You Capture | Colorful

January 26th, 2012

Hi friends! Did you have a week full of color? Last week was Noah’s Lego party – it was filled with reds, blues, greens and yellows and uh, I forgot about You Capture. SHOOT!

Luckily, I found color elsewhere.

Like, Legos!

aaand bowls of fruit!

an apple, coffee and fruit

and macro strawberry shots! (still trying to figure out this lens!)

and Eli! (HE’S IS SO CUTE IT HURTS.)

my big guy

That’s it for me folks, now it’s your turn to share! Be sure to check back this week to see the featured photo of the week! (I didn’t choose one last week because my blog was so broken. Made it too hard to link up and visit blogs. heh.)

PLEASE READ THIS GUIDELINES, especially, yes, especially if you have never linked up!
1. Anyone can join in on the challenge at anytime.
2. Please make sure the photos you use were taken for the challenge, meaning do not search your archives for an appropriate photo. The goal of You Capture is to get you out taking photos each week!
3. Use YOUR photos.
4. When linking up, only link to your You Capture blog post, not your main blog URL. (incorrect links will be deleted.)
5. You MUST link back to You Capture in your post. (please do this! don’t link up to promote your blog or even to promote your own photo challenge, k?!)
6. I encourage you to visit other participants and leave comments. This is a great way to meet new friends!
{more You Capture info can be found here.}

Still life (we’ve done still life before but it’s been a loooong time. I just love it. For ideas how still life, go here!)

Happy Capturing!

I love the Legos shot – and Eli is adorable, as usual. :) I may also be a bit jealous over your new lens!

I’m kinda diggin on Eli’s shot…he’s just so stinking cute. But on the other hand I am sorta jealous of that new macro lens you got there. :)

Love that shot of the fruit in the bowl — and the bowl itself! And Eli’s smile is just heart melting :)
Did you get a 100mm macro? I’ve been thinking about getting one myself.

A lego party sounds fun! And I am SO excited for next week’s theme. Not sure what I’m going to do…but how fun! I spend so much time photographing my kids…this will be a nice change of pace! :) Yay!

Love those colorful Legos! I found that with the macro lens, the closer I get to something the higher I need to go with the aperture. If you go around shooting everything at 2.0 only one mm will be in focus.

I love the lego photo! And of course Eli is absolutely adorable. :)

And I accidentally ended up with two entries on the linky…I got an error the first time and I was impatient waiting to see if it would show up, I guess, and entered the second time. Sorry!

Hey Beth! What do you mean no one comments anymore?? You should see my blog! lol!
Just wanted to say I loved meeting your family – no wait – adorable family! Thank you for inspiring my daughter, and for the opportunity you gave her this past weekend. What mom isn’t happy when their daughter is happy??

I am a picture freak. I don’t have the talent that Kayla has, but I love to take them and view them. I am one of those who goes into someones house and LOVES to look at their photos. For me, they capture memories and make my heart smile big.

That being said, can you recommend a good point and shoot?

Thanks again for this weekend. It was SO nice to meet you!! Char
