwoing up into such a gorgeous girl! Have a great vacation!
WOW- Beth, I love that one of your daughter! Those EYES!
Such a beautiful photos!
you kiddos are adorbs!!
I don’t have any young ones at home. So I photographed a nest of eggs!
Beautiful pictures!
Love, Renée
I love that your daughter is holding a slinky for “the drug talk” too. Phew, I am not looking forward to that talk with my kids (they are 4 and 1 right now, so I’m hoping that talk is way off in the far away future).
Oh, and I’m also glad someone else has a kid who loves to wii. My 4 year old loves her princess game and I feel sort of guilty about this. Not sure why.
Last, I wanted to mention that my husband is a huge idol fan and we’ve been reading through your idol chats. Very fun and great reads too. We’ll both definitely “tune in” to your chat next week too,
I always have such great ideas for photos…then life takes over, and I don’t get the fun, creative shots in. Sometime, though. {hopefully}.
