I sat in the rocking chair with Clara. She was beginning to fuss. It was obvious she was wanting to sleep but was having trouble getting there. I had her wrapped up in her sweet little blanket. Eli sat on the couch, his eyes tired from a cold and waking up too early. I watched him look over at me, evaluating the coziness of Clara and I snuggled up together. He got off the couch and stood in front of me with his arms up, his eyes big. It wasn’t easy but I manuvuered in such a way so he could sit with his. Clara stirred and began to cry, somehow I was able to nurse her. There we sat. Three people, perfectly comfortable, happy.
I sat there and realized how thankful I am for people. Seems so simplistic but really, how often do we say thanks for the people we interact with on a daily basis. Even those we don’t know.
I loved this week’s challenge. (I’m hoping it wasn’t too much of a challenge for you!)
I had a session this week with a little one:

and then there’s my people:

(first haircut!)

and playful people, sitting in their little brother’s desk.

and (reluctant) homework people.

and I have even more people but Clara is asking me, in not such a polite way, to feed her. So, I better listen.
