I am such a fan of still life photography. I just think it’s so pretty. And I love pretty.
I took this photo the other night after dinner, after sweeping, while holding Clara. I had to crank up my ISO pretty high to let the light in, luckily my camera can handle that without creating a lot of noise.

and my other “still life” shots.

That’s it for me!
PLEASE READ THIS GUIDELINES, especially, yes, especially if you have never linked up!

Looking in
Happy Capturing!

I just love your chalkboard in the eating nook and all the lovely messages you write on it.
The flower shot is beautiful!
I love those chairs – so lovely!!!
Beautiful Beth- I do really appreciate a good still life photograph
I love that photo of your kitchen. About a year ago (I think) you posted a similar photo of your kitchen with some gorgeous light, and that photo inspired me to pick-up my camera and really work on my photography again. And start a blog. I think your blog was one of the very first I started to follow. And though I don’t comment all that often, I read every post and marvel at your beautiful photos. Which brings me to your previous post. The blogging business can be so overwhelming sometimes. I could spend hours reading everyone’s posts. And I SO wish I had the time to comment on all of them. Finding the time to work on my photography, and edit, and write blog posts, and read posts and comment…it all requires so much “me” time, which I don’t get much of as a mom (of just one!) But please know that I read. That you have inspired. I can totally picture that photo I saw last year…you don’t forget that kind of gorgeous light. Hugs – A
Okay, your chalkboard just inspired me to get a chalkboard like that in our eating area. I’m going to do it! And that message, wonderful. Now I have a new project…
Those peonies are gorgeous!!! Love, love, love that shot!
I am so excited to find your blog- I so should have folded the laundry but spent the last hour peeking around your place!
Thank you for hosting!

I love your chalkboard!
Nice shots!
Love the blackboard message! Sorry I linked twice. I got an error message both times. Guess it worked anyway
I love the chalkboard message in the first shot.
Love the captures of still life – since so few things in life are still. Especially the top one – an area that is usually so busy, but not in that moment. Lovely.
I did try to capture some stills this week, but didn’t quite get it to the blog – another time! You talk about adjusting your camera to make it light enough to take pictures inside with out noise – does noise = orange? I feel like when I try to adjust my lighting to shoot inside my pictures get orangey red quickly. Probably just (extreme) amateur user problems, but just wondering.
I love the 2nd shot of the flowers the best!!. Really lovely captures.
I love your still lifes. It’s fun to do, but so many of my pictures are about all the life on the farm that this one was a serious challenge for me. Thanks!
I miss comments too.
Love this challenge (and challenging it was!)… I need to do the “still life” thing more often.
I linked back to your post today. Check it out at ToadMama’s Interstitial Space.
Your photos are all, of course, really beautiful. What an inspiration you are! The three are so different – the first one tells a story, the last one is vibrant, and the middle one is just plain perfect. I love it the most!
I gave you a Liebster award! I know you have a lot of followers, but I wanted to share your blog with my friends.
